Ryan McMahon or Amed Rosario?
The Yankees acquired Ryan McMahon at the trade deadline because they really needed a third baseman badly. Although, I think there’s a good chance that we don’t see him start a single game this series. The first one is Crochet. And let’s be honest with ourselves. I think it’s tough to imagine a world where Ryan McMahon is having success off Garrick Crochet. He is one for three off Crochet with only one strike out. But just with how with how high his K numbers are, how dominant Crochet is, I think you got to go with Ahmed Rosario who is 6 for9 in his career off Garrett Crochet. Then you go to game two against Lucas Gilo. McMahon’s 0 for6 against Gilito in his career. Whereas Rosario is 7 for 17 or even Cabayro who’s two for five off Gilito in his career. And then you move all the way to game three if there is one. Brian Bellow McMahon’s 0 for8 against Brian Bellow. And then go over to Jos Cabayro also plays an excellent third base and he’s four for N9. So I know this is just looking at specific starting pitcher matchups, but that’s kind of what you do when you’re making a starting lineup. So, I think McMahon might operate as a defensive replacement late in games in terms of his role for this
