This season marks his 12th year as a pro and his third since transferring to the team, and he has only played in one first-team game. In his three years with Orix, he only played in a total of 28 games, but he has also been praised for his contributions in less visible areas, such as cheering on the bench and creating a good mood.

Even so, he emphasized, “As a baseball player, my job is to play in games and prove my ability.” Although his rivals, such as Wakatsuki, Mori, and Fukunaga, are strong, he expressed his determination, saying, “There are many areas where I cannot lose,” and revealed his plans to train independently with Nishikawa and Softbank ‘s Kondo at the start of next year.

At the end of the press conference, he announced that he was getting married of his own volition. “So, I’ll work even harder,” he said with a serious expression.
