2025年マリナーズレビュー:ミッチ・ガーバー――悪くなかった
This will be a short one. And I’ve got a doggy who’s not feeling great. So, we’re gonna just talk about Mitch Garver real quick. I’m not even going to go over the numbers. I’m not going to talk about what Mitch Garver did. We all know what happened with Mitch Garver. Signed a two-year, $24 million or so contract, the expectation of answering the DH question, and he didn’t. He did not. And I think it’s worth pointing out that Mitch Garver, while he did not live up to expectations or even close, he did help the Mariners at times. He had a huge hit against Atlanta in 2024. He had some clutch moments in 2025. The homer to put him ahead against the Angels that I remember the sack fly in game five to open the scoring after Josh Naylor shows off those wheels. Um I think he was better behind the plate than anybody could have expected. Um he just didn’t hit enough. flat out didn’t hit enough. And I’ll be curious to see what the Garver market looks like. I doubt Seattle’s all that interested. I kind of doubt how interested Garver would be in a reunion with Seattle, although he’s not a spring chicken by baseball terms. Gosh, this dog is so heavy. She’s 14 years old and she’s beautiful, but she’s so heavy. Yeah. Pets are good. Senior pets are the best. Um, I’m guessing Mitch Garver is playing elsewhere in 2026. And I won’t be shocked if he is a solid role player for somebody. Can’t imagine he’s getting a big guaranteed deal or anything like that, but I won’t be shocked if he helps someone. I it’s just I’ve seen this movie before. I have seen it before. Now, for every guy that I’m talking about along those lines, there are Colton Wongs who, you know, have a decent little second half, but aren’t heard from again, Stone Figgins and those type of guys. But we have seen Mariner guys, every franchise has seen it, but we have seen guys join the Seattle Mariners stink and then go have productive careers elsewhere. Seen it. Mitch Garver’s not so old that it’s impossible for that to happen or so useless. But it’s a disappointing thing because I I liked the Mitch Garver signing. I really did. I’m sorry, Molly. She was snoring so loud that I had to wake her up to record a video at 11:05 p.m. on Mitch Garver because I’m going to be gone all the day. All the dang day tomorrow. Leave it in the comments. There’s got to be a sum. Some of you might remember my favorite Mitch Garver moment. I said that if Mitch Garver hits a walk-off homer here that everyone has to buy a hedgehog on Twitter. And I don’t think anyone did. I know I didn’t. I want to get one for my nieces, but they seem uh apprehensive about it. Yep. Very short video. Mitch Garver, best of luck. likely somewhere else. I’ll record a video if that changes. Look at that girl. Say bye, Molly. Say thanks, Mitch Carver. What a I I can’t believe that this is going to be someone’s introduction to my way, but it’s pretty
Mitch Garver’s two-years with the Seattle Mariners have come to an end. There’s not a ton to say. Thanks for a couple big moments, but overall, this didn’t work out.
