Softbank Hawks On March 16, manager Hiroki Kokubo visited Tama Home Stadium Chikugo in Chikugo, Fukuoka, and gave a “slow and steady” directive to the rehabilitated Akira Nakamura outfielder.
小久保監督は新人合同自主トレを視察し、練習前には訓示も述べた。ルーキーたちがウォーミングアップしている際には、昨年１１月受けた腰椎椎間板ヘルニア手術からのリハビリに励む中村と会話する場面も。山川、柳田らＳ班は２月１４日の第４クールから合流予定となっているが、中村は「（１４日に）合わさないと、と動いてもらっても困る」（小久保監督）と、復帰のめどに線引きは設けない。「『あまり焦らなくていい』という話をしました。体が健康なら開幕ベンチ入りすることは１００パーセント間違いない」とじっくり調整するように話し、万全を期した状態での復帰を待つ。
