[Applause] One, two again and on the inside corner again at 99 for strike three call and Guerrero just got tossed out of the game and Vlatty takes a pitch and it caught the inside corner at 99. That’s a tough pitch to take, but you can see Vlatty, he didn’t agree with the call at all. And he said it’s inside. And look at him now. That’s what that’s what got him run when he pointed to the ground saying that ball was this far inside and that’s why he got thrown out. David Popkins might not see the end of the ball game tonight and he won’t. So Popkins is gone. [Applause]
Carlos Narvaez does a good job making sure this pitch is called correctly. With Crochet’s release point, that is a heavy 99 mph fastball that wants to pull that glove out of the zone. Narvaez fights the angle of the pitch (even though it’s a fastball, it still comes in at an angle) and works it back towards the zone, presenting a flat glove.
