去年はメッツで大きな怪我無く一年通して先発として投げ抜いた千賀滉大投手。
ナリーグの新人王の最終候補者になり2位となるなど素晴らしいシーズンを送りました。
その千賀投手が会見でインタビューを受け今シーズンに対する意気込みや、メッツが山本由伸投手の獲得を逃したことやチームメイトとなった藤浪投手について聞かれていました。
去年はチームの柱であり千賀投手にとっても精神的支柱のシャーザー投手やバーランダー投手が急に去ることになり、大きな戸惑いがあったと思われますが初年度からエース級の立場となり一年を投げ抜いた千賀投手。
メッツが本格的にチャンピオンを目指すのは来年以降となるようですが、藤浪投手もチームメイトになり過ごしやすいシーズンとなるでしょう。
山本投手はメッツも有力先候補として噂されたこともあり、メディアも山本投手については気になっていたようですね。
来シーズンはエースとしてプレッシャーも大きくなると思いますが今シーズン以上の活躍を期待します。

Having that one year under my belt I was able to know what I what exactly I needed to work on what was that I think you on That one clear thing was the difference between pitching at home and on the road and that’s something that I was working on this offseason and progressing now too and then how comfortable do you feel with your mix and how it evolved over the course of last season now coming into spring pitch mix
It really is a mix because I’m throwing a lot I threw a lot less fast balls last year compared to the year prior um so making sure all my pitches are a tier and better and also the fork ball is obviously the best pitch but and all the
Hitters know and I need to make sure that I throw a fork ball that’s even better than what they expect uh just wondering how many times you maybe spoke to Yamamoto in the off season and didn’t did you think there was a chance he was coming to the
Mets obviously it was hard to say whether he was going to come to the Mets or not but I mean I was all over the news that he was meeting a bunch of different teams and you know I’m just I’m happy that he made the best decision
For himself and hope for the best for him what do you think about having Yamamoto and Otani both both on the Dodgers and how how how formidable does that make them With them being in the same national league and not only them twoo but they have a stared team so I just need to make sure that I perform at the highest level to you know beat them what is your expectation in terms of how the Mets will use you regarding extra days of
Rest the type of thing you got a lot last year Obviously we don’t know how the schedule’s going to pan out with off days or Road days whatnot um but whether it’s short rest or long rest I plan to be ready for anything that comes my way hey c i uh last summer of course Mets traded Justin berlander and Max treasure
Now uh this winter the manager and the GM who recruited you are no longer here uh what impact have those changes had on the way that you view the organization and obviously it we just started today so it’s hard to say but with the new

Starter as opposed to last year when you were new to the league and you were just a rookie in this in this league For I think the fact that I’m getting these types of questions means that some other people out there might think of me that way but that was a result of me just staying healthy and running through the season last season um and and I plan to do no different just staying healthy
