On June 3, Tohoku Rakuten and Yokohama DeNA lost 3-6 to Tohoku Rakuten in the first round of the “Japan Life SEPA Exchange Match 2025” held on Rakuten Mobile Park Miyagi.
Tohoku Rakuten starter pitcher Yahoole gave up three consecutive hits to Austin, Keita Sano, and Hidego Maki in the first inning before allowing Toshiro Miyazaki to open the scoring on a grounder. In the top of the fourth, Yahoo pitcher pinch-hit on back-to-back singles by Miyazaki and Yoshitomo Tsutsuka, and scored one run on a sacrifice fly by Takaki Dokai, but in the bottom of the fourth, with one out and one out, Soyama hit an RBI single from third base to send the game back to square one.
Yahoole pitcher got some relief, but he was pulled in the top of the fifth inning with two outs and bases loaded on hit and two Walk and a Walk out. Yahoo pitcher went 4.2 innings with 6 hit 1 strike out 4 Walk 4 runs on 81 pitches to earn his first win since transferring. Muneyama recorded 1 hit 2 RBI and Komori recorded 2 hit 1 RBI.
