NBA DRAFT 2025 : J’annonce l’arrivée du prochain VISAGE de la NBA et ce n’est PAS Cooper Flagg !
OK, what’s up mes? I hope you’re doing well. Welcome to my Magic Mike Curry channel where we talk about NBA news. So guys, the draft just happened. I’m going to give you my top 3 picks and flops of the 2025 draft right now. Here we go. Pop hop. But before that, don’t forget to subscribe, bro. Let’s go. Okay guys, sorry about my outfits. I’m going to go to the gym in a little while. I’m taking my little C4 to get some energy and then, well, right after the video, let’s go. But we’re going to start right now with the flops. Here we go. So, first flop, guys, we’re going to talk about Egor Demin . Basically, Brooklyn took him. In what position? In 8th position, that’s super high. Whereas normally, he was predicted to be towards the end of the first round. So there, 8th, normally, you’re in the top 10, you’re a guy who’s going to weigh in with All-Star ambitions. Except for Egor Demin, so I think the Brooklyn Nets clearly bet on his wingspan. 2.03. The guy is a big build, he can do a lot of damage. He could be a Zion where he can really beat everything. But guys, if I give you his stats, you’re going to be scared. Look, he’s on an average. So, he played in Europe and he played at BYU and he’s averaging 10.6 points, 5.5 assists on average. For now, we’re saying it’s okay but in 27 minutes and especially that’s where it’s most alarming. His 3-point shooting is catastrophic. 27.4%. On top of that, we have a free throw percentage of 69.5. So already clearly then 10.6 and 5.5 assists, you say to yourself well he could be a good player, he could be someone who can rotate well, who could have a, how to say, an impact. He could be a role player, he could be a starter on a team. But here, let’s not forget that these are university stats. So if already in university, you have stats like that, you come to the NBA, you’re going to get massacred. There, it’s not the same attacks, it’s not the same defense guys. So there, frankly, it’s a risky bet. Especially in 8th position. In 8th position, you could have taken other players with much greater abilities, with potential where you can say “Ah, he can get bigger.” There, frankly, it’s a very big bet. In fact, they clearly bet on the physique of the guy by saying “The guy is a rough diamond, we’re going to cut him so that afterward he ‘s mega hot.” So frankly, it’s a double kit. The Nets, they were they were at roulette. There was a 1 in 36 chance, they bet on number 23. So the second flop clearly for me is Colin Murray Boyles who was drafted in 9th position so right after Egor Demin in Toronto. So why? Because you’re going to tell me guys, he has good stats, he’s super good. When you see him on the court, nothing to say. The guy is averaging, I’ll tell you, 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Clearly there. So, compare him with Egor Demin and it’s 10.6 and 5.5. There, there’s no comparison and you almost double the Gord de Mine stadiums. So for me there clearly 16.8 and 8.3 in passing and rebounding is clean. And clearly the only thing that made me put him in the flop guys and I think you saw it, is when he was drafted and we said Collin Murray Boyles to the Toronto Raptors, he said “fuck fuck”. And yeah guys, you can’t do that. You can’t say “Damn, like the guy was pissed to go to Toronto.” So already Toronto, it’s not Washington, it’s not a team that’s been knocked down. Frankly, Toronto, even if well, they’re not in the best position, they still have a good team, a pretty interesting team that can do something. If we build it well, it can do something. So you can’t say “fuck”. You can, plus you’ve just been drafted, it’s the beginning, then you’re off to a bad start. And for me, frankly, I think that’s a lousy mentality. Really, you can’t do that. Honestly, you’re drafted, there are plenty of people who would like to go to the NBA and I think that even Him, I think it’s even his dream. Afterwards, I can understand that he’s frustrated because well maybe he was drafted in 9th position. Maybe he was saying to himself, uh, I have a bit of a choice, so to speak, I want to be in a great franchise, I want to be in I don’t know, Miami or in a great city, Los Angeles and so on, Boston whatever. But you were in Toronto and well, that’s it, that’s how it is. Now, cut your teeth. There are you weren’t the only one. There are guys who were even worse who were in Detroit, Cade Cunningham, he didn’t connect. Uh, others in Charlotte, Lamelo Ball and so on. Well, they made their mark, they became the franchise players of their franchise and that’s it, and then they try to take their franchise to the top, to the playoffs and to the title. You can’t you Coline meur Bols 9th position say fucked in ah mode [ __ ] it sounds like a spoiled child and frankly I hate that and for me clearly it’s revealing well precisely of his career because if you do that man you’re going to be in the hole already Toronto fans are not going to follow you the roster they are not going to take you under their wing. You imagine, you go to a team where you know that well suddenly you don’t want to go. Well all your teammates are going to say “Well what is it? And you don’t want to be there? Well stay on the bench my friend.” So I think that clearly he’s starting very very badly and even he’s going to go a little backwards. So if you go backwards, well clearly your training will not be good and your matches are even worse. So frankly it’s a real shame. I hope he will change. Afterwards he still has time, he still has time to adapt. There’s still time to apologize, but for the moment it doesn’t look good. And the top 1 of the ultimate flop of the draft. So this will shock everyone maybe, but in any case, for me it’s Arius Ace Bailey, guys, without a doubt. Why? Because there has been a lot of controversy. So, even before the draft, we’re going to go back a little bit and clearly, what did Ace Bailey actually do? So to tell you, normally players who are potentially drafted or at least who are in the first round of the draft have workouts with the teams. Well, in fact, it will allow the franchises to know a little bit about their potential, to exchange a little bit with the players and to say to themselves, “Okay, he had a good workout, go ahead, I want to take him, they exchange with the other franchises, I would like to see Ace Bailey, you?” Yes, something. Yeah, he did very well and so on. So basically, it’s super important to do training with the different franchises. You do it with 2, 3, 5, 10, you do what you want. But in any case, normally it’s already very positive to do training. That is to say that the franchises are already interested in your profile and in addition it also allows you to show yourself, to have a little bit of the king’s choice to say to yourself , well there are several franchises that are interested in my profile. So potentially, you can also advance in the rounds precisely, uh in the peaks. You can normally, well maybe be at the beginning, you’re maybe 10th. In the end, there are plenty of franchises that love you and so you can be in the top. And so then Ace Bailey, I don’t know who manages him, but frankly, he stinks of shit because clearly already as a base, so the average, I don’t know how much it is, but you have between 3 and 10, you do several training sessions with franchises. He already chose only one as a base, it was the Philadelphia 76ers, so already you say, well, you ‘re a little greedy, my friend. That means you only do one. In fact, normally, if you only do one training session with a franchise, you send a message to the others saying, “Guys, I don’t want you. So if you want me, fuck it, I’m going to do shit. I’m going to want a trade.” So already when you’re when you’re drafted and when you’re a rookie, already good luck. Even Wemby wouldn’t even dare to do that. But in any case, if you already take a single training session at Fila, it’s that you bet everything on Fila so that they want you. So, it’s a strategy either but in any case it’s already a little weird but not only did he do that but right after he refused so he canceled his training with the Phila CMNC Sixers. What does that mean again? That means he’s giving the Sixers a big fuck by saying “Come on , no, actually I don’t want to train. I actually it’s like he’s saying to both Fila and all the franchises, guys, I know what I want. I’m making a bet with myself. I don’t want to show you my talent. Now if you want me, well, you just have to take me. That’s all. Except that in fact it doesn’t work like that. Who does that? It’s not even in the norms, it’s not even in the rules of the NBA to do that. He’s the only one who did that and it’s extremely frowned upon and that’s normal. What does that mean? It means that the guys, they’re going to want to take you with either videos that you made at university, but we want to meet you, we want to talk with you, we want to, that’s it. Well, the guy, he didn’t even make the effort. So clearly he shot himself, it’s not even a shot in the foot, he shot himself at least 4 times. There he was like a machine gun on his legs. Honestly, that already shows his mentality. After that, it’s risky, it shows that he has confidence in himself too, that can be good but on the contrary, it can also show an oversized ego. And there clearly, well , who took him? The Utah Jazz in 5th position. Already 5th position. So that shows all his talent. The guy is averaging 17.6 points and 7.2 rebounds. That’s still not bad. And on top of that, offensively, he’s a ball. The guy is hot. After that, defensively, that’s why he wasn’t in the top 3, is that defensively, they saw that the franchises saw that there was a gap in his profile and that’s why he made the top 3, even though he absolutely thought he was going to hit the top 3. He was taken by the Utah Jazz, he was disappointed and after that he dared because normally as soon as you are taken on Sunday, I think that’s it, well normally you take the plane to go to your first training and well except that he did not take the plane with his colleague who was also drafted suddenly to the Utah Jazz. But there you go, he was I think uh a little attacked by his manager or in any case by his entourage saying “Me there, you are [ __ ] your whole career, you do that, it’s over. It’s not there is not someone who can draft you. Well, the Lakers, OK, we’ll take him.” No, it doesn’t work like that. The draft, the draft, the Jazz take you and then they do what they want with you. That means that for 1 year, if they don’t want to take you, well, they put you on the bench, they don’t make you work, they don’t make you play and that’s it. So frankly, SB is a bit like the brother Colin Muray Boy but worse because the guy thinks he’s a Rosta, he thinks he’s a Wemby and he thinks that all the franchises will be at his feet. Except that clearly, even if you’re good, you can’t have that mentality, especially after having done nothing. Bro, you’re not even in the league yet, you already want to be the caliph instead of the caliph. No, it’s not possible. So for me, clearly, Bailey is the ultimate flop, guys, and I’m telling you, he might be good, clearly. I think we’re not going to lie to ourselves, he’s going to do great things in the league. He could clearly be an all-star because he has the skills, we’re not going to lie to ourselves, but he’s never going to be a franchise player. He’s never going to be impactful and I clearly think unfortunately that he’s never going to get a ring. This time we’re moving on to the top 3 picks in the 2025 draft. For me, it’s of course Khaman Maluach who finished 10th in the draft. So normally Rockets but who was traded with the Kevin Durent trade to Sens. So first of all, what we have to say is that he’s South Sudanese. He has a wingspan of 2.32 and he’s 2.17. The guy is a monster. Physically, you already want to have him on your team. Afterwards, he could be a top player or a flop. Clearly, he’s going to be somewhere in between. He could be a failure, clearly, if he doesn’t give his all or if there are problems, whether physical or related to his entourage, but for me, there’s a better chance that he’s a top player. Why? Because he ‘s well surrounded. First of all, what must be said is that his manager is Rich Paul. And who does Rich Paul have? He has LeBron James on his roster. He also has Anthony Davis. Dejounte Murray, he has, frankly, I’ll tell you, really Zach LaVine, Tyrese Maxey, Darius Garland, Brandon Ingram, and Draymond Green, among others. Oh, there are still plenty, but he already has a slew of stars, what am I saying, all-stars. So clearly, when you have Rich Paul as your manager, it means you have a great future ahead of you. Let’s not lie to ourselves. For me, Caman is a future top 3 player in the next few years. Really, for me, it’s going to be Chet Holmgrem, Wemby, and potentially Khaman in the top 3, top 4. And in the next few years, within 3 or 4 years, I clearly think he has the potential to do two great things. The top 2 best in the draft for me is Yang Hansen. 16th pick, taken by Portland. He’s nicknamed the Chinese Jokic. So why? Well, because his style of play is quite similar to our guy Nikola Jokic. He’s a glove player, he’s imposing, he has a slightly slow style, and frankly, he’s very good. He has a really good shooting ability, averaging 16.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, and averaging three assists. So, in China, it’s not the same. You’re going to tell me, “It’s a cheat code, the Chinese, they’re all small and what’s more, it’s not the same intensity.” That’s true. But I think that clearly, seeing him play, there’s something to be done. There’s potential. So, you’ll tell me on the team, there’s DeAndre Hayon who’s in Portland but he wants to be traded. So, there’s a good chance that DeAndre Ayton will be traded and that Yang Hansen will take over the starting center spot. And then, that wouldn’t be bad for him because he’s going to improve a lot, he’s going to adapt a lot, play and therefore become stronger and stronger and gain intensity. And really, I think the parallel and the comparison between Nikolay and Yang Hansen is palpable. Really, there’s something to be done. After that, to say that he’s going to be a future Jokic and for me the top 1, the best, the ultimate robbery of the 2025 draft, for me it’s VJ Edgecomb. So already athletically because we’re on an average, hang on tight, from behind 1.96, he’s averaging 15 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Which means that already these stats are very good but in addition he’s very complete. And that’s ultra important. And clearly these stats are strong. Really it’s a profile that you want to have because suddenly you know that he’s going to be both on offense and defense at 100%. He’s going to be able to support both ends of the court. So frankly already athletically, sportingly speaking, VJ Edgecomb, I say yes. I say yes, but in addition to that, and that’s what allows me to say that, frankly, I’m going to tell you VJ Edgecomb, I’m telling you, I’m giving you everything, he’s going to be a future MVP. I bet my hand on the guys. VJ Edgecomb will be MVP in the next 6 years. So not the next three because clearly he has to cut his teeth and even WB wasn’t MVP in the next two or three years. Well, maybe we’ll see. But in any case, clearly for me he’s an MVP. He’s going to become an MVP, that’s for sure and certain. There’s no doubt about that. So clearly VJ, so I’ve talked to you about him from a sporting point of view, but we’re also going to talk about the human side. And that’s where I’m telling you, we make the difference between good players and superstars and legends. For me, clearly, it might be a little Far away for you, but for me, VJ Edgecomb, he’s going to be one of the legends of the NBA. Frankly, I’m seriously disgusted with what he has at Fila. Ah, if he had been a Warriors, I would have been the happiest guy in the world because clearly he already has a work ethic that is relentless. The guy is a hard worker, he wants to work, he wants to work, he loves it, he’s passionate about basketball. And that’s typically indicative of players who are going to be excellent, not just excellent, but who are going to exceed expectations. A Kobe Bryant, a Stephen Curry, a Lebron James, a Kevin Durant. For me, he’s of that caliber. For me, he’s a profile that will make an impression. And for me, he’s going to be a person who will be a franchise player soon. Maybe not at Fila, but certainly in a franchise that deserves it. And to finish on VJ Edgecomb, I’m also going to talk about his story because he told it during the draft. He was in tears. This guy, frankly, he touched me. He touched me. What did he say? He said, “I would like to thank my mother who always supported me, who gave me everything, who for 7 consecutive years, he didn’t have electricity. He lived with a generator. So the guy lived in poverty.” And to tell you, it’s always the guys who have nothing, who have their backs against the wall, who know what poverty is, who know what hard work is, to be at rock bottom, to hit rock bottom, to have their backs against the wall, to say to themselves “I have nothing to lose.” These are the guys who are the best. They are the Lebron Jameses, the Kevin Durants who have lived through the ultimate poverty and who want to excel to be the best. Why? To never relive the same situation as before. To say to yourself “I’m going to protect my dad and it’s not the influencers, I’m going to protect my dad.” Nana, no no. These guys are the guys who have values who say to themselves every thousand, every million dollars that I put aside, it’s going to allow me to no longer be in poverty because I don’t want to be anymore. And clearly, VJ Edgecomb, he’s going to be famous, he’s going to have an incredible career. I’m going to follow him guys, follow him. I think he’ll even be better than Cooper Flagg. I’ll tell you something, he’ll be the rookie of the year. Don’t forget this video. VJ Edgecomb is going to be the 2025-2026 Rookie. That’s it, that’s the end of the video. I hope you enjoyed it. If so, don’t hesitate to give the video a thumbs up. Also, don’t hesitate to comment on whether there are any other tops or flops that you noticed in this year’s draft.
