WOW 🤯 Oneil Cruz is READY for the Home Run Derby! (458-ft. home run for the Pirates!)
just doesn’t find the middle of the plate very often. [Applause] When he does, he throws that. Yep. When he does, he’s not expecting it. And this curveball down the middle to Cruz is taken for strike one. Yeah, that’s just a tough take for O’Neal Cruz. Just feel his body just out in front. Having a hard time controlling the body to get that swing off. It’s electric when he can. You want to be able to get that swing off as often as possible. Pitch is out over the plate. [Applause] So, three different pitches here. Curveball change up fast ball to Cruz. Say it. Lugo has as many as 11 pitches available to him. 2-1. And a highf fly ball to right field. O’Neal Cruz. He’s going to the home run derby. And that was a towering home run for O’Neal Cruz. His 16th. How about it? The day he is announced as a participant, he delivers. And boy did he. That ball went over the waterfalls up in the Price Chopper patio. That’s a nice poke right there. We shared earlier those balls, they get out of there in a hurry. Brian Reynolds hit one out there. 115.6 on the exit. VO 458 ft. Goodness, that was a breaking ball that elevated and he knew right when he hit it.
