New York Yankees Trading For Amed Rosario My Thoughts!!

Yo, what’s going on guys? This is Houston Sports Talk back into another video today. And today the New York Yankees have traded for Amed Rosario um who is a shortstop who got to play second base and a little bit in the outfield. Um the Yankees did make a good trade trading for a first baseman which something they needed and they they acquired a good home run hitter in Ryan McMahon. Um but they needed a guy, you know, a middle infielder as well and that’s what they do here bringing in Rosario who’s been really good this year in 2025. This is the third deadline in a row that Rosar Rosario is getting traded. But he this year he has bat 270 playing 46 games, batting 270, 40 hits and 148 at bats. He’s got five home runs which um is pretty good for him. He’s not that crazy of a home run hitter. 18 RBI’s though this year batting 270. Uh 2024 he did play for three different teams. he was with, you know, he was with Tampa and they traded him to the to the Dodgers and he was hitting well with he was hitting okay with the Dodgers was 11 for was three for 11 uh with two RBI’s and a stolen base. Didn’t you know was looking pretty solid with the Dodgers batting 273 in five games after they traded after the Dodgers traded for him with the Rays. He was doing really well in 2024 was batting .307. In no world should have been, you know, DFAD by the Dodgers. Well, the Dodgers DFAD Rosario when Mookie Betts came back from the injury list. You know, Mukie Betts was on the injured list for a while last year in 2024 and then he got picked up by the by the Reds and struggled with the Reds a little bit, you know. So he was actually doing really well last year with the Dodgers in the Rays and you know and the Dodgers made a poor a poor decision last year because the do what the Dodgers ended up doing last year was they could they could have you know DFA Chris Taylor but instead DFA Rosario who was batting 307 with the Rays most of the year and then 273 in five games with the Dodgers. Um but you know in 2023 was with the Guardians and the Dodgers batting 263. He’s just a solid, efficient batter, you know, batting 273 in his career, 270 this year. Like I mentioned, and we can go over the trade details for the Yankees in this deal, what they’re giving up. The Yankees are giving up two prospects in this deal. Um, they are giving up uh Clayton Beater, who was their 20th best prospect, and then Broome Martinez. So, they’ve had to given up they they had to give up three top prospects um to land a Medid and Ryan McMahon because they gave up two top 20s in the Ryan McMahon trade.
