On the 10th, Nippon-Ham announced that they had agreed to a contract extra inning with player Ariel Martínez (29) for the 2026 season.
Martinez commented through the team, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all The Fighters fans and everyone associated with the team for their support and trust. I am proud to be able to compete as a part of this team in the 2026 season. I will continue to do my best for The Fighters with passion and responsibility in my heart. I will continue to work hard every day so that the team can achieve its goal of becoming the best in Japan and make all fans proud of The Fighters. Let’s all make this the best year ever.”
On the same day, Nippon-Ham also announced that it had agreed to a contract extra inning with Franmil Reyes for the 2026 season.
