Tied 3–3 in the 6th inning, the Saitama Seibu Lions rallied as leadoff hitter Leandro Cedeño doubled, and Natsuo Takizawa followed with a spirited headfirst infield single. With runners on second and third, Shota Hiranuma delivered a go-ahead RBI single through the right side! Shuta Tonosaki then added insurance with a sacrifice fly. A determined team effort put the Lions ahead!
