I Am Pitching A Lot Better Than This

well it’s officially been 24 hours since my last game and that’s my cut off i am now no longer thinking about it and being down on myself it’s been a very negative place for the last 24 hours in my head i don’t feel like I deserved to give up six runs i don’t feel like I’ve had anything go my way this season feel very far away from my goals 24 hours is up so I’m going to try to take some positives which in 5 days I get to pitch again and I really need to have a good outing complete game shut out sure would be nice but uh that’s a little bit much to hope for i think at this point what I really need to do is have another good week of prep and in order to do that I need to take some positives from last game i executed very well overall i’m giving up hits in the exact wrong order which can’t last all season and it’s still early at this point in the year in 2023 I’d thrown 16 innings and I had an 8.4 4 ERA and I was skipped in my next start so at this point now I have 49 innings and a 3.6 ERA so I’m ahead of where I was in 2023 and then I figured it out i figured out how to stop giving up homers and started pitching better and put up a six over my next 100 innings so we’re just going to do that again and that starts in 4 days with the Dragons i think I’m getting sick again or maybe I just haven’t kicked whatever sickness I have i can feel it in my sinuses it’s like I’m jogging and every time my heels hit the ground I feel like stuff moving in there and it’s like kind of annoying and painful don’t was holding the ball like this talking to our pitching coach talking to our analysts talking to some teammates like “What do you got what do you see what am I doing wrong?” And one of the consistent things that keeps coming back is my command is too good that I’m not like missing enough especially like in or up and in and the hitters are like too comfortable but also my entire strategy has been based around set the glove in the middle because I’ll miss i’ll end up on the corners but it seems like now when I set the glove in the middle I’m hitting the glove so when I’m ahead 01 people are hitting like 0 something against me i’m like the best pitcher in the league when I’m behind 1 people are hitting like four something against me which makes me like the worst pitcher in the league if I can fix this hole when I get behind in the count and it’s not just that they hit really well on the next pitch like I could go 1 then throw two strikes but still in that one two count they get a hit i think it’s because I’m still setting the glove in the middle the ball’s then going middle and then they have a chance to get a hit so going to make some adjustments and target middle on the first pitch but after the first pitch regardless if it’s 10 or 01 and move the glove to the corners try to be a little bit more out of the middle so that my misses maybe just get me to 20 cuz it really doesn’t matter if I go 1 if I go 203 0 it doesn’t change anything like they still hit four something against me so it’s it’s really just the game of like the first pitch if I can throw strike one great if I throw ball one it’s almost like the bat’s over and they’re going to get hit anyway so makes no difference if I throw a striking battle back the other problem I’m having right now is that I cannot fall asleep at night i haven’t able to sleep for the last like 2 or 3 weeks feel like I have some sort of insomnia and I can’t figure it out i’ve tried everything i’ve tried being consistent with routine being inconsistent with routine i’ve tried breathing i’ve tried relaxation in my shift wave chair i’ve tried listening to YouTube videos not listening to YouTube videos i’ve tried watching a show before bed not watching a show before bed i’ve tried hot shower before bed no hot shower before bed like last night I was in bed at 11:15 i didn’t fall asleep till 1:45 or 2 so I get like 6 hours of sleep i got a pounding headache today i don’t know what it feels like being hung over but I imagine this is what it feels like i should be recovering way better especially after not even throwing 100 pitches last game oh man now some good things are my command is really good of all my pitches i still haven’t given up a splitter hit this year my stuff is really good and I’m healthy so that’s all good stuff i’ve also got extremely unlucky so far all the homers are coming at the exact wrong time and I’m giving up a lot of homers which I shouldn’t be so I imagine all this stuff will balance out over the course of the year i’m hoping anyway average VO’s there my top end vo has not been there so hoping to get that back soon some humidity and heat would help but the goal of this cycle is the same get my fingertips through the ball okay yeah okay cutter’s dialed actually I need to get through one more like aggressively get through it to feel that now see there’s the hole in the cutter when I try to like get through it I take my upper body forward first don’t do that into the backside just finish aggressively late like that despite my terrible outing last night the team did come back and win so we took the first game of the series unfortunately we dropped today’s game so we fell to 1817 and three on the season and to make matters worse I again was not able to sleep which led me to bullpen day feeling like crap what is going on with my sinuses i can’t move without them hurting well it’s bullpen day got some sinus problems going on my left sinus whenever I run I get like pain in my teeth like nervy pain in my teeth and like behind my eye socket right here and it’s got to be related to why I can’t sleep at night every time I lay down my sinuses swell shut so I think the highest sleep score I’ve gotten in the last like 3 weeks is like an 81 it’s probably why my body feels so run down and tired probably why my mood is off too i haven’t been happy in a long time cuz I can’t sleep there’s a stupid sign of stuff that I can’t figure out plan for today anyway is to throw a bullpin keep the pitches short intensity high just like last time because I felt really good for the game just work on being on the corners and try to focus on getting my fingers through the ball today same thing as I have been make sure I’m getting the ball down in the pen i want to make sure my fast balls are down in the zone i don’t have any problem throwing up in the zone when I want to go there but a lot of my pitches been ending at like middle so they’re not true up or true down so that’s the focus on the fast ball and then the splitter and the cutter have to be down so I just need to grip the ball think like I’m just making an athletic throw like I’m not pitching the ball to the location or trying to command it i’m just like throwing it to the location it’s a different mindset cuz recently when I’ve been throwing splitters or cutters or stuff I’m like “Oh I’m throwing a cutter i got to get it to a spot.” And then my mechanics and my intent changes if we had the radar gun today I’m just going to see if I can throw how hard I can throw those make sure to set my eyes on the target first of course and hopefully that breaks the mindset of like oh I’m just commanding it see if I can’t get rid of this governor that I have on me where I can’t throw hard okay now grip splitter and just throw it hard yeah for all my pitchers out there we all want to throw harder i mean everyone knows if you’re not throwing mid90s now you’re basically invisible but here’s the thing there’s a lot of bad information out there that’ll just completely waste your time or even worse get you hurt and I don’t want you to fall into that trap which is why this QR code is on the screen right now scan it or click the link in the description to join the ultimate pitching program and I’ll personally build you a throwing program that’ll help you throw harder with less pain and better command that might seem impossible but more than half the people on this program are reporting those types of results it’s working for your competitors right now and it’ll work for you too but only if you sign up because your competition already has a head start and you’re falling behind anyway time to get back to my throwing program plan here is to mix up wind up and stretch randomly back and forth and just throw random pitches to random spots focusing on throwing all of them hard hitting spots keeping the volume low start off in the windup we’ll do fast ball down away nope 0 for one ball’s too high now we’re going to go back door sweeper 0 for two better effort though i threw that hard now we’re going stretch splitter one for three now we’ll go quick pitch fast ball nope one for four get the ball down Trevor curve ball for a strike i have a pause one for six so I think that was a really good bullpen i threw intensely my mechanics got off on a couple pitches i could feel it i was trying not to think about that just look at the glove and throw hard to it fast ball height was still a little bit up early in the pen made some good adjustments getting that down splitter was good intentwise everything else was pretty good this whole like actually hitting the glove when you throw at it thing is new for me i usually miss by 6 or 8 in but I’m actually pretty much on the glove left to right my height is a little bit off but I’m not missing like arm side when I try to go glove side or down and glove side when I try to go arm side everything is pretty in the lane it’s just height is a little bit off so definitely can make an adjustment on where I target do that it’s really weird righties are killing me this year and it’s so backwards normally lefties hit me better than righties cuz I have really good wipeout stuff to righties and I get them to swing at sweepers off the plate but no one swings at those here i need to throw splitters and curve balls which is different for me i’m killing lefties lefties are not hitting me but righties are destroying me some good mental adjustments to make but anyway pen felt good i’m going to get some running in hopefully like getting my heart rate up will help clear this sinus stuff it didn’t workout for the day we got a static 90 side hold right here 15 second hold got to make sure that those obliques stay strong i haven’t had any problems with them recently but don’t want to have any problems with them so we got a split squat trying to drive as much force through the ground with the front foot as possible move the weight as fast as possible focusing on the concentric portion of this so going down touching the knee and exploding out got a split stance single arm military press we’re focusing on upward rotation of the scap right there this one’s more about control not as much about explosiveness trying to set the scap in the right position get that upward rotation so that it protects my shoulder long term i’m supposed to have an assisted lunge jump to go with the split squat but I don’t have any way of assisting with a band here so we’re just going to do lunge jumps last thing we got for today is a bird dog row left leg back right arm here try to stabilize the core and pull and a reminder on this one that it’s very easy to go here and when you pull just let your shoulder roll forward so you’re trying to pull with the scap first and then the lat so your shoulder maintains a nice position so you don’t want to do this you want to pull scap first and then lat so my body was in good shape i was happy with my bullpen but that night my sleep score plummeted hrv dropped resting heart rate elevated body temperature elevated and I knew exactly what that meant oh well I’m sick again feels like for the last four starts I’ve just been like getting sick the day before my start i think it’s all the same thing it’s like head cold thing that I have that I haven’t been able to kick it’s been really hard to get in any sort of rhythm this year so far normally my resting heart rate at night is like 46 48 61 last night normally my HRV is like 75 80 it’s 38 all the warning signs in my my A or Ring dashboard were like high risk warning you’re sick the good news is being outside in the sun actually probably helps me feel a little bit better so hopefully that comes out tomorrow too and I feel better for my game t-spine rotation feels okay that’s good shoulder feels okay how was it how’s the splitter curve ball yeah everything was good i don’t have any data there’s no Trackman or Filo or anything yeah like last time you know you talked about you know how you set things up with Shion i was going to talk to him today about some of the changes that we talked about we already we already connected in the locker room i just don’t know if he’s going to be done with VP before I have to go to the doctor for as shitty as I feel I think that’s about the best catch game I could have hoped for today very low intent hard to do my mechanics right at low intent but I felt like I got my fingers through the ball so I mean hopefully I can sleep a little bit tonight and feel better tomorrow part of the job sometimes you got to pitch when you feel like crap so talk to the media a little bit i think really what I need to do is I need to hydrate a lot today so I’m going to go drink some water make sure I’m in bed i want to sit in the sauna maybe I can sweat some of this out and then we’ll go see the doctor here in a couple couple hours hopefully it’ll help for my next start cuz this whole not being able to sleep for like four starts straight is really shitty so off to the doctor now they did something I’ve never had done before they stuck a tube up my nose like into the back of my sinuses yeah it had a camera on it they could see what’s going on up there it had a little light on it too which is kind of weird cuz I could see light coming from like inside my head behind my eyeballs it was really weird not something I really want to do again but as soon as it got up there the doctor was like “Oh yeah i know exactly what you have.” So he stuck another tube up there and like suctioned everything out and it was like really ah I can’t even think about it it just like felt terrible having like stuff poked in your sinuses and stuff sucked out really weird feeling i’m getting like ugh I can’t think about it anyway the team picked up another win to move our record to 2017 and three maki Miyazaki and Tyler Austin homerred was a great night for them k picked up another win so tomorrow it was my turn apparently I have sinocitis and allergic renitis i had a terrible night’s sleep last night i think I got a fever you can see here this uh my body temperature is up by 4.3° which is not good my readiness today my average readiness is 83 today it is a uh 37 i can breathe through my nose again so the suctioning seem to have helped uh it is clogged up though so some mucus starting to come back i got like a whole bunch of pills there’s like seven different things some of them this bag here with all sorts of different pills in it and the game is in uh 5 and 1/2 hours so this is the uh the crappy part of the job that a lot of people don’t know about players play sick or injured all the time time to start flipping my mindset into uh game mode I guess whatever game mode I have in me today nice day no rain i’ve turned my Terot Terror balls upside down hoping for rain tonight but not going to get bailed out with that so mainly I just want to get a win so we can keep winning we’re only like a game and a half or two games back of first place right now so team’s doing well and I need to contribute to that who knows maybe I’ll just be spaced out mentally enough that uh things will go well that’s what we have to hope for first up is Okobayashi and I started him off with a fast ball right down the middle he generally doesn’t swing first pitch of the bat so I felt pretty safe tried to throw a splitter down and away and I missed a little bit in but what I noticed about this is it had really good depth and I was really happy about that cuz like okay now I have a pitch that I know is moving well tonight that I can go to so 1-1 I came right back with it threw it for a strike and got a foul ball to take a pretty dominant position as a bat at one and then I tried to get a fast ball by him up and in i let the ball run back over the middle and he does slap it the other way right to my third baseman but unfortunately the ball kind of ate him up and it’s an error to lead off the game which is not what I needed when I was sick but mentally I was just like you know what I want to throw strike one and execute quality pitches that’s the goal and anything that happens happens like I just need to focus on that cuz I feel like crap so man on first lead off the game up next is a two-hole hitter Tanaka so he hits this ball directly to my third baseman which should be an easy double play but because my second baseman was shifted over it took him a long time to get to second base so I end up getting one out which is fine i get an out man on first still have a double play option so that brings Ubayashi to the plate they’re a three-hole hitter first pitch cutter in he’s kind of sitting in that middle speed looking for something in i figured I’d come back with a splitter down and away unfortunately I missed my spot and it was up but I do get the swing kind of an awkward swing on it and I go to 02 i figured I’d throw a curveball right out of the same tunnel and break it in the dirt i try that and I almost get the swing i was like “Okay I’ll go right back to it.” I get almost the exact same reaction on the second pitch the only difference is the runner was able to advance this time my catcher did a great job of blocking both of those pitches unfortunately like when you throw a ball that far in the dirt there’s not much the catcher can do to block it get up and then still throw the guy out so I decided to go back to the curve ball a third time which probably was too many we end up in a 3-2 count here but I decided to go back to the splitter looked like a strike and was nasty dropped right below the zone great execution and I get the strike out there’s a little foul tip on it and Sean does a great job of kind of like scooping it out and catching it clean to record the strikeout so fourhole hitter coming up two outs man on second i can probably get out of this inning without giving up a run which would be huge to get around that error we got Vosler first pitch we try to go fast ball up and I missed the zone a little bit to fall behind 1 so I tried to throw a curveball that started above that fast ball get him to take it and then drop it in the zone unfortunately I just missed down a little bit so I went to the splitter and I threw a pretty good one down and away from him and I get a pop up to end the inning so all in all for feeling bad in the first inning and being sick like I’ll take that even with the error minimize number of pitches and get away with a zero we didn’t score in the bottom of the first so I took the mound for the top of the second in a 000 game with Kaliste the five hole hitter at the plate there’s not much to say about this at bat i missed badly with a sweeper and I came back with it throw a much better one on the second pitch he hit it off the end of the bat and I get a quick out looper to my second baseman so I’ll take that that brings up the six-hole hitter Ityama and I decided to throw a fast ball and get ahead force the action early if he hits it probably going to be an out and yeah it was not an out he hit it out of the ballpark i didn’t think he got it that well but snuck into the first row not great but again I wasn’t getting bothered by this i was like “Okay just keep executing throw another first pitch strike on the next hitter.” And that’s exactly what I did to the seven-hole hitter Yam Moto first pitch fast ball and he hits it decently well but right to my third baseman who makes a nice play and I record a first pitch out so that brought up the eight-hole hitter Usami i decided to mix up the pitches and throw a first pitch cutter and I do get the swing and he doesn’t hit it well but he does bloop it in for a hit so three consecutive first pitch strikes swung at and two of them go for hits which is very unlikely but I wasn’t worried about it in this situation because the pitcher was on deck so I threw him a first pitch fast ball for a strike followed by another fast ball that kind of ran in on him and I get a terrible swing and a little weak grounder to second for an out and to get out of the inning so giving up a run here not great but it’s a solo homer and if that’s all I give up I’m still feeling all right my body still felt terrible though and we didn’t score in the bottom of the second so I took him out in the top of the third down one to nothing back to the top of the order with Okabayashi and I start off with a first pitch cutter which I missed with and I just decided to come right back with it and he got really good wood on this and I’m not used to him hitting the ball for power this direction he got it up in the windstream and hits off the top of the wall for a double definitely surprised me a little bit fortunately it wasn’t a homer but I’m just not used to seeing him have power that direction so Tanaka at the plate first pitch bunt although this time it looked like he was going to hit and then he tried to bunt for a base hit so definitely trying to make some stuff happen and use his speed the fast ball away tunnel set up a great tunnel for a sweeper which I tried next and I don’t really get much of a budge out of him i come back with a 1-1 curve ball and I see the exact same reaction i missed the zone by a couple inches so 2-1 I went back to the pitch that I knew was working well for me threw him a splitter and I get a ground ball to second base so that brings up the three-hole hitter Ubashi now normally in this situation I’d be super competitive with a guy on third and like I absolutely need a strike out but I didn’t really have that in me energy-wise at this point so I lead him off with a curveball and he’s out in front of it and kind of pulls it foul second pitch high fast ball and I get a swing out of the zone and after that I was like well there’s no reason to go away from it so I get a three pitch K and now I’m like okay great i can get out of this inning just need an out here and we’ll keep this at zero so that brings up the four-hole hitter Vosler lead him off with a curve ball and I get the same kind of like half reaction that I got in the first at bat i come back with another curve ball and get the exact same reaction out of him again on that pitch and this time it’s a strike so 1-1 I decided to go to fast ball above the zone hit my target exactly like literally the perfect pitch and he crushed it unfortunately this ball didn’t go out it hits right off the top of the wall for another double and scores another run that brings up the five hole hitter Kaliste i start him off with a sweeper away and I come back with a curveball and he hits it off the end of the bat for a fly ball to center and I’m out of the inning two runs but if I can keep it there and get through seven innings it’ll still be a successful outing bottom of the third brought up my first at bat of the game i took the first pitch for a strike fast ball away and then I swung it what I thought was a fast ball away and hit a terrible little weak ground ball and didn’t really even have the energy to run it out cuz I was just out i think only uh Yas Pig has shown less effort out of the box than that but yeah I was not feeling well that at bat seemingly kind of woke my body up because going out for the fourth I actually had a little bit more energy and maybe I was getting a second wind or maybe just having my heart rate up for a while was kind of flushing out whatever was in my head and I don’t know I started feeling a little bit better for the fourth that brings up the six-hole hitter Etayyama i started off with a splitter yanked it a little bit inside but I followed up with a great splitter 1 to get to 1 came back with a curveball and got another swing and a miss so I would decide to repeat that one two barely fouled it off just spoil that i tried to go back to the change up but we’re just going to ignore that pitch it was just bad don’t don’t remember that just completely forget about it so I tried to get a fast ball by him in and he’s laid on it and fouls it off i threw a curveball right out of the same tunnel bounced it and I got the swinging miss that I was looking for to record another strike out so that brings up the seven hole hitter Yamamoto i start him off with a sweeper down and away for strike one followed by a freeze fast ball down and away to get to 02 now I try to use that fast ball down the way tunnel and throw a split below the zone centered on the plate but we’re going to ignore that pitch too i figured if I threw a big curveball maybe he’d take it he has this kind of late emergency swing and fouls it off and then I was like “All right I’ll use that curveball tunnel i’ll go fast ball up and away.” Usually when I throw this pitch it’s just like a fly ball to right if they hit it at all but he found the gap for a double and again I’m in trouble but I do have one out and I have the eight and nine-hole hitters up so if I can get Usami out in the eighth hole then I’ll have the pitcher on deck and I should be able to get out of this inning unscathed so first pitch curve ball strike and he has a really good swing at it he just misses it and pulls it foul and I tried to follow it up with a splitter but I overcorrected the last two splitters I spiked so this one I was like “Okay just get in the zone.” And I left it high and armside but I go back to the curve ball and he absolutely smokes it it wasn’t that bad of a pitch but 106 off the bat and my center fielder makes an absolutely incredible play to save me a run and get me an out fantastic play really great read on the ball and great effort to lay out for that if that ball gets by him it’s probably a triple and a run so I’m glad he caught it uh and now I have the pitcher up to get out his inning and he’s not very good hitter so this should be piece of cake i missed with the first pitch fast ball to fall behind 10 and then I thought my catcher called a sweeper so that’s what I threw he thought he called a fast ball i probably missed that cuz I was kind of out of it mentally this game but luckily we got the strike call uh and no one got hurt 1-1 i decided to just challenge him with fast balls but I missed and then I missed again and then I missed again to walk the pitcher with two outs i was not mad about anything in this game really i didn’t have the energy to be but this I was a little bit mad and I was like you got to be freaking kidding me what are you doing just throw the fast ball in the zone that brings up the top of the order in Okabayashi so I start him off with a back door sweeper followed by a curveball that he swings and misses at and I was like “All right just bounce this curveball he’ll swing at it.” it yeah you wasted some pitches but you’ll get on out of there and this will be a zero he hit it on a line for a hit to score another run and that hurts i’m just in bad shape right here i was like I have to get this guy out so I put all my focus on getting the next guy out and ending this inning so I start off to knock the two-hole hitter with a bad sweeper followed by a really good back door splitter to get to 1-1 and then I throw him 96 kind of right down the middle and he’s super late on it so I chose to go with the sweeper down and away and I hung it right in the middle of the zone at the top after that I was like “Okay you’ve seen up sweeper tunnel it kind of stayed up i’m going to throw you up curveball tunnel and break it down into the dirt and get you to swing over the top of it.” And somehow even though he was super choked up on the bat he’s able to reach out there and just put the ball in play he hit it about 60 mph and somehow found a hole about an inch past my second baseman’s glove and this one just was an absolute gut punch my second baseman was shifted a little bit up the middle he did everything he could to get to it it’s not his fault just this ball happens to go in the one place on the field that it could possibly be a hit and it’s now 4 nothing and I was just feeling so defeated and snake bitten at this time but I still have to get out of this inning and I can’t let this inning spiral and we have the three-hole hitter at the plate ubashi so I got to get him out here first pitch splitter for a strike followed by a fast ball down and in that he was late on i went with the splitter i tried to get it below the zone but the command of this pitch kind of left me in this inning so it’s high in armside and he fouls it off i decide to then use that tunnel to throw a fast ball up and in try to get it by him and he pops this one up but just foul and now I decide to go back to the splitter and this splitter is even worse than the one before but I get the strike out however I do give up two runs and that’s four runs through four innings and I’m feeling very defeated we don’t score again in the bottom of the fourth so I take them out at the top of the fifth at 4 nothing deficit with the middle of the order oler up i’m at 68 pitches through four if I can have a couple quick innings maybe I can get through seven seven and four wouldn’t be terrible eight and four wouldn’t be terrible but I got to get some more innings in for this game i got to try to keep us in this game to let the offense have a chance to come back and try to win so first pitch to Oaso i decided to go with the back door cutter he hadn’t seen that pitch yet and I do get a first pitch pop-up which is a great way to start this inning so next up is Kiste now I went first pitch fast quick pitch here i tried the back door splitter and missed a little bit so I came back with it 1-1 and I get a weak little grounder foul I decided to go with the sweeper breaking it the opposite way i left it in a hitable location but because it was slower than the pitches before and had the opposite movement he hits it off the end of the bat and I get a quick out on a ground out uh-oh I throw a splitter and I thought it was a strike live really good pitch i guess if it missed the zone it missed by like half a ball width or something one I come back with a splitter and get the strike call kind of a front hip splitter and then I come back with a back door sweeper that again I thought was a strike i guess if it missed the zone it missed by like half an inch or something i tried the two-1 splitter down and away and missed terribly and now I’m just annoyed with myself i’m like “All right Trevor like you got two outs nobody on just make him hit the ball don’t walk this guy last thing you want is a two-out walk and then a double for a run.” And then it’s just a mess so 3-1 i was like I got to challenge him with a fast ball and he hit it pretty well and missed a double by about an inch come back with that same back door sweeper have an emergency swing to slap a foul and then I go back to the splitter just trying to throw it for a strike it wasn’t the best splitter but it got enough depth to it that it got under his bat for a strike out unfortunately there was another quick inning for the base stars in the bottom of the fifth so I take the mountain to the top of the six down four to nothing still so first pitch cutter top of the zone i get the strike call followed by a freeze curveball to get to 02 after seeing the cutter hang in the zone I’ll throw a sweeper off the plate but again I don’t really get a budge out of him so here I decided to go with a back door splitter but fortunately for him it goes foul i decided to go fast ball up and in try to back him off the plate freeze fast ball take for a strike out so that brings up the three-hole hitter Usami now I tried the back door sweeper and I guess I missed the zone down by a little bit here so we fall behind 10 then I cross the movement splitter is going to move the opposite way and I throw a really good one a lot of good depth a lot of good run to it for strike one and here I go with a little hesitation leg kick and he’s a little bit late on it and misses it but you can tell he’s like “Ah man I missed that pitch i missed it like I was on it.” So I come back with a splitter off of that same tunnel and I executed it perfectly perfect tunnel perfect execution on this at bat and we get the strike out and that brings up the nine-hole hitter the pitcher and I was not going to make the mistake of throwing balls and walking him again so I threw him three straight fast balls clearly up four nothing he had no intention of swinging here with two outs and nobody on so I get a strikeout to end the sixth overall it was pretty frustrating night for me i feel like I pitched better than giving up four runs i thought I executed very well and the numbers show that this was actually my second best execution game of the entire year after last game where I gave up six runs so at this point nothing was really making any sense but the offense did do a good job of coming back at the end of eight innings it was tied 55 unfortunately we gave up a homer in the top of the ninth and weren’t able to score in the bottom so we lose the game six to five if I was able to just strike the pitcher out and not give up those two runs we’d probably win so that’s an extra little gut punch there but I had a feeling before this game I was about to go on a really good run and then I got sick so hopefully next game when I’m not sick I’ll start seeing the beginnings of that run make sure you subscribe to the channel so you don’t miss it i’ll see you guys in the next one
