The Red Sox are throwing their number six prospect straight into the fire for his MLB debut tonight. Lefty pitcher Connelly Early, who was just drafted last year, is getting the call up after dominating the Miners with a 2.60 ERA. The move is happening because the scheduled starter Dustin May is expected to land on the injured list. Early isn’t known as a strikeout artist, but he just fanned a career-high 10 batters in his last start.
