Fukoka currently has a oneame lead over the Fighters. Each team has 60 wins. The difference is is that the Hawks have tied two more games than what the Fighters have done. The Hawks enter tonight’s frey with 60 wins, 36 losses, and four ties with a winning percentage of 625. The Fighters entered the frey tonight with 100 games played, 60 wins, 38 losses, and only two ties with a 612 winning percentage. Both of these teams are going to be in a fight to the finish here to see who’s going to finish in the top spot. And it starts here tonight at the Pepe Dome, the best of three series. And two of the grizzled veterans taking the hill tonight and Kohi Arihara and Takayyuki Kado. Well, first of all, we’re going to give you the starting lineups for the visitors. Well, that’s your starting lineup for the fighters. Now, your starting lineup for the hometown Fukoka South Bank Hawks. Leading off in center field wearing number 23 is Yukio Shudo. Batting second in left field is number 32 Tatsuro Yanagamachi. Batting third in right field is number three Kensky Condo. In the cleanup spot and doing the designated hitting tonight is number five Utaka Yamakawa. Batting in the fifth spot at first base is number seven Akira Nakamura. He is seven and four on the year. He’s worked 88 in the third innings. He’s allowed 91 hits, 30 runs, 28 have been earned, walking seven and striking out 39, pitching two, a 2.85 ERA. Phil Cantalon’s in the house. Mike Cool Hooks is back again for more and we look forward to calling this one here for you tonight on the Last Raps Baseball YouTube channel. First pitch is just over 3 minutes away and we’ll be right back after this. [Music] It is the Fighters and Hawks. Top of the first inning just around the corner as the Hawks have taken the field. The tune-up tosses are about to begin for Arihara. And we’ll be back right after this. Hello, this is Eric Fox, formerly of the Oakland A’s and Texas Rangers baseball teams. You want to learn about Japanese baseball, see Coach Fred with Last Wraps Baseball. You want baseball instruction, see Coach Fred. You want to learn about golf, do not go to Coach Fred. Fred, what kind of club is this? At last baseball, we know baseball. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music] Sh. I [Music] [Applause] [Music] Welcome back everybody. Co Ahara is taken to the hill as he’s going to start his tuneup tosses. Our friend DJ Racer in the house says, “Is this Japanese baseball?” You bet it is. He said he loved watching Yokohama and Tokyo play. Well, this tonight is going to be the Fighters and the Hawks, the battle of the two first place clubs in the Pacific League. And hopefully you can stick around with us for all the action. Well, other games that are going to go on around the NPB tonight. There’s only one other game that will be starting in the next couple minutes, and that would be at the Vanthalin Dome. It’ll be the Chinichi Dragons playing host to the Hiroshima Karp. Later on in the Central League, it’ll be the Giants at Yokohama. The Swallows are playing at the Osaka Dome against the Hanchin Tigers. Games in the Pacific League will be the Buffaloos at the Zozo Marine Stadium to play the Marines and the Eagles will play the Lions at the Balloon Dome. Again, those games will go off at 6:00 local time. Well, Ari has completed his tuneup tosses and we’re ready to get this one underway as it is coming to bat here for the fighters to get things going. It’ll be Ryota Esabata, Shinmizatani, and Framm Reyes to face the right-hander. Sabata stepping in, hitting 274 with a homer and 17 RBI’s. The fighters are wearing their road blues with the gray pants. It is the all-white traditional uniforms for the Hawks tonight. The first pitch of the ball game is swung on and lifted foul into the seats on the third base side and we are underway at 20 local time. So no balls, one strike to Sabvada. Hari Hire gets himself a new baseball and he’s ready to go back at it here as the right-hander works himself set. He kicks and he delivers. There’s a fast ball that catches the inside corner for called strike and the count now goes to 0 and2 on Sabata. A 26-year-old getting the start again in center field is becoming a regular fixture for the fighters. He’s still looking for his 20th stolen base of the year. There’s a fast ball swung swung on. It’s grounded softly up the middle. Fielded on the run by the shortstop Kawas who fires to first and that is going to retire Isabata on a ground out 6-3. So, one up and one away and that’ll bring up the left fielder and Shinmeatani. Our friend Tim in the house. He says, “Hope we’re doing good.” Yeah, we are. It’s great to have you along with us. More Japanese baseball. Last night, the Pacific League had the night off and it was only Central League and they will be playing three consecutive days getting the rare Monday game in Japan. So, this brings Mizani to the plate. He’s hitting 277, 10 homers and 24 runs driven in. Takes a first pitch breaking ball inside for ball one. Count is 1 and0. Defensively tonight for the Hawks from left to right field it’ll be Yanagamachi in left, Shudo in center and Condo in right as there’s a fast ball swung on it is chopped over to second. Fielded neatly by the second baseman Makihara who throws to first and Mizatanis in the books on the ground out 4-3. So two up and two away here in the first inning and that’s going to leave it up to the DH Fran Reyes. Around the horn defensively for the Hawks, it is Nakamura at first, Makihara at second. The shorts stop tonight, Kawasi with the third baseman being Jeter Downs. The battery of Aryara and Umino. This brings Reyes to the plate who’s hitting .287. He’s got 21 homers and 65 runs driven in. Big fella moving back up into the three slot after being demoted to the six spot the other night. Batting from the right side here against the right-hander Arihara who works himself to the belt. Here comes the first offering. It’s on its way. It is a fast ball that catches the outside corner for called strike and count on one. In case Fran Reyes hasn’t got the book on himself, you might want to start reading it. Everything that the Lions threw him the other night was away and it starts that way here tonight with Aihara. There is a breaking ball that comes inside and Areas tries to check his swing and he fouls it away. The count is no balls and two strikes. Looked like the pitch kind of got away from the left-hander. Reyes unable to pull back. So, no balls and two strikes. Ariel Martinez in the lineup waits his turn on deck. So, some changes in the fighters lineup for this series against the Hawks. Here’s the pitch. Fast ball just misses off the outside corner. That pitch there poured in at 94 miles an hour from the right-hander Arihara. So, one ball and two strikes to Reyes. Derek Sharbano with us tonight says he’s taking the over three and a half runs for the Hawks tonight. Well, I’m not so sure about that. I think that might be a good pitching matchup we’re about to see. There is a split finger pitch swung on and missed. Reyes is gone to the books. He’s out for the third out of the inning. And that is going to do it here for the Fighters in their half of the first. They go quietly and they go in order. No runs, no hits, no errors. And nobody left the board. Your score after a half inning. It’s the Fighters no score and the Hawks coming to bat. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be back in just a few and we’ll break it down. There’s a few people that are staking their claim, letting us know how they’re making their picks tonight. We’ll be back to share those with you when we return in just a bit. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Welcome back everyone. Takiukiado completing his tuneup tosses and we’re ready to begin the bottom of the first inning. It’ll be Yukio Tatsur Yanagamachi and Kensky Condo to come to bat here for Shudo hitting 302 on the season. He takes a first pitch breaking ball at 60 mph for a called strike and the count is 0 and one. It’s a way to start the ball game. Shudo hit with three homers and 32 RBI’s, but he does have 29 stolen bases. as he swings at the fast ball and hits it up the middle past the diving Mazuno into center field and Shudo is aboard here to start the bottom of the first inning with a leadoff single and that is going to bring up the left fielder in Tetssuru Yanagabachi. Friend Derek jumped in. He said he took the over three and a half runs for the Hawks tonight. It’s a good start right there for you. Problem is is both of these pitchers are both pretty steady in their craft. Of course, Aihara a little bit older and a little bit longer in the tooth. Takiuki Kado does a really good job of keeping hitters off balance, throwing from the left side. And they don’t give up a lot of runs and they don’t give up a lot of base runners to allow them to score those runs. So, I would say that that could be a question in tonight’s ball game whether three and a half could be exceeded. There’s a fast ball delivered to Yanagamachi taken for a called strike and the count is 0 and one. Preston Gray in the house says he’s got he’s got some coin on 1500. Preston Gray says let’s go Fukuoka as they throw over to first base. And getting back in time is the runner Shudo Bryce says take advantage of this 20-year-old Hawks pitcher. Well, he’s definitely not 20 years old. as Koharihara maybe have is getting close to multiples of 20 as the pitch is on the way. There goes the runner down to second. The throw is it in time and it’s going to nail Shudo. Oh, a great throw there by UA as that is going to be caught stealing. It’s going to go in the books two to six to retire Shudo. He’s gone for the first out of the inning. He literally had both feet on the turf. He had a big jump and it was a great throw by Tama on the right field side of second base that allowed the shorts stop Mazuno to apply the tag and he has gone for out number one. And here comes the offering to Yanagamachi a breaking ball that misses down and away. And that count now is one ball and well we don’t know what the first pitch was because they never showed it since I’ve got one ball here. And here comes the pitch. It is a fast ball swung on and fouled away. And the count is one ball and two strikes. Bryson says the fighter pitcher is 20. Not tonight. This pitcher is certainly not 20 years old. The lefty cat, for your information, was born in 1992, June 3rd. So he would be 33. Here comes the one-two pitch. Fast ball swung on and lifted foul down the left field line. and the count remains at 1-2. Cattle made his debut way back in 2016 when he also was of a north of 500 pitcher. He was 7 and3 for the fighters at that time. Here’s the one-two pitch. Fast ball swung on, grounded softly over to second, fielded neatly by Ishi. He throws to first and Yanagamachi’s in the books on a ground out 4-3 for outnumber two. So two up and two away. Bryson says he’s a rookie. Uh, no. Bryson, you got to do your homework, big guy. Not tonight. Or either that or the beers are flowing pretty good. So, two gone here in the first inning. It’s going to bring Kensky Condo to the plate. Condo tonight hitting 338. Seven homers and 30 runs batted in. missed some time with some injury this year as both he and Yuki Anagita have been on the shelf for a bit. Two important pieces of the Hawks batting order over the last couple of seasons. So as he steps in here ready to go here comes the offering. It is a fast ball that’s taken for a called strike and the counter is 0 and one. Bryson says, “So they changed pitchers.” Not tonight. Arhara was slated for the Hawks and Kata was slated for the Fighters. That was in our little note earlier today. There’s a fast ball swung on. It is lifted up into left field. Mr. Tanny underneath it. He’s there to make the catch. And that is going to do it here in the first inning for the Hawks. An unconventional one, two, three inning. No runs in the inning. There was a hit. There was no errors and nobody left the board. We are through. When complete, your score is the Fighters nothing and the Hawks nothing. Stick around everybody. We’ll be back in just a few. We’ll answer Preston’s questions. We’ll hold it down with you here on the Last Raps Baseball YouTube channel when we come right back. [Music] [Music] We’ve We’ve got ourselves a nothing nothing ball game. We’re going to be back in 30 seconds with all the action right after this. Shall we begin? [Music] Let’s begin now. [Music] Let’s begin, girl. Welcome back everybody. It’s going to be the heart of the order to come to bat for the fighters. That means Ariel Martinez, Caz Ishi, andQataro Kiya, the four, five, and six hitters in the fighters lineup as Arihara ready to go to work here. The first pitch from the rightander is a fast ball swung on. This ball is lifted into deep right center field. This ball is going to get down and it’s going to get all the way into the wall. Fielding it off a one hop is Shudo. He fires it back in and Martinez is going to get himself a leadoff double here to start the second inning. And that’ll bring the second baseman Cass Isi to the plate. Our friend Preston says, “Is there a reason KBO games are so high scoring and the NPP is low scoring? Is it altitude or just bad pitching?” I think the latter is probably accurate. And I also would suggest too that there’s a greater imbalance of the teams in the Korean League. The top teams are very strong and the bottom teams are I would say a mixture or a collection of top level players and mid-level players and high school kind of players. It’s I look at the abilities of some of the players at the lower ends of the KBO and it’s just a array. There’s a first pitch fast ball that is taken for a ball outside. Isi squared to bunt wasn’t able to get it down. So, one ball and no strikes. It is. Alex Lot says, “Who do you think’s going to win this game?” That’s an important game here tonight. My edge would go before this game started. I would have my edge would have went to the Hawks playing at home. Kind of a flip of the coin with the two pitchers that are pitching. So, homefield advantage plays into something. So, I would give edge to Hawks in this one. Here comes the 10 pitch again. Squaring to Bonazishi. He gets it down up the first baseline. And they’re just going to let it roll foul. And that is going to run the count even now at one and one. My friend DJ Racer says, “Glad you found this. We have done the Yamuri Giants and Yokohama this year. We try to get a couple of games a weekend. Sometimes there’s more. This week happened to be a busy week because there were midweek games in Japan. So we were able to get on the call for games that would be the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Japanese games. Any of the early games we generally generally are all over and that would be the ones that start at 9 or 10 p.m. Pacific time. Anything later than that, it gets a little bit dicey. So, here comes the 1-1 pitch as Arihar delivers again scoring to Bonishi. He gets it down this time. Arihara is going to field it. He’s going to throw to first. That’s going to be a sacrifice. It’s going to go in the books 1 to4 on the put out, but it is going to advance Ariel Martinez over to third and that’ll bring up the third baseman and Kataro Kiya. Our goal this year was to get 150 games in, mostly Japanese games, but we’ve been sprinkling in MLB games as well from time to time. Uh we don’t have a I don’t want to say a say set schedule and I can’t follow a specific team because of my own schedule, but we enjoy doing this. This is I think what is it the fourth year that we’ve done this or the fifth year we’ve been calling games. It’s been a lot of fun being able to do it and having people along with us to listen in has been great as well. And we get all types. We get the gamblers, we get the baseball afficionados, we get the fan of the Japanese game. Everybody is welcome to come and listen. Just make sure that you keep your beverages in check. There’s a fast ball that misses up and away. And the count is 1 and0 to Kiamya. Kama batting 261 on the year, nine homers and 42 runs driven in. Batting from the left side here against the right-handed throwing Arihara as the right-hander works to the set now delivers. There’s a fast ball swung on and it’s line foul down the left field line and the count runs even to one and one. So, one ball and one strike. We’ll be off tomorrow night. We’re not going to be doing the games tomorrow. I’m going to be making my way to see the Everett Aqua Socks tomorrow night in the Northwest League and after the Aqua Socks on to Seattle to see the Mariners and Tampa Bay on Sunday. But we will be back on on Sunday night, North American time, because there’s a rare Monday game in Japan. Here’s the 1-1 pitch. There’s a breaking ball swung on. It is line foul that’s going to run the count to one and two. DJ said, “Not a gambler. Just used to live there and watching. had a chance to get to a few alive games out of at Suji City. At Suji City, is that not the where the farm team plays for the Giants? So, one Paul and two strikes it is as Ahar again works himself to the belt. He checks the runner over at third and here comes the one-two offering. It is a breaking ball swung on. It is line foul just over the umpire. Third base umpire had to duck to get out of the way and that’s going to keep the count at one and two. So ball and two strikes. I was saying our goal this year was do about 150 games. We are approaching the number quietly. I think we’re well past the halfway mark. I think we’re going to be about 75 games, possibly 80 by the time I leave for Taiwan. But we’re going to be dark for a couple of weeks because we will be in Taiwan. I’ll try to put some video up. Got to try to get to see three Chinese professional games. One in Tai Chong, one in Taipei City, and one in Kawung. So, looking forward to being able to catch some of that action. So, one ball and two strikes to Kamia here as the right-hander Arihara ready to go back at it. He only threw nine pitches in the first inning. Did Arihara as the right-hander again works himself to the belt. Here’s the pitch. Fast ball swung on. Chopped softly over to first. They’re going to come home with it. Here’s the throw and it gets away from the catcher. Amino all the way to the back stop. I’m not so sure about that decision. The first baseman Nakamura had fielded the ball. He was close enough to the base at first to stop on it to at least get the out. He came home with it and he spiked it into the dirt and Ariel Martinez is going to get the first run of the game here for the Fighters on an error by the first baseman. I’ll get a look at the replay, but it looked like that ball had taken him toward the bag and it did. And all he had to do was make a half step to get the out, but he didn’t get the out and he fired it all the way to the back stop. So not maybe not necessarily the best decision making on that one as Kamio goes all the way around to second base on the error by the first baseman Nakamura and that is going to bring up Chuse Manami to the plate for Manami he has struggled offensively this year he’s hitting 228 17 homers to go with 44 runs batted in as the right-hander Arihara looks And here comes the pitch. It’s a fast ball swung on and it’s lifted foul down the right field line. And the count is quickly 0 and one to Miami. As Bryson gives you the updated score as we mentioned before we the end of the each half inning. We will update the ticker and it is a production of one. We’ll have to let the rest of the staff know that got to get on top of this quickly. So with his 17 home runs finds himself second behind Fran Reyes in the home run category. Here’s the pitch. Fast ball that misses inside. The count is one and one. So, one ball and one strike is both of these teams here on the same club. Reyes has 21, Miami has 17. Then, Hotaki Yamakawa with 16 for the Hawks. Home runs are not on the rise right now in the Japanese League. In fact, they’re on the decline. There’s a fast ball ticket for a called strike count is one and two to Miami. Was doing a look at that earlier in the year and saying every year for the last eight years the home runs have been on a steady and quick decline. There was a investigation a few years ago where the commissioner got fired as they acknowledged they were using juiced balls in the NPBE. That’ll fluff up the offensive numbers for sure. Here’s the one-two pitch. Breaking ball swung on and missed and Manami went chasing it in the left-handed batters box. He’s gone on strikes for the second out of the inning. He’s going to leave it up to the catcher and you Tama. Well, for Tama, he’s getting the start behind the plate tonight. We were commenting the other night he was in left field. They use a they have a rich a riches of catchers do the fighters. They list Ariel Martinez although I haven’t seen Martinez. They used Yuya Gunji in the last series. They also used they also used Tory Fushimi as well as they had called up and used Yuki Umbiashi the other night. And now Tama gets a chance to get back behind the dish. Here’s the pitch. breaking ball misses outside and the count goes to 1 and0. But you look at the group, there’s at least five who can get behind the plate and catch at the NPB level. Then you look at the Hawks and they’re kind of starving right now with Tuya Kai moving on to the Amurray Giants. You really don’t have a offensive catcher so to speak in their lineup. There is a breaking ball that misses down and in. Count now goes to two and0 on Tama. Bryson is confident the Hawks are going to get that run back. I don’t know if the I think we’re seeing an ascent and a descent right in front of our eyes here. I thought last year I didn’t think the Fighters would make the playoffs. I think they’re a year ahead of the curve. Of course, last year they did get into the playoffs. Now they’re contending for the top spot. I thought that would have been another year away. Breaking ball misses down to me. It’s now 3-0. Got to tip your hat to the manager Shinjjo. He’s done a fantastic job in managing the fighters and working with the young players. Sioshi Shinjjo, the former New York Met amongst other MLB teams including the San Francisco Giants in a second tour with the Mets. As the three- pitch ready to come, it is a fast ball at center cut for a called strike. The count’s now three and one to Tama. So, three balls and one strike. Again, Arihara leaning in, looking at the side from his catcher as the right-hander works to the set pitch on the way. There’s a fast ball taken for a called strike and the count now runs full. Our friend Bryson is going to put his counts in the chat and he’s going to put the scores in the chat and that might get you into some hot water on the channel here. Bryson, just give you a heads up. There is about a 15 second delay between the game and the stream and then between our stream and the platform. We’re on another 7 seconds. So, it could be 22 seconds ahead. I think the people that are listening will probably want to listen rather than get your updates in the ticker. There’s a splitfinger pitch that misses down. It’s going to be ball four and that is going to be a walk to Tama and that is going to put him to first and it’ll bring up the shorts stop and Tatsuki Mazuno. So the fighters have runners at first and second here with two gone and Mizuno the nine-hole hitter coming to the plate and it’ll bring Umino out to the mound to have a word with the veteran right-hander. And now this conference is over and that’ll be broken up here as everybody’s going to be returning to their spots. One- nothing the fighters with the early lead here. The air from the first baseman Nakamura allowing that first run to come across. Hawks are going to have to get on the sticks here in inning number two. start finding a way to get at the veteran Kado. Certainly Kado will keep him in the game and then it’s the power arms of the bullpen of the fighters. They’ll try to seal the deal. I would expect that Kado should be able to get them six strong tonight. Here’s the pitch. Breaking ball just misses outside and the count is one and0 to Mizuno. Mazuno again getting the nod at short seemingly settling in as the everyday shorts stop now for the fighters. A couple years ago was Daigo Kamakawakabata who was getting a strong look at but he hasn’t been able to keep his place. There was a slow breaking ball swung on his grounded up the first baseline fielded by Arihara and he’s going to apply the tag to Mizuno. It’s going to go as a ground out to one for the third out of the inning. A nice athletic play by the pitcher to get off the mound. And that is going to do it here for the Fighters in their half of the inning. They had one run in the inning on the benefit of one hit. There was an error and there were two runners left the board. We’re moving to the bottom of the second inning. It is the Fighters one and the Hawks no score. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be back in just a few with the Last Drafts Baseball YouTube channel. It is Hawks and Fighters when we return. [Music] Baby, you give me ice and fire. You’re giving me window. [Music] This is Steve Rodmacher and I’d like to introduce you to my channel if you haven’t seen it before. These are all the things I enjoy. Sports, autographs, relics, non-sports hall of famers, pseudo sports, Star Wars. That’s my channel name and my name and I would really appreciate it if you would come check me out and maybe even subscribe if you like it. Thank you for that for now and back to your ball game. Welcome back everybody. It is going to be the four, five, and six hitters to come to bat here for the Hawks to start the second inning. It’ll be Yamakawa, Nakamura, and Downs to face the lefty Kado. For Yamakawa, he is batting 213, 16 homers, and 47 RBI’s. The first pitch is a fast ball under the hands that comes inside for ball one to Yamakawa. Yamakawa batting right-handed here against the lefty who kicks and delivers. There’s a breaking ball swung on. This ball is lifted into deep left center field. Moving back onto the warning track and looking up. And there it is. There’s your run right back as Kat has served up a solo shot. The 17th of the year by Yamakawa as he rounds the bases. And we are all locked up at ones. So the fighters had to grind their way to a run. And on the second pitch of the second inning, Yamakawa goes yard to get the score right back here for the Hawks. And it is now 1-1. Yeah, Macaua the big fella is a impactful bat for sure for the Hawks ball club. And you think about it over time in the Yamakawa. Those big numbers that he put forward with the Sina Cebu Lions had a big year last year with Fukoka. There’s a first pitch breaking ball that misses way outside to Nakamura and the count is 1 and0. Nakamura hitting 241 homer and 22 runs batted in as the left-hander ready to delivery kicks and fires. There is a breaking ball waved that in miss and the count goes even to one and one on Nakamura. Defensively tonight for the Hawk ball club from left to right field or for the Fighter ball club from left to right field. We never got to it in the first inning as that fast ball is hook foul down the right field line and the count goes to one and two. It is Mizatani in left to center fielders Isobat and in right field it’s Manami. Around the horn it is Martinez at first, Ishi at second. The short stops Mazuno with Kiamia at third. As that breaking ball is swung on is lifted into straightaway center field. Backing up on it isobata and he’s there to make the catch. And there is now one gone here in the second inning. The battery of course for the fighters is Kado and Tama. Well, that brings Jeter Downs to the plate. Downs batting .250 on the year, three homers and 16 RBI’s. Downs, if you are not familiar, he was one of the centerpieces or maybe one of the pieces of the deal for bats back in the day. And so here we go as the left-hander cat kicks and delivers. It is a fast ball that misses inside for ball and the count is one and0 to downs. Left-hander against the right-hander as Kado kicks and delivers. There is a fast ball taken for a called strike. The count is one and one. So one ball and one strike. Downs doesn’t lift the hands up particularly high. He keeps them right. Well, I shouldn’t say that. It looked like he was going to be in the area where he works it, but he works starts him up around his ear and then he brings it down. And as he swings at a pitch and fouls that one away, the count is one and two. I thought his first at bat he started a little bit lower. Some hitters, they really like to get their hands up high and work their way down through the ball. So, one ball and two strikes it is. I think of Barry Bonds back in the day, he used to keep his right around his chest level. There was a fast ball missing down and the count’s two and two, but he also had a bit of a hitch in his swing which was his timing mechanism and the 2-2 on the way. Here comes the pitch. Fast ball misses outside. It’s now three and two to Downs. Downs originally was born on the Bahamas. So, three balls and two strikes it is as the left-hander ready to go again kicks and does a double pump and fires. There is a fast ball swung on and grounded foul past the bag past the coach’s box at third base and the count is three and two. So, three balls and two strikes it is. Again, the left-hander kicks and he delivers. There’s a fast ball that misses down. It’s going to be ball four and Jeter Downs aboard with a one-out walk and that’ll bring up the shorts stop in Hkaro Kawas. Well, Gina Down certainly has given the Hawks more productivity than some of their other import players over the past few years. Getting a opportunity to play not necessarily every day, but Downs making an impact when given the opportunity. Say Jeter Downs on the season already 128 bats. He came over last year at the end of the year, appeared in seven games before getting into the playoffs with the Fukok Cabal Club as they throw over to first base and getting back easily is downs. So, Kawas here waiting as the lefty cattle works to the set. Here’s the pitch. Breaking ball that’s taken for a called strike and the count is 0 and one to Kas. The left-hander ready to go again, but now he digs himself back into the batters box. Taps both sides of the plate. Got a very interesting knob handle does Kawasi at the end of the bat. Very, very thick. Probably a good solid two plus inches. There’s a fast ball swung on. It is sliced into left field. It’s going to get down for a base hit in front of Mizatani. And that is going to put Hawks at first and second with one gone. And that’s going to bring up the catcher and Tekashi Amino. Well, for Amino, he’s hitting 208 on the year. No homers and nine runs batted in. Stepping to the plate here to face the left-hander for the first time. And they are going to have a meeting on the mound as Ariel Martinez has come in and the pitching coach has come out to talk to Kado. Little strategy session here more than likely only with one out. Pamino is a candidate to bunt. Even with one out in this situation, I’m sure they’re talking it over and making sure everybody’s on the same page. So Kas the runner at first, runner Downs is at second. One gone here in the second inning. Downs establishes his lead over at first base or sorry at second base. Over at first base it is Kawasi getting his lead, batting 28 on the year with no homers and nine RBI’s. Here comes the first pitch to the light hitting catcher of the Hawks. Pitch on the way. Fast ball swung on line over the second baseman’s head into right field. That’s going to get another run in. Banami comes up firing to third. The throw is offline. Sliding in safely will be Kawas. It’s going to be an RBI single off the bat of Yumo. And the Hawks have now taken a two to one lead here in the second inning. And so earlier tonight, we were talking about where the runs were going to come from. And if is it going to be over three and a half, we might have it here in this inning. So maybe we stand corrected on this over portion. I think it was our friend Derek who had pumped his fist for a plus three and a half. It could be over early. That’s going to put runners at the corners with one gone. And it’s going to bring Ty Makihara, the second baseman, to the plate, batting 302 on the year with a homer and 31 runs driven in. The left-hander cat ready to go. He needs a ground ball here if he can to try to get himself out of this inning. Instead, he throws over to first base and easily getting back to the bag is the runner Amino. The 32-year-old Makihara batting in the nine spot here tonight. Not normally what I would consider a nine-hole hitter, but being that he is facing the lefty, they drop him right down. There’s a breaking ball swung on. This ball is lifted into shallow left field and this ball is going to be caught by Mizatani. And then they throw to third. Oh my god, what a poor piece of base running there by Kawasi as he’s going to get doubled off the bag at third base. Double play to end the inning. It’s going to go in the books 7 to2. Makihara gone for the second out. Kawasi got too far off of third base. He gets doubled off and that is going to end the inning here. So they they kill the rally with some poor base running especially with the top part of the order coming up. Two runs in the inning on the benefit of three hits. There was no errors and there was one runner left the board. Your score as we move to the top of the third inning. It is the Hawks 2 and the Fighters one. We’ll be back in just a few right after this. Appreciate you for listening on the Last Drafts Baseball YouTube channel. We’ll be right back in just a few. [Music] [Music] Well, you’ve got to have an ace in the hole. A little secret that nobody knows. Life is a gamble, a game we all play. But you’ve got to save something for a rainy day. You’ve got to learn to play your cards right. If you expect to win in life, don’t put it all on the line for just one roll. You’ve got to have a n. [Applause] Welcome back everybody. It is the top of the third inning and it was a two-run response from the bats of the Hawks in their second inning. Home run by Yamakawa and a RBI single off the bat of Aamino have pushed the Hawks out in front here two to one. It’s going to bring the top of the order up. It’ll be Isobvada, Mizatani, and Reyes to face the right-hander Arihara who delivers a breaking ball that misses outside for ball one. Isabado 0 for one tonight. Grounded to short to start the ball game. Batting from the left side here against the right-hander, Arihara, who delivers a fast ball that just misses outside and the count now goes to 2 and 0. 29 pitches for the Fukuoka right-hander as Isabada waits on the offering here as Orihara holds to the belt. Here comes the pitch and it is a breaking ball that drops in for a call strike and the count now goes to two and one. So two balls and one strike as we pick at the out of town scoreboard. The Dragons have a one- nothing lead over the carp that’s in the bottom of the second inning. There’s a breaking ball swung on. It is grounded over to the right side, fielded neatly by the second baseman, Makihara. He throws to first and Isa retired on a ground out. Four to three for the first out of the inning. That is going to bring up the left fielder in Shin Mesatani. Well, for Mesatani. Oh, for one tonight. He is grounded to second his only time up. Batting from the right side here against the right-hander Arhara. A nice defensive play to end that last half by the fighters left fielder as that breaking ball misses up and the count is 1 and0. So one ball and no strikes. And tomorrow, as mentioned, we will take the night off and then we’ll be back at North American time on Sunday as there’s a breaking ball that misses inside. The count is 2 and 0. That would be 10:00 Pacific or 1:00 a.m. Eastern. If you were in the neighborhood, be sure to stop on by for more action. Here’s the 20 pitch. Fast ball swung on and pulled foul over on the third base side. And the count now is two and one. Two balls and one strike to Mizatani. Hari Har gets himself a new baseball ready to go back to work again as the right-hander now kicks and delivers. Breaking ball again swung on and again grounded foul over on the third base side. Count now runs even to two and two. Looking at last night’s games, there was all the games that were played last night were in the Central League. As we mentioned, the Pacific League had a rare Friday off. There was a pitches down in the dirt. Mizatan, he went around with it and Amino picks it up and tags him even though he throws to first base. The out was recorded. That’s going to be a strike out for the second out of the inning. Just going to leave it up to the DH and Fran Reyes. Last night’s ball games, as we said, the only games that were in town were the games between the Giants and the Bay Stars. The Giants erupted for 12 runs last night, pounding out 18 hits. Did it against Andre Jackson, who’s been pretty good for the Bay Stars this year. There’s a breaking ball swung on a miss by Reyes. Karp beat the Dragons and the Swallows beat the Tigers. It’s going to be interesting to see how that lead holds up. The Tigers had a healthy 10 plus game lead as there was a fast ball swung on and grounded foul past the bag at third base. This is the month they go on that long road trip. They call the Kiosera Dome their home games, but they’ve been punted out of the Kosin Stadium because it is the big high school tournament that takes over for the month of August. Swallows and the Tigers played last night. The Swallows beat the Tigers. And so this is where there’s going to be an opportunity for teams to gain ground against Hansen. There’s a breaking ball down. on the appeal to the first base umpire, but they said Reyos didn’t go around and the count is 1 and two. And currently the Tigers entering into tonight’s game have an 11game lead over the Giants with 41 games to play. Their magic number is at 31. It’s pretty early here in the season to have something like that. Here comes the one-two pitch. Breaking ball waved at and missed. And Reyes is in the books. He’s gone for the third out of the inning. And the Fighters go quietly here in inning number three. No runs, no hits, no errors, nobody left the board. We move to the bottom of the third inning. It is a 2-1 game for the Hawks. Stick around everybody. We’ll be back in just a couple moments after this. When we return, it’ll be the Hawks coming to bat. Top of the order, Shudo, Yanagabachi, and Condo right after this timeout. [Music] Yeah. [Music] Heat. [Music] Welcome back everybody. It is going to be Shudo, Yanagamachi, and Condo to come to bat here in the bottom half of inning number three as the Hawks are now enjoying a two to1 lead. In the second inning, it was the Yamakawa home run and the RBI single off the bat of Amino that have pushed them in front of the fighters at this point. And you have the veteran Arihara who will have to try to keep everything in check. There’s a first pitch fast ball ticket for a called strike. The count is 0 and1 to Shudo. Shudo went one for one tonight. Was erased trying to steal second back in the first inning. As the 01 on the way, it’s a fast ball swung on. This ball is lifted into shallow center field. Coming in hard is Sabatada and he’s there to make the catch. And that is going to retire Shudo for the first out of the inning. And that’ll bring up the left fielder in Tatsur Yanagamachi. Magic Mororrow says, “Who’s going to win?” Well, it’s a great question. If I knew who was going to win, I would also be able to figure out who was going to win some of the power balls down in the United States and collect my money. As the left-hander ready to deliver, there’s a fast ball taken at the knees for called strike. And the count is 0 and one. As I mentioned earlier tonight, I would give the edge in this one to the Hawks that they’re playing at home in the battle of these two teams. There’s a fast ball swung on. Grounded softly to second. Fielded neatly by Ishi. Throws to first. That’s going to be a ground out four to three for the second out of the inning. So, two quick outs here to start third. And that’s going to bring up the right fielder in Kensky Condo. Two veteran pitchers. And being that the game is in Fukaoka, my personal pick, as I mentioned, is the Hawks. And the reason for that is is that homefield advantage is the difference maker. Although I don’t think they’re going to get a sweep in the series here. Here’s the pitch. It’s a breaking ball that misses down. Count is 1 and0. I do think that the Fighters will pick up a victory at some point here. They have announced the starters for tomorrow’s ball game as the pitch is a fast ball swung on and lifted foul. Count is now one and one. And it’s going to be Levon Moelo going for the Hawks against Heromi. I wish I was around for that one. That would be a sensational pitching matchup. Ido in his last start. I didn’t think he was particularly good, but he was effective enough to get the win. There’s a breaking ball that misses up and away. And the count is two and one to Condo. And the Cuban left-hander Levon Moelo is enjoying a a really good year this year. He’s 9 and2 as the lefty kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball swung on. It’s pop foul over behind the third base dugout and the count’s two and two to Condo. And kind of ironic because Manel spent a long time in the bullpen for the Hawks and it was last year that he converted to a starter and he has not skipped a beat. He looks really, really good. Here’s the two- two pitch and it is a fast ball swung on his grounded to third. Oh, and it absolutely eats up the third baseman Qataro Kiama and it goes into left field. looked like the ball had a lot of English on it and he started to his right and the next thing you know the ball goes to his left and it goes right under his glove. I have to get a look at the replay on that one. And that’s looked like exactly what had happened. It was a pit on the ground. He started to his right. He had to throw on the brakes. He was able to make the play. That’s going to go in the books as E5. That’ll be the first error made tonight by the Fighters Ball Club. So that puts condo at first and it brings Hotake Yamakawa to the plate. Yamakawa homerred his last time up and he takes a first pitch fast ball for a called strike. The count is 0 and one. I think Yamakawa might have wanted that pitch back. That pitch was belt high and middle in. So here comes the 01 offering and it’s a fast ball swung and it’s crowded to third as well and again Kiamya plays basketball with it. He throws it offline. Martinez comes up the first baseline to catch it and apply the tag to the runner Yamakawa. But Kiama can’t get off the field fast enough. Ground out five to three to end the inning. And that is going to do it here for the Hawks. But a little bit of shoddy defense there by the Fighters third baseman. We’re a third of the way through the ball game here. No runs, no hits, one error, and one runner left aboard. We’re moving to the top of the fourth inning. Your score is the Hawks two and the Fighters one. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be back in just a little bit with all the action on the Last Ravs Baseball YouTube channel right after this timeout. [Music] in the ice head to tie dye. Wonder where this fairy came from. She’s from heaven. Heart says to the Amazon, hand steady hand. Holding fire in her hands, she starts to dance. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Welcome back everybody. gets the heart of the order in Ariel Martinez and then Caz is Qatar Kiama to come to bat on the first swing or first pitch. Martinez swings, hits a weak grounder over to second, fielded by Makihara. He throws to first and Martinez is in the books on the ground out four to three. So, one pitch and one away here to start the fourth inning. That is going to bring up the second baseman in Kazanori Isi. Well, Ishi does not technically have an at bat here today in this one. He has a sacrifice bunt that was effective back in inning number two. Batting 281 with a couple of homers and 20 runs batted in as the first pitch is a fast ball that catches the inside corner for a called strike. Count is 0 and1 to Ishi. Phil Cantalon says I still like the fighters chances. Yeah, they got him right where they want him. There is a change up taken for a call strike. The count now goes to 0 and2 on Ishi, as one might say. Although I have to say, I don’t think this game’s going to end two to one. There’s going to be some more scoring, one would have to think, as that breaking ball is lifted down the left field line, giving chase as Yan Gamachi, but it’s going to just slice into the seats. And a young man with a New York Yankees cap on. Good thing he brought his glove to the game because he hauled that one in. And he gets the round of applause from the those in attendance around him. So, no balls in two strikes. Again, the righthander Arihara kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball taken for a called third strike. Oh boy. Caught the inside corner there. And I stood there like the house by the side of the road. He watched it go by for the second out. And that’s going to leave it up to the third baseman and Kiamya. Well, for Kiama, he reached in an error his first time up and he created one of his own in the last half inning and then looked like he wanted to do more. He was very, very shaky at third base. Sometimes that’s what happens. The ball will find you. When you make one mistake, it’ll find you for more. Here comes the first pitch. That is a fast ball that just misses down. And the count is 1 and0. So, one ball and no strikes. Phil says if the score stays the way it is, he’s good. Yeah, he took I think it was at the one and a half. There’s a fast ball that misses down and the count is now 2 and 0. So, two balls and no strikes. Interesting. Always interesting crowds in our channel here. There’s a split finger pit swung on a miss. The count is two and one. early games in the week, larger crowds sometimes, but we don’t always get the Japanese games early in the week. Then later in the week, get the weekend crowd, different audiences. There’s a fast ball swung on and foul over on the first base side. The count’s now two and two to Kiama. Sometimes we get the gambling crowd. Sometimes we get the what I call the regular crowd, the crowd that just comes in for the baseball. At the end of the day, we enjoy the fact that we get all kinds of stuff. And then also the people who listen on delay. It’s amazing how much people come back and listen to the game on their own time. There’s a splitfinger pitch swung on a miss. Actually was tipped down. It just fell onto the glove of Amino. That was a splitfinger pitch. Good pitch there by Arihara. Fell off the table. So, two balls and two strikes. and Harih Har ready to go. Amino gives the signs as the right-hander ready to deliver and the pitch is on the way. There is a fast ball swung on and tap foul over on the first base side. Two balls and two strikes it is. Phil says the rowdy crowd. Yes, during the week Marvin Hernandez back in the house and he says a fighter is to win today. Well, you might have some friends with our buddy Phil Cantalon. He might be on signing with you there. I don’t know if the fighters can do it today. I think that they will get a win in this series and I might even say tomorrow night. And there is a breaking ball swung on his grounded softly over to second. They’re going to have to hurry. They throw to first and it’s not going to get in be in time. Kiama legs it out down the line for an infield single. Ball was chopped just past the pitcher. Makihara was playing deep on the right side. He really had to come in hard to get it and he had to throw as he was going away from first base. We got to look at the replay. They’re not going to challenge this and he had to go a long distance throw on the run and just not there enough to be able to get the runner as Kiama making up for some shoddy play. And that is going to bring up Patus Manami to the plate. Now, this is a player that you certainly don’t want with hitting with runners on base. He can do a lot of damage in a hurry. But Miami 0 for one tonight. Struck out. His only time up. As we mentioned, he’s now tied for second in the home run race in the Pacific League with Hot Yamakawa. Each have 17. And there is a fast ball swung on. This is lifted into straightaway center field. And Yukio is going to make the catch as he’s falling to the ground. And that is going to do it as Manami is going to be gone for the third out of the inning. And it’ll do it here for the Fighters in the fourth. Well, this game’s moving along with some pace. No runs, one hit, no errors, one left the board. We’re moving now to the bottom of the fourth inning. Your score is the Hawks to the Fighters one. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be back in just a couple of moments with all the action right after this timeout. [Music] [Music] We got a score line of two to one. We’ll be back in just a few. Hawks are ahead of the fighters. Back after this. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] is going to be Akira Nakamura. Jeter DS and Hikaro Kawasi to come to bat here in the fourth inning for the Fuko Cabal Club. We’re talking about the different types of folks in the stream. It is also certainly tonight as opposed to one of the other nights we sometimes get the late arriving Friday crowd. There’s a breaking ball that’s taken for a called strike. The count is 0 and one. I remember some of the nights when the UFC was going on and people would watch the UFC fights. I think that was usually Saturday nights and then they would come in late. Fast ball take it down and the count goes to one and one people watching UFC and all its glory as the one-1 is on the way. There’s a fast ball swung on. This is line down the right field line. It’s going to get into the corner and it’s going to be extra bases. Rounding first and heading into second with a standup double is going to be Nakamura. The throw comes in and is offline, but it is taken by Mazuno. And it is a leadoff double here for Nakamura to get things going in the fourth. And that is going to bring up the third baseman in Jeter Downs. Looked like it was at first I thought it was a breaking ball that hung, but it looked more like a cutter out of the hand of Cattle moving away from the left-handed stick Nakamura, but he stayed right on it. So that brings Downs to the plate. Downs walked and scored a run his last time up. I wouldn’t bat an eye that he would be in a sacrifice bunch situation here. Let’s see what the Hawks have in mind. 30 for 120 on the year, batting 250, but the three homers and 16 RBI’s and there’s no sign of a bunt. And he takes a fast ball for a called strike. The count is 0 and one. So no balls in one strike. It is. I also wonder sometimes too how YouTube does push out content. I mean, we had some pretty big numbers in a lot of cases in that game against the Hawks the other night or a game against the Fighters and the Lions the other night. That fast ball misses inside and the count goes to one and one for midweek Japanese baseball. Well, then we get back to the weekends and everything gets a little bit quiet again. Kind of strange. So, one ball and one strike as the left-hander works himself to the belt. Checks the runner at second. Here’s the pitch. Fast ball swung on. This ball’s hit into deep left field. This ball could be trouble. Going back onto the warning track and looking up and it’s gone. A home run for Jeter Downs. That’s going to be his fourth of the year. So, so much for the bunt in that situation. So, a leadoff double off the bat of Nakamura and a two-run shot here by Downs has given the Hawks a 4 to one lead. So, our friend Bryson, who’s been in the house here tonight, he’s probably going to pump a couple more fists as the Hawks offense is showing up big time. Jeter Downs not fooled by that. That ball left the bat at 103 miles an hour. So exited out faster than when it came in. Well, that brings Hit Carl Kasay to the plate who is one for one tonight. Takes a first pitch fast ball for strike. The count is 0 and1. It was his base running gaff that helped end the second inning. And here’s the pitch. should say breaking ball that catches the outside corner. The count now goes to 0 and2. So no balls and twos strikes. Our friend Mike Cool Hooks is testing out all the emojis that YouTube has to offer. There’s a breaking ball that misses down and the count goes to one and two. Alex Lot says Lot says Hawks money line. Let’s go. Here’s the one-two pitch on its way. Fast ball swung on. It is lifted down the left field line. Kiamia giving chase in foul territory and he makes a really nice over the shoulder catch. That is going to retire Kawasi for the first out of the inning. That’s going to bring up the catcher into Cashiamino as my cool hooks is pumping a fist on the emojis. Well, we’ve got ourselves a timeout here as the catcher has come out. But you know what I have to say? I think that’s going to be the end of the night here. It looks like or possibly the end of the night as are we going to have ourselves a pitching change here as Kat who’s been struggling here in his part of the inning so far. I wonder if he’s they’ve detected an injury. Well, his night’s going to be done. We’re going to get an early pitching change here as the fighter left-hander is coming off of the mound. They are going to the bullpen as Hkaido will be back in just a couple of minutes with this change of events here. I would have thought they would have taken him out after the home run. Maybe they saw something after the pitch to Kawas. We’ll be right back in just a few. It is a 4 to1 lead for the Hawks. He leaves at 48 pitches. So, very interesting timing of the pitching change. We’ll be right back after this from our good friend Steve Rotomacher. Check them out when you get a chance. Hey, where are you going? It’s a It’s a pitching change. Come on, sit back down. You don’t go out there. Don’t go get no food or anything. You’ve got a big decision. Are you going to throw in there Raleigh fingers? Maybe goose gas? How about maybe Mariana Rivera or Lee Smith, Dennis Sersley? Who knows? It’s a pitching change. Come on back. You know who I would pick for this? A nice tall cool one. There’s my pitcher. That’s my pitching change. That’s a winning combination. Come see my channel. You know, every day is opening day and according to Bob, I must be in the front row. Welcome back everybody. It is going to be Subasa Namatame who is coming on in relief as he has completed his tuneup tosses. Be the second pitcher used by the fighters tonight in this one as they have already chased the left-hander in Takiyuki Kado. So he is out of the ball game and the first pitch from Nabatami is a fast ball swung on and lifted foul count as 01 and one to Amino. Amino one for one tonight as he singled and drove in the second run of the ball game for the Hawks. Patting from the right side here as the righty kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball that’s taken for a called strike. The count now is 0 and2. Three in the third innings for Kadoi. Allowed four runs, all of which have been earned. Six hits to go along with it. Just didn’t seem to have his best stuff tonight. There’s a breaking ball missing down and away. The count is one and two. He also issued a one walk and by our counts, he did not strike out a hitter tonight. Here comes the one-two pitch. Navatami ready to deliver. Kicks and fires. Fast ball swung on and fouled off the catcher back towards the back stop and the count is 1 and two for the reliever Nabbitami. He is making his 16th appearance of the year. He’s worked 14 and two/3 innings. He’s allowed only six hits as there’s a fast ball swung on. Make that seven as that ball’s lined to first base. Manami comes up firing. Oh my goodness, what a play by Chu Manami as he’s going to throw out Amino, the slow-footed catcher from right field. Oh boy, even the Hawks players are kind of chuckling a little bit on the bench. They know he’s slow. They didn’t know he was that slow, but Manami came up and threw a bullet to first base. That is going to retire him on the good old I guess we’re going to call it a ground out nine to two. What a play by Manami. And not only did he get him, he got him by a full step. Oh, look at that. In another couple of weeks, I’ll say, “How did that happen?” So, that’s two in the books. That’s going to bring up the second baseman enticey Makiara. And the first pitch to Makiara is a fast ball that swung on and missed. And the count is quickly 0 and one. That was just the arm of Manami. We’ve seen Manami do that a couple of times as the pitch on the way as a fast ball swung on. This ball is lifted in deep right field. moving back onto the warning track and he gets turned around and that one wasn’t made easy. But Miami is going to haul that one in for the third out of the inning. And that will do it here in the fourth as the Hawks had a pair more on the board. A two-run homer off the bat of Jeter Downs. Two runs, two hits, no errors, nobody left the board. Your score as we move to the top of the fifth inning. It is a 4-1 Hawks lead. Hang tight everybody. We’ll be back in just a few right after this timeout. Hello, this is Eric Fox, formerly of the Oakland A’s and Texas Rangers baseball teams. You want to learn about Japanese baseball, see Coach Fred, Last Wraps Baseball. You want to baseball instruction, see Coach Fred. You want to learn about golf, do not go to Coach Fred. Fred, what kind of club is this? At last grabs baseball. We know baseball. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Welcome back everybody. It’s going to be Yua Tama Tatsuki Mozuno on the top of the order. Riyota Isabatada to come to face Co Ahara here in inning number five. A two-run homer off the bat. Gina DS has doubled up the scoring for the Hawks to give them four runs. Four six and one for the Hawks. One, two, and one for the Fighters here in the top of the fifth inning. As I said, a very interesting pitching change there made by Shinjjo as the first pitch is a fast ball swung on and missed and the count is 0 and1 to Tama. Tama drew a walk his first time up batting 243 on the year with that four homers and 11 RBI’s as the right-hander Aihara kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball that misses down and in the count goes to one and one. Interesting. The game feels like it’s got really good pace to it tonight, but as far as the timing of the game now goes, it’s pretty much right on schedule. Our friend Marvin’s crying for his money. Like Marvin was pulling for the fighters in this one as there was a change up to Mrs. Down. It’s now two and one to Tama as is our friend Phil Cantalon. Well, maybe the changing of the pitcher might do something. Okay, Kat just didn’t seem to have it tonight. Here’s the 2-1 fast ball. Take it for a called strike. And the count runs even to two and two. So, two balls and two strikes. It is Arihara working himself to the set position. Here comes the 2-2 as he kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball swung on and lifted foul down the left field line. Count remains two and two. As we mentioned, tomorrow will be off the airwaves, but Sunday night in North America for the Monday game in Japan, we will be back on it again as that pitch misses down. It’s now run the count full to three and two. So, three balls and two strikes. All the games in Major League Baseball are finals. And it’s a I say a shock to me, but I’m still amazed that the Milwaukee Brewers are still the best team in baseball. 71 wins. The only team right now at 70 wins in the major leagues. Here comes the 3-2 pitch as Arhara delivers. Fast ball swung on and lied foul into that temporary seating over on the left field line. And the count remains at three and two. Umia Toronto Blue Jays are the top team in the American League followed closely by the Tigers who find themselves a game behind the Jays. Tigers had a comeback victory tonight against as the pitch on the way is a fast ball take for a called third strike off. Tama was caught window shopping. He’s gone for the first out of the inning and that is going to bring up the short stop in Tatsuki Mazuno. I was saying earlier that the Tigers had to come from behind tonight to get their victory as they had scored three runs to defeat the Angels six to five. Then it was Tariq Scubal who had to leave. Well, he left the game. Didn’t even get through the fifth inning. There was the first pitch to Mizuno. It’s a fast ball swung on. This ball is lifted softly into right field. Coming in on it with room to make the catch is Kensky Condo and that’s going to retire Mizuno for the second out of the inning. That’ll leave it up to the top of the order in Rio Isabatada. Japanese players around the MLB Tomyuki Sagano picked up his ninth win against five losses today as the Orioles beat the Athletics 3-2. The one-time ace of the Giants went seven strong innings, striking out four, walking two, only allowed one earned run today. As the right left-handed hitting Ebata, stands in. Here’s the pitch. Fast ball ticket for a called strike. The count is 0 and one. So, no balls and one strike as the right-hander again holds to the set. Kicks and delivers. There’s a breaking ball swung on and lifted foul into the seats over beyond the third base dugout. No balls in two strikes to East Silva. So, Arihara gets himself baseball ready to go back to work again. Asataki Yoshida who’s with the Red Sox was two for four with three RBI’s tonight including his second home run of the year. Fast ball misses inside and the count goes to one and two on Isobata. He has been he was late to the party Oshida and he didn’t get off to a great start but he is now starting to swing the bat. The former Orex Buffalo. Here comes the one-two pitch as the right-hander kicks and there’s a ball that spiked up to the plate. The count goes to two and two. And well, certainly if Yoshida can give the Red Sox a spark with his bat, it would be like a late season acquisition that was never made. The offseason shoulder surgery and it slowed down his throwing program, his return and everything else. But Yosha now starting to get some more regular playing time for the Red Sox. So here comes the two- two pitch as the right-hander kicks and delivers. There’s a breaking ball waved out and missed and Isa is in the books for the third out of the inning and another strikeout recorded by Arihara tonight. And by our counts, if we’re keeping the math correctly, that is going to be seven strikeouts in the book for or Arihara. No runs in the inning, no hits, no errors, nobody left the board. They go in order as we move to the bottom half of the fifth inning. Half of the game is in the books. It is a 4-1 Hawks lead. We’ll be back in just a couple moments after this. Appreciate you for being here. Our good friend, God is great, is in the house and it is 3:20 now in Japan. We’ll be right back after this. [Music] Heat. Hey. Hey. Hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] Welcome back everybody. Yukio will step in to lead it off. It’s the top of the order. Shuto Yanagamachi and Condo to come to bat here to face the reliever Navatami who delivers a first pitch fast ball for a called strike. The count is 0 and one. Shudo tonight is one for two. He’s got a single in two trips. He was also gunned down stealing as there was a fast ball swung on. It is going to be sliced into the seats down the left field line and a fan with a glove jumps up and makes a beautiful catch. Give that man a contract as it is no balls and two strikes to Shudo. They’re literally jumping out of his seat to make the grab. So here comes the O2 offering. right now. Batami delivers a fast ball upstairs that is taken for a ball and the count is one and two. You got to love that. Fans show up to the game, bring their gloves and you make a catch. Here’s the one-two pitch on its way. Fast ball swung on and missed and shudo’s in the books. He’s gone for the first out of the inning. So, one up and one away and that’ll be bring up Tatsuran Gamachi to the plate. That is the first strikeout tonight recorded by Fighters Pitchers. That’s Nabatami doing the job coming in of relief of Kado. Well, that brings Yanagamachi to the plate. He’s 0 for two. He is grounded out both times to second. Season average is dropped to 291 as the pitch on the way is a breaking ball that’s taken for a called strike. And the count is on one to Yanagamachi. I have to say the home plate umpire has been calling a relatively higher zone tonight as that fast ball misses upstairs and the count goes to one and one giving both teams pitches at the letters as the 1-1 pitch ready to come here on its way. Fast ball swung on lifted into shallow center field coming hard as I saw but he’s not going to be able to get there. That’s going to drop in. It’s going to be a two out or sorry a one out single here by Yanekamachi. That’ll bring up the right fielder in Kensky Condo. Talking about this the other night, I was Major League Baseball. I heard one of the announcers commenting and saying that double plays are down in the big leagues. One would have to think so if guys are trying to always hit home runs and elevate the ball. That would probably be the case that you wouldn’t see as many of those as you would potentially see. So, Condo stepping to the plate. He’s officially 0 for two tonight. He reached on an error his last time up and he flew up to left field. Bottom of the fifth inning, Hawks with the four to one lead. also say this that three and a half that the fighters are going to have to cover might be in jeopardy. There’s a breaking ball that is taken for a strike. The counter is 0 and one. Better get their bats going. Although I have to say the way Arhara has pitched tonight. We may see him go a strong six or seven innings again. The right-hander now Tammy ready to deliver. He kicks and fires. It’s a breaking ball. The misses down and away. And the count goes to one and one. So, one ball and one strike again. The right-hander holding to the set. Here comes the 1-1 pitch. Fires. It’s a fast ball that just misses inside. Count now goes to two and one. Arihara, just looking at his pitch count, he’s at 70 pitches through five. He could easily get come out for a couple of more innings now. But Tammy, I wonder how long they’ll bridge the gap with him. If we will see him for the sixth or if big boss will go to the pen again. There’s a fast ball that misses upstairs. It’s now 3-1. One would have to think they want to try to get through this inning with Nabatami. It’s not going to get any easier. You’ve got the big fella, Hot Yamakawa, awaiting his turn on deck. Hawks leading 4-1. Runner is at first, one gone here in the bottom half of the fifth inning. Condo at the plate. And here comes the 3-1 pitch. Kicks and delivers. Fast ball just misses low. It’s going to be ball four. And that is going to bring Yamakawa to the plate with two aboard and one out. Well, for Yamakawa, he is one for two tonight. He hit his 17th homer of the year back in the second inning. He has also grounded to third. Kensky Condo gets the popular oven mitt and as he’s going to take his lead over at first base, the runner at second is Yanagamachi and Yamakawa waiting on the first offering from Nabatami. Here comes the first pitch. Fast ball swung on grounded right off the pitcher. He’s going to pick it up and field it and his only play is going to be to first base. That’s going to go as a ground out, one to three. Out at first is Yamakawa. Advancing to third is Yanagamachi. And over to second is Condo. And just as fast as he gets over to make the play, the trainer is on a beline to the mound. The pitching coach wanting to come and check on him. Wanted to see if he’s all right. We’ll get a look at the replay. It looked like it caught him. It actually looked like it deflected off the glove and then came up and hit him in the leg as the ball trickled away. It was probably potential more damage for him fielding the ball. We got to look at a different angle on the replay. Didn’t get the glove. It looked like it played pinball off his feet. Hit his right foot first and then over to his left leg. He says he’s all right. So, two gone here in the inning, runners at second and third. And it brings the first baseman Akira Nakamura to the plate. Nakamura not having the season I’m sure that he would like, although he did have a double and scored a run his last time up. One for two in this one. Batting from the left side is Nakamura. He does hold the bat rather high. Here comes the pitch. There’s a splitfinger pitch and misses down and the count is 1 and0. Nakamura on the season. Has a homer and 22 runs batted in. Gets the opportunity here against the right-hander. And so I’m probably sure that he was probably excited to see Condo leave the game, take his chances with the righties. There’s a fast ball swung on is popped up behind home plate giving chases to Mia and he’s going to run out of real estate and that is going to run the count to one and one. Our friend Mike Cool Hook still holding down those emojis. So, one ball and one strike to Necamra as he gets himself back in the batters box. Just a reminder after this half inning, it is a what we like to call the Japanese halftime. That is where they take a fiveminute break. In Japan, they like to refer it as the smoke break. Fast ball hammered foul into the temporary seating down the right field line. Count goes to one and two. And that’s going to mean that Nakamura is going to have to get himself a new bat. He had just got ahead of that one just a little bit. The bat had fractured in his hand. So, one ball and two strikes to Nakamura as he comes back to the plate here to face the right-hander Navatami. Runner at third, Yanagamachi. Runner at second, Condo. Two gone here in the bottom of the fifth inning. Left-handed stick taps both sides of the plate and ready here to get the offering from Nabatami as Nabatami works to the set. Here comes the one-two pitch on the way. Fast ball swung on it. Another one grounded foul just past the bag at first base. And the count holds at one and two. So, one ball and two strikes. It is. Crowd is in good spirit tonight. Why wouldn’t be? They They got a They got themselves a healthy 4 to1 lead. Thunder Sticks are out, noise makers are out. Hawks fans in a good mood. And here comes the one-two offering as again Mcamer waits. A Tammy works to the set. Here comes the pitch and it’s on its way. It is a breaking ball swung on and grounded foul past the bag at first base. Count remains at one and two. Just taking a peek at that out of town scoreboard. Still one- nothing for the Dragons over the Carpon. That one that’s also at the bottom of the fifth inning. As we mentioned, all the other games are later starts tonight. Off at 6:00 local time in Japan. Here’s the one two. There’s a fast ball that misses down. They appeal to the third base umpire, but they said Nakamura didn’t offer. Two balls and two strikes. Awaiting his turn on deck is Jeter Downs. One would have to think Nabatami is going to try to get himself out of this jam here. So, two balls and two strikes. Fighters with that loss the other night on the getaway game as there’s a fast ball swung on and missed. We’ll come back with that thought in just a couple of moments. But that is going to do it here as Nakamura is down on strengths for the third out of the inning. There was no runs, one hit, no errors, and two runners left the board here in the fifth inning. Your score as we are now through five complete. Four to one for the Hawks. We’ll be back in just a few. Remember everybody, this is what we like to call the Japanese halftime as they do take a break here in between innings. And we are ourselves as we’re going to go refresh our beverage and make sure that we’re all stretched out, ready to go for the back half of this one. We’ll be back in just a few. Four to one as we move to the sixth. [Music] 6 5 [Music] Sorry. Sorry. Hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Sh. [Music] [Applause] The score line is 4 to1 for the Hawks. We’ll be back in just a few as it is Hawks and Fighters on the Last Drafts Baseball YouTube channel when we return right after this timeout. [Music] Welcome back everybody. We are ready to resume the action as it’ll be Mizatani Reyes and Martinez to come to bat against Arihara and the first pitch breaking ball misses down for ball one. Mizatani 0 for two tonight. He is grounded to second and struck out in his two trips to the plate. Swings in a fast ball and grounds it over to short. Fielded neatly by Kawas who throws to first. Mizany’s in the books on a ground out. 6-3 for the first out of the inning. One up and one away and that’ll bring up the designated hitter in Fran Reyes. As we mentioned, 70 pitches through the first five innings for the right-hander Arihara. I would think that he should be good to go for at least a couple of more here before they have to turn it over to the back end of the bullpen. Roberto Osuna sighting. Will we have that tonight? I guess we’ll have to wait and see here if you’re a Hawks fan. There’s a fast ball swung on. It is grounded over to short. Almost an instant replay of the last play and they throw to first and Reyes is going to be retired on a ground out 6-3. So two up and two away here quickly in the sixth. That’s going to bring up the first baseman and Ariel Martinez. Well, with that bats like that, don’t have to worry about fighters coming back if you’re a Hawk fan. Two pretty quick outs as Reyes saunters back to the dugout. Brings up Ariel Martinez. He’s got one of the two fighters hits in this game and the other one belongs to Qataro Kiama. There was a fast ball taken to the knees for a call strike at the count and one. He is one for two tonight and he has scored the only fighters run. had a double in the second inning and was brought home on the error by the first baseman of the Hawks as there is a fast ball that he’s taken for a call strike and the count’s now at 0 and2. So no balls and two strikes. Our friend Jaylen says of course he’s hoping that the fighters pull it off, but then hope is not a strategy. Fast ball swung out. ball is lifted into deep right field and this ball’s going to get off the wall in right center field. Shudo goes in after it. He’s going to fire it in and it’s going to be the second double of the night for Ariel Martinez as he has come off the bench. He’s been swinging with a vengeance off the bench. We didn’t even see a sniff of him in the series against the Lions. So other than a pinch hit roll, two for three now tonight. And that’ll bring up the second baseman in Kazanori is looking at the stats on Martinez. He had entered the ball game hitting only well hitting a feeble 200. He really hasn’t had a chance to play a whole ton this year. He’s only had 50 at bats. This brings Ishi to the plate and the first pitch on the way is a breaking ball that misses outside and the count is 1 and0. So it kind of makes me wonder what they’re going to do with Martinez, the 29year-old from Cuba. Is he in the future plans of the fighters for the 2026 campaign? Here comes the 10 pitch. There’s a split finger pitch swung on and missed. Count goes to one and one on Ishi. Ishi tonight is officially 0 for one. He had a sack bunt back in the second inning. Back to Martinez. He started the first three years of his career with the Chinichi Dragons and then he made his way over to the Fighters. Last couple of years he had over 400 plate appearances. There’s a change up swung on and missed and the count now goes to one and two on Ishi. But it does make me wonder if he is in their future plans at all. So one ball and two strikes. I would think co I would think that Fran Reyes will be. He’s had an outstanding year again this year. Very productive for the fighters. Here comes the one-two pitch. as the right-hander holds set, checks the runner, now delivers. Fast ball misses down and the count goes to two and two. So, two balls and two strikes. Top of the six, 4-1 Hawks enjoying the lead. Two gone here and runner at second base in that after that double by Ariel Martinez. Two balls and two strikes to Kazanorishi as he waits on the offering from the right-hander as he works himself to the belt. Here comes the pitch. It’s on its way. It’s a breaking ball that misses outside and the count now goes to three and two. Once this game is over, we will give you the full roundup as well as the rundown on this game. So stay with us for that. This game though has kind of got itself into a bit of a lull and that’s probably right where the Hawks want it. Here’s the 3-2 pitch. It’s a change up that misses down. It’s going to be ball four. And I’s going to get himself a walk. And so now they got something brewing here with two out. Everything has come with two out here. They had the double off the bat of Martinez. the walk to Ishi and now it’sQataro Kiama coming to the plate. Then Kiamya, well he’s been aboard twice tonight. He has reached on an error by the first baseman and he has singled in his two trips. So officially one for two in the box score after two quick outs. The fighters now find themselves threatening to score. Runners at first and second and two gone here for Kamia as he bats from the left side. He did homer in that series against the Lions. He’s raised his average to 262. He’s got nine homers on the year. Here’s the pitch. It’s a fast ball that misses way outside. The count is 1 and0. One Paul and no strikes. I guess if there’s a chance for the fighters to to do something, this might be their fighting chance right here. Got to find a way to claw a run back. Here comes the 10 pitch on its way. Fast ball down. Count goes to 2 and 0. So, two balls and no strikes to Kamia. Not an empty seat in the house tonight for these two ball clubs. Hottest ticket in town in Fukuoka. Certainly both of these clubs battling it out for the top spot. And here comes the two- pitch to Kimia as the right-hander ready to go again. Kicks and fires. There’s a fast ball swung on. This ball is lifted into shallow left field coming in on it with plenty of splices. Yanagamachi. He’s there to make the catch. And that is going to retire Kiama for the third out of the inning. Well, they got everything going with two out, but they weren’t able to cash the runs in. There was no runs. There was a hit. There was no errors and two left the board. We are now moving to the bottom of the sixth inning. Your score is the Hawks four and the Fighters one. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be back with the call at the bottom of the sixth inning when we return right after this on the Last Drafts Baseball YouTube channel. Stay with us. [Music] Gossip. No matter which one it is, make sure that you make it great, my friends. Big up Last Wraps Baseball. Yeah, Freddy. Let’s go. One love and peace. Yeah, man. Welcome back everybody. It is a pitching change for the Fighters. are going to the bullpen and bringing in the right-hander Yukia Sido as he will take over here on in relief. He’ll be the third pitcher used by Hkaido here in this one as he is just completing his tuneup tosses and we are ready to resume the action for Sido. He will be trusted to face Jeter Downs, Hikaro Kawasi, and Tekashi Amino as he is ready to go back to work for the fighters. Just the numbers on site. Oh, he’s making his 29th appearance of the year. He has worked in 30 innings. He’s allowed 20 hits. He’s walked 10 and struck out 26. All to an erra of 1.50. So down steps in who’s raised his average to 256. takes a fast ball at 96 mph inside and the count is 1 and0. Downs has scored half of the Hawks runs tonight. He homered and knocked in a pair and he walked and scored a run his first time up as he grounds that one foul over on the third base side and the count goes to one and one. So, one ball and one strike. Bottom of the sixth inning, Hawks enjoying a four to one lead. The scoring had come in bunches for the Fukoka ball club. They got two in the second and two in the fourth. As the pitch is on the way, it’s a fast ball missing down and away. The count now goes to two and one. And it has been the middle part of the order that has done the damage tonight for the Fukok Cabal Club as there’s a fast ball that comes up and in. And that backs Downs off the plate. It’s going to run the count to three and one. Yeah, Macawa has scored a run. Nakamura has scored a run and DS has scored two. Those were the four, five, and six hitters where all the damages come from. Here comes the 3-1 pitch as it’s on its way as a fast ball swung on and missed. Looked like that was of the splitfinger variety. Three and two to downs. Good piece of pitching there by Settto. You come up and in, back him off the plate, and then you kind of go down and away. Not only changing the eye level of the hitter, but certainly making him feel very uncomfortable. And here comes the 3-2 pitch as the right-hander delivers. There’s a fast ball swung on his ch foul over on the third base side. I was thinking of Freddy Galvvis who had come over for a couple years to the Hawks. He really never fit in. He they gave him a lot of money and certainly didn’t live up to his billing. Jeter Downs has given them probably more production than Galvvis ever gave them and he’s only been in the lineup for a short window. Here comes the 3-2 pitch as the right-hander holds set. Now he kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball swung on and missed and Downs is in the books for the first out of the inning. That’s the only the third strike out recorded by Fighters pitchers here in this one. That is going to bring up the shorts stop in Hikaro Kawas. Well, for Kawas, he is one for two tonight. He has a single in two trips. He has also popped out to the third baseman. The pitch on the way is a fast ball that backs him off the plate for ball one. Count is 1 and0. batting 270 on the season. Left-handed hitting shorts stop as the pitch is on the way. It’s a fast ball swung on a grounded foul over on the first base side. And the count goes even at one and one. So, one ball and one strike again. The right-hander gets a new baseball ready to go back at it. Seo getting a sign from his catcher Tama. He works himself to the set position. Here comes the pitch. It’s a fast ball swung on the line right back off the pitcher and Seido picks it up. He underhand flips it to first. It’s all smiles all the way around. He’s telling everybody that it’s all good. We’ll get to look at the replay on that. I guess if you’re going to get hit, you want it to be off the bat of Kowas. and he was just able to get the glove in the way and then it deflected up off his hand as it’s going to go as the ground out one to three in the books for the second out of the inning. That is going to bring up the catcher and Tekashi Amino. So for Amino tonight, he is one for two. He has singled and driven in a run and he got thrown out his last time up by the right fielder on a hard hit ball to Chuse Manami. Banami came up firing and gunned him down at first base. That first pitch misses down and the count is 1 and0. There was a fast ball swung on him as the count runs even to one and one. So, how do you feel about that? Great piece of hitting as he had drove the ball the opposite way only to be hosed at first base by the right fielder, flashing his arm. Here’s the pitch. Fast ball misses down and the count goes to two and one. I’m sure he’s going to get a roasting about that from his teammates. He seemed to be amused by it when it had actually happened. And the 2-1 on the way. It is a split finger pitch. Swung on a missed amino screws himself into the ground as he swung and missed at that one. It’s now two and two. So, two balls and two strikes. Arihara is going to be coming back in for the seventh inning as he’s up and throwing in front of the Fukahoka dugout. And there’s a fast ball swung on and missed. And Amino is in the books. And it’s a three up, three down inning here for the fighter pitcher Seido who does his job. No runs, no hits, no errors, nobody left the board. We are now through six complete innings. Your score is four to one for the Hawks. twothirds of the game is in the books. So, we’ll be back in just a couple moments after this. Thank you for hanging in here with us on the Last Draft Baseball YouTube channel. Well, you got to have an ace in the hole. A little secret that nobody knows. Life is a gamble, a game we all play. But you’ve got to save something for a rainy day. You got to learn to play your cards right. If you expect to win in life, don’t put it all on the line for just one roll. You’ve got to have a nice in the hole. [Applause] Hello, this is Eric Fox, formerly of the Oakland A’s and Texas Rangers baseball teams. You want to learn about Japanese baseball, see Coach Fred, Last Wraps Baseball. You want to baseball instruction, see Coach Fred. You want to learn about golf, do not go to Coach Fred. Fred, what kind of club is this? At last drafts baseball, we know baseball. That’s right everybody, we know baseball and we are back at it. Is going to be the seven, eight and nine hitters to come to bat here to face Kohi Arihara in inning number seven. That means Choose Manami, Aua, Tama, and Tatsuki Mazuno come to bat here to face the right-hander who has just completed his tuneup tosses. Looked like it was going to be a smooth inning in that last half inning as the retired the first two batters quickly, but then a double and a walk got himself into a little bit of trouble. He was able to wiggle out on the fly ball to the left fielder by Kiama. But Manami comes to the plate. 85 pitches through six innings for the right-hander as he kicks and delivers a breaking ball that misses down and away. And the count is 1 and0. I would think that if he could get through this inning here, he probably gets a pat on the back, maybe get a opportunity to get to the showers. Our friend Jeremy or in the house here tonight. Jeremy, it’s been a minute. Haven’t seen you in a bit. Hope you’ve been doing well as the 10 pitch is on the way. There was a breaking ball swung on. This ball is going to be hookbarreled foul into the temporary seating down the left field line. Where’s the man with the glove? Nowhere to be seen. Jeremy says, “Just thought he’d say hi.” Ah, it’s great of you to stop in. I’m glad you’re around. I hope you’ve been doing pretty good. We missed you. So, one ball and one strike it is. So, Ari gets himself a new baseball. He’s checking out the seams as the right-hander works himself to the belt. Here comes the 1-1 pitch on the way. There’s a fast ball that misses inside and the count now goes to two and one. So balls and one strike. Hope you’ve been doing well. I don’t know if you’ve what you’ve been up to lately or I know Jeremy was in asking earlier in the streams about Japan and what it was like there. There’s a fast ball ticket for a called strike. The count is two and two. One of the questions that was asked I remember you were talking about was is it friendly for folks with disabilities and in certain areas it can be in certain areas it’s still quite archaic. I don’t think about that as much anymore or didn’t think about it as much when I was younger but certainly as the parents have aged and the people become elderly and their mobility becomes a problem. Certainly something always be concerned about is that pitch misses down and the count’s now three and two to Miami. And you think about young being young. I was watching some of the kids that we’re working with and I look at some of the mobility of the kids that we have and I’m like, “Oh boy, sometimes the kids need to prove their own mobility.” There’s a breaking ball that misses down. That’s going to be ball four. That’s going to be a walk to Madame and that’s going to bring up the catcher in UA Tamia. Friend Jeremy Or says the Braves have been pretty bad this year. That is facts. Can’t stay healthy and then they’ve got to make a couple of tweaks with that ball club. They’re they’re not that far away from being very good. They’re another injury or two away from being really really bad. They got to do some work on the bump. They’ve got to get that sorted out. Our friend My Cool Hook says they got to score some runs. Well, the leadoff walk to Miami is a first start brings Tama to the plate who’s 0 for one tonight. He struck out looking and has walked in his two trips. There’s a fast ball ticket for a called strike. The count is 0 and one. So, no balls and one strike. Arihara the right-hander ready to go again as the left-handed hitting Tama digs in. Pitch on the way is a fast ball that misses in and the count goes to one and one. I’m also curious to see what it’s going to be like in Taiwan. If that’s going to be a more friendly for seniors, more friendly for the elderly. When I am there a couple weeks time, it’ll be two weeks and two hours away. But who’s counting? And there is a breaking ball. Let’s take it for a call strike. The count now goes to one and two. Jeremy says, “When’s the next game?” We’re taking tomorrow night off because we’re going to go catch the Everett Aqua Socks tomorrow night and then make our way to Seattle to see the Mariners on Sunday. But we will be back home a Sunday and we’re going to call these same two teams again. So, Sunday night, North American time, it’ll be a rare Monday game in Japan as there’s a breaking ball swung on and fouled away and the count is one and two to Tama. We’ll try to squeeze another probably I would say five or six more games in mostly major league games before I head out. Looking ahead on the Monday evening in North America, try to get a fix on who’s going to be playing where and try and call a couple of major league games during the week. Maybe Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Here comes the one-two pitch. Breaking ball misses up and away. And the count now goes to two and two on Tama. We’ve squeezed a few more MLB games in this year than we have in years past. West Coast games that night. Probably the Padres’s and the Giants is what we’re looking at. We might even do that entire series Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday of next week. Certainly Monday, Tuesday. I’m not sure if the Wednesday is a getaway game or not for those two ball clubs for the Padres’s. As we said, we’ve tried to get more games in. We tried to do those West Coast late night games. It does look like it’s a getaway game on the Wednesday. So certainly the Monday and Tuesday possibly the Dodgers and the Angels on the Wednesday game as there is a fast ball swung on and it’s lifted foul. It’s going to reach the seats over on the third base side. The count remains at two and two to Tama. I’d be shocked if Ary Harak went much more than this. I would think that he’s starting to run out of steam here. And in fact, I’ll even suggest that it gets to the top of the order, we might be seeing a pitching change at some point. So, two balls and two strikes from the right-hander and the pitch on the way is a breaking ball swung on and another one fouled off and the count remains at two and two. Two balls and two strikes. Jeremy Horse has been watching the G1 climax. I’m not sure what that is. So, two balls and two strikes as getting the right-hander gets his sign and he works himself to the belt. Here comes the offering. Pitch on the way. Fast ball swung on, grounded over the head of the first baseman into right field and that is going to advance Manami. I’m going to have to take a look at that again. It looked like it was chopped, but it might have hit the the dirt and the turf where it meets and it took a little bit of a wild hop. That is going to be a base hit here for Tamil. We’ll get a look at again on the replay. Was a change up that was hung up in the zone. He chopped it down into the dirt just in front of home plate and the ball got down and it ended up getting past the glove of the first baseman of the Hawks. So, right by Nakamura. So, it had nothing to do with that. I thought it took a little weirder hop initially, but it will be a single for Tama. It’s going to put runners at first and second with nobody out. And that is going to bring Tatsuki Mazuno to the plate. And Mazuno is 0 for two. He is grounded to the pitcher and he has flown out to right. Curious if they’re going to let him swing the bat or if they’re going to bunt in this situation here. So Muno gets his self into the batters box ready to face the offering. Yet another opportunity for the fighters. I said in the last half inning when Ariart got himself into a little bit of a pickle there with two out. Got old Sparky Anderson the Tigers and Reds manager. He always used to say, “Let a pitcher get into trouble once, but he wouldn’t let him do it again.” There’s a fast ball taken for a called strike, and the count is 0 and one, or let him wiggle himself out of trouble once right now. That was the hundth pitch of the ball game from Arihara. Jeremy Or says, “New Japan Pro Wrestling.” Well, there you go. Not really that big into the wrestling bit. There’s a fast ball that misses outside. The count goes to one and one. So, one ball and one strike. There are some folks I have quite a few friends that are big time into the wrestling portion. They got a lot of female wrestling over there. They also have the sumo wrestling which is fairly big. I think it’s in March where they have their big events. So, here comes the 1-1 pitch. And that pitch is a split figure pitch. Wave that and missed. And the count now goes to one and two on Mazuno. One ball and two strikes. It’ll be Riyota Isabatada who the top of the order awaits his turn on deck here. One ball and two strikes to Mazuno. Runner at second, Miami. Runner at first, Tama Mia. Nobody out here in the top of the seventh. Pitch on the way. Breaking ball misses way outside. Count now goes to two and two. The fighters threatening here in the seventh inning. They need some instant runs here because they find themselves in a three-run deficit as the right-hander Arihara nods in agreement with his catcher. He works himself to the belt and he’s ready to go. Here’s the pitch. Breaking ball lifted foul down the left field line. Count remains at two and two. If there was a chance for a double play, this would probably be the more opportune time to get one. The batter, Riyota Isabat, who’s on deck, very tough man to double up. He’s got elite speed. So, if you’re going to get somebody to roll into one, this is the guy here in Mizuno. Mazuno can move pretty good. He just doesn’t move as well as Isoba as the right-hander Arihara now checks the runner at second. He works to the belt now delivers. There’s your ground ball up the middle. Grounded to second for one. Back to first. There’s your double play. Oh, that was clutch. That’s going to go in the books as a 463 variety. It erases Tama at second for the first out. Mazuno gone on the back end. Advancing to third is Manami. That is going to bring up the top of the order in Riyota East Sabata. So I guess if you speak it into existence, it’s going to happen. And that’s exactly what happened right there. Taylor made double play. That’s exactly what the doctor ordered for Kohi Arihara. So that brings Isoba to the plate here with two gone as the right-hander Ari ready to go back to work and the pitch is on the way. There is a split finger pitch swung on a miss. The count is quickly 0 and one. So no balls and one strike. And as I’m looking forward to next week in terms of content, as we were talking about on the channel of what games we would call and so on and so forth, probably will take the Thursday off. Really wouldn’t want to do the Diamondbacks and the Rockies. I don’t think that would be on the pallet. I don’t know if I could stomach the Rockies as that pitch is missing down and the count goes to one and one on ESATA. Also looking ahead to the games in Japan next week. Not only obviously we had the Monday game and we were looking at what that would potentially look like. There really is no afternoon games Japan time during the week for the next little bit. There’s a fast ball swung on. It’s going to be lined over the head of the first baseman into right field and it is just going to hook foul. He’s so bad. Just didn’t miss it by much. Oh boy, he hit that one right on the screws. Right over top of the glove of the leaping or first baseman and Akira Nakamura. And that ball did not miss much. So one ball and two strikes as it went foul. So, the crowd is in good form here. They’re ready to cheer on their ball club. Trying to get the third out here for Arihara as the left-handed hitting the Sabata weights. 108 pitches for the right-hander. 109 on the way. Breaking ball. Waved out and missed. And that is going to do it. Ariara gets him out of a jam. And I would expect that that would be the end of his night. There was no runs in the inning. There was a hit, no errors, and there was one runner left aboard. We’re now moving to the bottom of inning number seven. Your score is the Hawks four and the Fighters one. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be back in just a couple moments. Appreciate you all for jumping in with us tonight on the Last Drafts Baseball YouTube channel. Right back after Take Me Out to the Ball game. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Welcome back everybody. We are moving ourselves to the bottom half of inning number seven. It’ll be Ty Makiara, Yukio, and Tatsuro Yanagamachi to come to bat here. We’re just going to get a check here to see if it is still going to be the right-hander Seido or if the fighters are going to the bullpen. And it looks like they are going to the pen as they have moved to the right-hander and it is going to be Tanaka coming into the game. So this is going to be Si Tanaka who’s making his 31st appearance for the Fighters as the right-hander ready to deliver. And the first pitch is a fast ball swung on and pop foul. The count is quickly 0 and one to Makiara. He does have 11 saves on the year. It does the right-hander. He’s worked in 29 and a3 innings, allowed 24 hits. He has given up seven walks, striking out 29 and pitching to a 1.53 erra. So interesting that they’re going to bring Tanaka in in this situation. And there is a fast ball swung on and lifted foul. The count now goes to 0 and2 down by three here in the bottom of the seventh inning. So no balls and two strikes. He is way up ahead in the count here on Makihara as the right-hander ready to go. Kicks and delivers. Fast ball swung on and another one lifted foul. The count remains at no balls and two strikes. So 0 and2 here to Makihara Shudo and Yanagamachi to follow the top of the order. Got to find a way to set the table here as the pitch is delivered. It’s a ground ball chopped over to first. That is fielded by Martinez as the underhand flips it to Tanaka covering. That’s going to go in the books as a ground out three to one for the first out of the inning. That’ll bring up the top of the order in center fielder Yukio Shudo. Well, for Shudo, he is one for three in this one. He’s got a single in three trips. steps to the plate, batting from the left side as he waggles the bat, waiting on the offering from the right-hander who holds the ball set at the belt. Even though there’s nobody on, he throws from the stretch does Tanaka. And there’s a breaking ball that misses up and away. So ball one to Yukio Shudo. Right-hander again working to the set now delivers. Fast ball swung on it. This is pop foul behind the third base side of home plate and runs the count even at ones. Our friend Jeremy says, “Who’s going to win the Japan series this year?” It’s a great question. The Hanchin Tigers, I was talking about it earlier in the stream tonight. Magic number for them to win the Central League is 31. They played excellent baseball all year long. Fast ball misses inside and it runs the count to two and one. But now that they are out of their stadium for the next month and we’ll have to see if this is going to turn into a race. They got off to a huge jump. But as we know, the high school tournament takes over the ocean as that fast ball misses down and it’s now 3-1 to shoot out. So if the series is to be played in the month of August, my money would be on the Tigers. However, that being said, I I think I would still lean to the Pacific League and I would have to say whoever wins the Pacific League is going to win the Japan series. That fast ball misses inside. It’s going to be ball four. Tanaka did not like the call. And that is going to bring up the left fielder in Tatsuru Yanagamachi. I don’t know what he was so upset about that. the the catcher also wasn’t happy with the call, but I have to tell you that the catcher was set up outside there and he missed his spot. The pitch looked like it caught the inside corner, so he certainly didn’t get rewarded with that call. So, Shudo, the runner at first, one gone here. It brings Yanagamachi to the plate. So, if I had to say, whoever wins the Pacific League, and that’s either going to be the Fighters or the Hawks, I think will go on to win the series, the Japan series, that would be. Pitch on the way. There’s a breaking ball swung on. This ball is lined into left field. It’s going to get down for a base hit. It’s into the corner. Mizatani picks it up. He comes up firing to third. And stopping at third will be Shudo. Yanuk Gamachi’s got himself a double. That’s going to put runners at second and third with one gone and it’s going to bring the right fielder Kensky Condo to the plate. So, this is where you got to pick your poison. Do you want to walk Condo to face the heavyhitting Hutaki Yamakawa? That’s the question. And I say that because if you bring Yamakawa to the plate, he’s a double play candidate. And that’s exactly what they’re going to do. They’re going to hold the four fingers up and they’re going to put condo aboard. It’s going to set up the force. So bases are full of hawks. Our friend Mike Cool Hook says he needs some more runs. So bases full of hawks. It brings Yamakawa to the plate. Yamaka homerred his first time up. He’s grounded to third and he is grounded back to the pitcher. So if they can get him to drive something into the ground. He is a double play candidate as he does not run the best. And my cool hook says he needs seven runs for his total. He’s at five right now. And I’m sure you’re biting your nails big time. Well, the first pitch coming here to Yamakawa as the right-hander Tanaka holds set. And the first pitch on the way is a fast ball that misses outside and the count is 1 and0. So one ball and no strikes. Hawks scored two in the second, two in the fourth. They’ve had their chances in the fifth and now here again in the seventh as the right-hander Tanaka works again to the set. Here comes the 10 offering. Pitch on the way. Fast ball swung on it best and the count now goes to one and one on Yamakawa. Our friend Michael Cool Hooks is hoping just like the Hawks fans are to get a couple more runs across. One ball and one strike to Yamakawa as the right-hander again works to the set. Runners establish their leads. Here comes the 1-1 pitch. Fast ball swung on and a line foul into the seats down the right field line. Now the count goes to one and two on Yamakawa. Not sure if that pitch was a ball or a strike. That pitch was certainly off the on the outside corner, but it looked like it also might have little been a little bit low for Yamakawa. He was hunting the RBI’s. Here comes the one-two as the right-hander again nods in agreement with his catcher Tama. Tanaka works to the set. Here’s the one-two pitch. Fast ball misses down and in. That pitch looked pretty good to me. Two and two now to Yamakawa. Afraid God is great asked if we follow the high school baseball. Not particularly. It’s not. I What is it? 49 teams I think are at the in the final stage when they get into the final stages for the tournament at the ocean. I might peek in to see what happens toward the end, but it’s not really something that’s on my radar. There’s a breaking ball swung on and it’s pop foul right behind home plate and the count remains at two and two. So, to answer your question, I don’t necessarily watch the high school stuff. I know I’ve I’ve seen some of it. I just don’t know enough about it. I actually when I was in Japan, they have uh some interesting scouting reports on the high school players, just like they put out books on the major league players and on the or the NPB players and the second team players. There was a fast ball swung on and fouled away and the count remains at two and two. All the top prospects such as high school players, college players. Pretty in-depth piece. I almost picked one up. I thought just for the sake of looking at it to see what their thoughts are. Thought that would be kind of cool, but I actually ended up not doing it. That’s just the way it kind of went. Never really thought much of it. Maybe the next time I’m in Japan, we’ll take a piece at one of those and take my time reading through the Kangi. There’s a pitch that misses outside now. Three balls and two strikes to Yamakawa. So, the runners here not going to be on the move as there’s only one out. This is going to be a critical pitch right here coming from Si Tanaka. Bases loaded, one gone. They’re looking to add some more runs to the board. Action pitch coming right here and right now as Tanaka odds in agreement with his catcher. Holds himself set at the belt. Here comes the 3-2 offering. Pitch on the way. It is a split finger pitch. Swung on and missed. A he swung at ball forwarded Yamakawa. He’s gone for the second out of the inning. And that is going to leave an all up to Akira Nakamura. So they’re going to feel a little bit hard done by by that one there. Not being able to cash any runs in. So now establishing their leads are the base runners and Nakamura coming to the plate. He’s one for three in this one. He’s doubled and scored a run. He’s flown to center and struck out in his three trips. Batting from the left side here as the right-hander ready to go. Tanakaco holding to the set now delivers. There’s a breaking ball. Take it for a called strike. The count is 0 and one. So no balls and one strike to Nakamura as he bats here from the left side as Tanaka shaking off the with a smile shakes off Tamia and now the right-hander delivers. There’s a fast ball swung out. This ball smoked right to the right fielder Bami. Oh, they had him played perfectly positioned. He was playing shallow because they had to try to throw a runner out at the plate. Ball was hit right on the screws by Nakamura, but right to the glove of the right fielder. And that is going to do it here for the Hawks in their half inning number seven. They threatened. They had no runs, one hit, no errors. Three runners left aboard. Your score as we now move to the top of the eighth inning. It is the Hawks four and the Fighters one. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be back with the call in just a couple of moments. Appreciate you guys for being here with us. We’ll be back here in the last couple innings to bring it home for you right after this. No matter which one it is, make sure that you make it great, my friends. Big up Last Wraps Baseball. Yeah, Freddy. Let’s go. One love and peace. Yeah, man. Welcome back everybody. We’re moving to the top of the eighth inning. It is a 4 to1 ball game for the Hawks as the Fighters have had a couple of chances here over the last little bit uh to score some runs and they haven’t been able to add to their one tally. They have stranded three runners aboard in the last couple innings. The Hawks had an opportunity to extend their lead and they weren’t able to do it either. We are going to have a pitching change as that is going to be the end of the night for Kohi Arihara. They are going to the right-hander. It is going to be Yuki Matsumoto coming in as he is making his 34th appearance. He’s got himself a 1.11 erra. So, he will take over here to face the two, three, and four hitters for the fighters. It’ll be Misatanni Reyes and Martinez. One would have to think it’ll be Osuna time for the ninth. Our friend Felix says this ends with no more than six at this point. Starting to look that way here, especially with the relievers coming in. Here comes the first offering to Mizatani. And it is a breaking ball that is swung on and fouled away. And the count is quickly 0 and one. So no balls and one strike. Vizatani tonight is 0 for three. He’s grounded out twice and he has struck out in his two trips as the right-hander kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball ticket for a called strike. The count now goes to 0 and2. So, no balls and two strikes. Again, the righthander working himself to the set. Here comes the O2 offering and it is a fast ball swung on. This ball is lifted into deep center field. This ball could be trouble. Back on the warning track is Shudo and he’s right up against the wall and he’s hauling that one in. Oh, Matani sent it to for a ride but to the deepest part of the ballpark and he is going to be gone for the first out of the inning and that’ll bring up the designated hitter in Fran Reyes. So Matsoto with a sigh of relief on the mound. That almost stopped his heart on that one there. That’s going to bring a Reyes to the plate who is 0 for three tonight. He has struck out twice and grounded to the shortstop. Just batting from the right side here against the right-hander Matt Samoto and he takes a first pitch fast ball on the outside corner for a called strike and the count is 0 and one. Reus waggling the bat here. Waiting on the offering from the right-hander Matt Samoto throwing strikes. There’s another fast ball that misses down and away. And the count goes to one and one. Did not miss that pitch by much. Again, the right-hander works himself to the set position. Here’s the 1-1 breaking ball. Take it for a called strike. The count now goes to one and two on Reyes. So, one ball and two strikes. Again, the righthander working himself to the set position. Here’s the one-two offering as it’s on its way. Fast ball swung on and line foul over on the first base side. The count now goes or remains a one and two. So, one ball and two strikes. It’s getting into the part of the game where they can close it right off here. Can the Hawks shorten up the ball game? Seven from Aihara. If they get Matt Samoto and Osuna to finish it out, be a good night at the office. There’s a fast ball swung on and grounded foul over on the third base side. The count remains at one and two to Reyes. Big fella here does not have a hit tonight. He only had a couple in the series against the Lions. Again, the right-hander shaking off the sides. Now he gets one that he likes from his catcher Mano. Here comes the pitch. That is a breaking ball. The miss is down and the count now goes to two and two. So, two balls and two strikes to Fran Reyes. Ariel Martinez waiting his turn on deck. Again, the righthander works to the set. Here comes the twos. Two- two pitch. That’s a breaking ball again that misses down. And the count now goes to three and two. So, three balls and two strikes. And again, the right-hander working himself to the belt. Here comes the pitch. And he kicks and delivers. There’s a fast ball. Taking for a called third strike. Oh, Reyes didn’t like the call. Not sure what Reyes is looking at. He just picked himself up a sombrero. He’s gone for the second out. He’s letting the umpire know as he walks away. But I got to tell you, this is the same that we witnessed the other night. We’ll get a look at the replay on this one. Yeah, he might have a little bit of a beef, but with two strikes, you got to be looking for that pitch away. and they’ve been painting him this last week or so. The Saitama Cebu Lions did it to him as well. And certainly right there, he’s not a happy camper in the dugout. So, he’s gone for out number two. This brings Ariel Martinez to the plate. The first pitch to Martinez is a breaking ball swung on it best. Martinez has had a good night at the office. He’s two for three tonight. Raised his season average to 226. Both of the hits he’s had tonight have been doubles. He’s scored the only run so far for the fighters in this one as he on the error by the first baseman Nakamura. And there is a fast ball that misses low and the count goes to one and one. I know the pitchers have been close, but I just have the feeling in this game here that both of the teams can be frustrated with this homeplayed umpire. There’s a fast ball swung on. is hit on one hop over to second. Fielded in the shallow right field position by Makihara. He’s going to throw to first and Martinez is going to be retired. It’s going to go in the books as they ground out four to three for the third out of the inning. And that’s going to do it here in the top of the eighth inning for the Fighters. No runs, no hits, no errors. Nobody left the board. We’ll come back and continue to chat with the chat when we return. It is the Hawks with a 4-1 lead. The Big Boss is going to the bullpen. Bottom of the eighth is just around the corner. We’ll be right back after this musical timeout. Stay with us everybody. We’ll be right back. [Music] Oh, hello. Oh, hey. Yep. Yep. I’m just sitting here listening to Freddy call another game here on YouTube. Oh yeah. Going really good. He’s calling a great game. Really exciting. Lots of stuff going on. You’re lucky it’s commercial break right now. I got a second. Oh yeah, of course. I’m having a cold one. Oh yeah. Got plenty of videos coming up this week. You should stop in, check them out, leave leave a like, you know, tell other people. But oh, Freddy’s coming back. I gotta go catch the game. I will check check in with you later. You have a good night, buddy. Bye. Welcome back, everybody. It is another pitching change here for the fighters. It is going to be Takumi Yamamoto coming on in relief. He is making his 23rd appearance for the fighters. He has gra of 2.57. Every time I see Emoto pitch, I just I’m amazed. He has not the biggest of fellas. He made his debut in 2018 with the Dragons. He came over in a trade alongside Yuya Gunji in exchange for Shingo Isami and Cookie Seido back in the 2023 season. He’s not a big fella. He stands at only 5’7, but he definitely throws harder than what he stands in stature. So, Yamamoto on in relief here, and he’s going to be facing Jeter Downs, Hikaro, Kawasi, and Tekashi Amino. So, here we go. Back to the live action as the right-hander delivers. Breaking ball swung on. It is lifted into right field. Moving over toward the line is Manami and he’s there to make the catch and that is going to retire Downs on one pitch. So one pitch one away here in the eighth. It’s going to bring up the shortstop in Hikaro Kawasi for Kawasi today. He is one for three. He’s got a single and three trips. He’s popped a third and grounded. I say grounded, but he hit one back off the pitcher in the sixth inning. Batting from the left side here against the right-hander Yamamoto, who kicks and delivers. It’s a breaking ball that drops in for a called strike. And the count is 0 and one. Four runs, eight hits, one error for the Hawks. One run, four hits, one error for the Fighters as the right-hander Yamamoto delivers. There’s a fast ball that’s taken for a called strike. The count now goes to 0 and2. Looking ahead to the ninth inning, it’ll be Ishi Kiya and Manami to come to B bat for the fighters as the O2 on the way. Here’s the pitch. Fast ball swung on. Grounded over to the right side. Fielded by Kish Kazori Yishi. He throws to first and that is going to retire Kawasi on a ground out. Four to three. So two quick outs here to start the eighth inning and it’s going to leave it up to the catcher to Cashi Amino. Well, for Amino, he is one for three tonight. He’s got a single. He’s driven in a run. He’s struck out and he had that ground out to the right fielder as Manami had gunned him down at first base after he hit a bullet to right field. Here’s the first pitch on the way. It’s a fast ball that misses upstairs and the count is 1 and0. So, one ball and no strikes. Right-hander against the right-hander. Yamamoto kicks and delivers. There’s a breaking ball that misses upstairs and the count now goes to 2 and 0. One thing I will say that I really like about Yamamoto is just how quickly he works. Get some of the relievers, they come in and they take forever to deliver a pitch. Yamamoto wastess pretty much no time by Japanese reliever standards as the 200 on the way is center cut for a called strike. Two balls and one strike. It is again the right-hander wasting no time. Kicks and fires. Pitches a fast ball swung on a miss. And the count now goes to two and two on Amino. Just has an accelerated rate when he gets into the ball game. So two pitch coming here. As again, the righthander kicks and fires. Fast ball swung on and missed. And Amino’s in the books for the third out of the inning. And that is going to do it here for the Hawks in inning number eight. No runs, no hits, no errors, nobody left the board. They go in order. We are now moving to the top of the ninth inning. Your score is the Hawks four and the Fighters one. Stay with us. Top of the ninth just around the corner. We’ll see how this all plays out in just a couple moments right after this timeout. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] Hello guys. Thank you for joining Freddy here on his baseball game. And I’m Steve Rodmacher. And my channel is really all about everybody, including all my international friends. We have such stuff as non-sport packs from Canada, the OP Cheese. We have the Greek Freak. We have money from around the world. We have LRA. We have Yen. We have Franks. We have pounds. We have Deutsch marks. We have all kinds of cool stuff like that. We even have some cooler things like Japanese women wrestlers and OPG baseball cards or I cannot read the back. We even have unopened material like the royal family. I know it’s backwards from London, England. Thank you for watching. Back to Freddy. Welcome back everybody. Well, it is going to be Kazyuki uh Sugayyama who is coming into the ball game to try to close this one out here for the Hawks. So, no Osuna sighting in this one. It is his 47th appearance of the year. He is 2 and2. He’s worked 45 and two/3 innings. He’s allowed 35 hits, walking 17 and striking out 67 in that time frame, pitching to an erra of 1.58. So his 47th appearance is coming up here as he has been a busy man out of the Hawks pen. There is a change over at third base as well and updated the change on that. It looks like Jeter Downs’s night is done. It looks like it is Namra into play at third. And so that would be Sami Namura. The first pitch delivered is a fast ball swung on and fouled away. The Kazishi count is 0 and one. Ishi, Kiamya, and Manami here. They need to get some base runners, do the fighters if they want to stick around in this one. Pitches a fast ball that misses inside and the count goes to one and one. So, one ball and one strike. Right-hander delivers. There’s a fast ball swung on. It is lifted foul down the left field line. And the count now goes to one and two. So way up here is Sigyama. My friend Jeremy said he hasn’t been around as much as he wanted to. He’s going to be here for the playoffs. Well, we haven’t been around as much as we wanted to. We were almost dark for a full month of no games. Fast ball swung on and lifted foul down the left field line. Just pretty busy times here. A little slowed down a little bit and of course going to be going away for a couple weeks. looking forward to getting over to Asia and seeing some games in the CPBL. There’s a breaking ball that misses up and away and the count goes to two and two. So, two balls and two strikes. Getting the right-hander getting the sign. Sigyawa rocks and delivers. Fast ball misses way outside. And the count goes full to Kishi. Kazinor is fighters need the runners. Here comes the pitch. Fast ball swung on. Grounded foul just past the first base coach’s box. And the count remains full at three and two. Three balls and two strikes. Again, the righthander rocking into the delivery and fires. There’s a fast ball and another one lifted foul. And now we got a bit of a battle brewing on our hands here as this is going to be the ninth pitch of the at bat coming up here for Kazishi. Getting the rightander Sugiamyama rocking into the windup and delivers. Fast ball swung on. This ball is lifted into deep center field. Going back on it is Shudo and he’s at the edge of the warning track and he makes the catch that is going to retire Ishi. He sent it for a deep waist into center field. That’s the second time now Shin Mizatani did it in the last inning and Ishi did it here. Sending right ball right to the deepest part of the ballpark but not is going to retire Ishi for the first out of the inning. We’ll bring up the third baseman in Qatar Kiama. Well, for Kiama, he is officially one for three tonight. He has reached twice. He reached on an error in the second inning. He had a single in the fourth and then he popped out to the left fielder in the fifth in the sixth inning as he swings at the first pitch and fouls that one away behind home plate. The count is 0 and one. So, no balls in one strike. Again, the righthander rocks and delivers. There’s a fast ball swung on it missed. And now the count goes to 0 and2 on Kiya. As we’ve been saying through the night, nothing tomorrow night on the channel, but it’ll be Sunday night, which would be the Monday in Japan. A rare Monday game. Fast ball swung on and missed and Kamio’s in the books. He’s gone for the second out of the inning. That’s coming bring up the ranked fielder in Chuse Miami. So if you guys are around, stay with us for the games on Sunday night, North American time. As we said, rare Monday baseball in Japan. So that’ll be the next game that we’ll be doing on the channel. And then bunch of major league games next week. Monday, Tuesday, it’ll be the probably the Giants and the Padres’s. Fast ball swung on, grounded softly to second. That ought to do it. Fielded neatly by the second baseman, Makihari throws the first. And Nami’s gone for the third out of the inning. And that will do it here, guys. That is going to wrap it up for this one tonight. No runs, no hits, no errors, nobody left the board. We’ll come back, give you the rundown on this one, take you through the out of town scoreboard, and then we’ll do a wrap on this one tonight. Your final score is the Hawks for the Fighters one. We’ll be right back in just a couple moments after this with all the wrap-up. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Namaste. Hey, I hope you guys have been enjoying the game. My name is Hollis. I’ve got a YouTube channel called Another Hollis Build. Um, I love baseball cards. I open up brand new product for you guys. I open up old stuff. I do breaks. I do auctions. All kinds of stuff concerning baseball. I’m Frier’s faithful Padres’s to the end. I also love garbage pail kids and my animals. Um, if you guys dig stuff like that, cruise on over and check it out. It’s another Hollis build. If you dig it, subscribe. I I’d really appreciate to have more follow me along on the journey. Hey, either way, you guys have a wonderful day or a beautiful, beautiful evening. No matter which one it is, make sure that you make it great, my friends. Big up last wraps baseball. Yeah, Freddy. Let’s go. One love and peace. Yeah, man. Welcome back everybody. It took 2 hours and 46 minutes to play this one here tonight in front of 40,142 fans at the Pepe Dome in Fukuoka. Your final score in this one was 4 to1. Runs were scored in bunches by the Hawks or at least in pairs. But the scoring got going in the top of the second inning after a leadoff double by Ariel Martinez. He was sacrificed to third by Kazishi upstepped Qatar Kiama. He grounded the ball to the first baseman Akahira Akira Nakamura who had fielded the ball and fired to the plate but he threw it all the way to the back stop. That ended up cashing the first run of the game in for the fighters. But that’s all they scored tonight as the Hawks responded with two of their own in the second. A leadoff home run in that inning by Hotaki Yamakawa, his 17th of the year, even the score at one. Then with one out, a walk to Jeter DS, a single by Hikaro Kawas, and it was Teeshi who singled home. Downs with the second round of the game for the Hawks. It was 2-1 after two. Hawks added to their lead in the fourth inning, a leadoff double off the bat of Nakamura. And then Jeter Downs stepped up and hit his fourth homer of the year. A two-run shot into the left center field seats to make the score line four to one. And that is exactly where it ended. Four runs, eight hits, and an error for the Hawks. One run, four hits, and one error for the Fighters. Again, your final score was the Hawks four and the Fighters one. The only other game that is currently going on in the NPB is a Central League matchup between the Dragons and the Karp. That is in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Dragons have a two to nothing lead in that one. The Dragons scored in the first and in the fifth as they are ahead of the Karp two to nothing. Games that will go off later 6:00 local time or 1800 in Japan if you’re on the military time. It’ll be the Marines hosting the Buffaloos and the Lions will host the Eagles. In the Central League at the Coser Dome, the Tigers host the Swallows and the Giants will be playing away in Yokohama to play the Bay Stars. Once again everybody, nothing tomorrow night on the channel, but we will be back at it again. Our friend All Rails was listening. Appreciate you. Cool Hooks, appreciate you as well. Our friend All says, uh, he was listening the entire time, but really didn’t chat much. That’s okay. The chat was kind of quiet tonight. Sometimes it’s busy and popping and sometimes it’s just laidback and listening. That’s what we had here tonight. Okay, everybody, have yourself a great night. Nothing tomorrow night, but we will be Sunday night back on the airwaves as it’ll be these same two teams for the third game in the series. I kind of wish I was doing tomorrow night. It’ll be Welo versus Ido. So, if you’re around, try to check it out. I’m sure it’ll be a great pitching matchup nonetheless. Have a great night, everybody. We’ll catch you again in a couple of days. [Music] [Music] all I want. All I want and you only [Music] keep me waiting. All I want. All I want.
