LAKERS ARE BACK!!!: Lakers vs T-Wolves 7:30 p.m. PT
Now That Is Seriously Epic with Malika Nichols: The Los Angeles Lakers play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
Finally, the NBA preseason is here, and it will give people a first glimpse at how the Lakers will look under new head coach JJ Redick and his new method of operation. While the Lakers’ roster is almost the same as it was when they lost in the first round of last season’s playoffs, there is some hope that it will be utilized better than it was last season when they finished 47-35.
They did win 23 of their last 33 games of the regular season, which roughly coincides with when they settled on a starting lineup of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura.
The Timberwolves just executed a major trade that sent All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks for former Lakers forward Julius Randle, wing Donte DiVincenzo, and a first-round draft pick. They went to the Western Conference Finals in May, and this deal will surely be a shake-up for a team that seems to have championship aspirations.
Last season, Minnesota won the season series against the Lakers three games to one.
