every year I make my predictions as to who I think will be the College World Series champion and I have never had good success so this year I decided to pull my analytics background and use my degree for something i compiled a list of all the key important statistics average fast ball for the team average strike percentage for the team staff erra batting average home runs on base percentage fielding percentage and then I compiled all of that to create a composite score so the first match up Coastal Carolina versus Arizona i have Coastal Carolina winning this matchup they have two best statistics including 65% staff strike percentage and a 3.23 erra that is the best in all of the top eight teams of the country this year when I did the composite score for all these statistics Coastal Carolina came out to a 57.5 arizona came out to a 48.8 next we have Oregon State versus Louisville louisville has the lowest composite score at 40.2 oregon State has the third highest statistics at 58.6 therefore I’m picking Oregon State in the elimination game louisville will play Arizona arizona will beat Louisville the winner of that Coastal Carolina Oregon State matchup will be Coastal Carolina that causes Oregon State to have to play Arizona i believe Oregon State will be able to win in that semi-final game oregon State will beat Coastal Carolina however they have to beat them twice to move on to the final and because of that I think with the abilities of Coastal Carolina pitching they will be able to make it to the final now on bracket two a much tougher division over here ucla versus Murray State Arkansas versus LSU i have UCLA winning i think they’ll do enough to be able to beat Murray State Arkansas and LSU i have Arkansas winning this an average team fastball velocity of 93.9 a team batting average of 313 124 home runs hit this year a 422 on base percentage and a 9.84 fielding percentage this resulted in a 72.2 composite score arkansas will then have to play UCLA they will beat UCLA i think LSU has the tools to be able to take out Murray State that forces UCLA versus LSU i have LSU winning that game that leaves us with Arkansas and LSU i have Arkansas winning in the first game they play that leaves us with Coastal Carolina versus Arkansas arkansas will sweep them in two games becoming the 2025 College World Series champion two eggs
