コア・ロメロ – ハーンビル高校
Uh, my name is Keller Romero and I go to Hornville High School. Good to meet you today. Uh, class of 27, right? Yes, sir. I keep thinking you’re a 25 guy or 26 guy because you play football and baseball. Yes, sir. So, what sport did you start playing the earliest? Baseball. And were you always a pitcher? Uh, yes sir. Pretty good from what coach is telling me? Yeah, I’m all right. You come in and close things down. You can middle relief. You can do a little bit of everything, right? Yes, sir. You’re built like John Pearson of LSU, you know, you look like a linebacker, you know. Do you use that as your advantage? Strength? Uh, yeah. What What do you think’s your strength in baseball? Um, probably I’d probably say hitting power or just good getting on base. Um, I I get walked a lot. Uh, okay. You also have a little bit of power. you uh do you lean into the batters box pretty good or you you one of them guys that takes hits if you need to get on base? Yeah, if I need to get on one, I’ll I’ll take one. Um what do you like most about baseball? Um it’s it’s always fun hanging around my friends every day. The sport’s fun, you know, it’s very competitive. I like I’m a very competitive person. And I want to let people know in football you’re a linebacker slashfullback slash slash, right? So, you’re kind of utility in two sports. Yes, sir. What sport do you think you could play college in or do you think they’re even? Um, I’d probably say baseball. Okay. I I started playing football when I was in eighth grade. So, I kind of just play it for fun. 510, 220. Look like a classic Mike linebacker fullback to me. Yes, sir. Um, built like a catcher, huh? Um, catch. Yeah, I catch too. Yeah, I catch a little bit. Man, what don’t you do? You play first also if you need to. Uh, I did. I started off the air first. Okay. Everything but center field, huh? You play center. Well, man, good luck to you. And And before you go, since you’re not committed to any schools, in baseball, who is your dream school in baseball? And in football, who is your dream school? Um, I’d probably say LSU for both. Okay. It’s kind of the closest school to the closest big school to me and I’ve always been a fan. So, on a scale to one to 10, 10 being high, how much LSU baseball and football do you watch? Uh, probably I’d probably say like an eight. Pretty good bit. Yeah. So, you’re a fan of uh both sports programs? Yes, sir. Who couldn’t be? Like Burrow, Jaden Daniels, what Bregman, Nola, Gosman, and now Derek Curiel? Yes, sir. Is he going to be an all-American this year, you think? I think he will. if he keeps on hitting like he does. He’s been on base in 30 games straight. It’s insane as a true freshman. Good luck to you, man.
