◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham vs Orix (11th, Escon F)
A new 10-meter-tall wall art has been completed at Nippon-Ham’ home stadium, ESCON. It was created by “OVER ALLs,” who painted Yu Darvish and Shohei Otani on the walls of “TOWER 11.” The dynamic composition of the artwork depicts pitcher Hiromi Ito outfielder Chusei Mannami, the faces of Nippon-Ham Fighters’ pitching and batting. It is painted on the wall of ESCON’s craft beer brewing restaurant “Sora Shiba by Yona Yona Ale.”
伊藤は「目標とするダルビッシュ有投手のように、ウォールアートとしてエスコンフィールドＨＯＫＫＡＩＤＯに描いていただけたことを大変嬉しく思います。吠えているシーンを切り取っていただいた通り、これまで以上に気持ちを前面に押し出した投球を見せていきたいと思います。チームを代表する選手に抜擢されたことを粋に感じながら、これからもウォールアートに恥じないプレーを披露したいと思います」と感謝した。
Mannami said, “It is a great joy and pride for me to have my image engraved as wall art on ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO, the world’s largest ballpark. It is a great honor for me as an athlete to be a part of the stadium, just like my great seniors, Yu Darvish pitcher and Shohei Ohtani. I would like to turn this wonderful opportunity into strength and continue to embody a powerful and dynamic play at ground that is as powerful and dynamic as the wall art.
