Napoli enjoyed a long period at the top of Italian football, but their fall after years at the summit marked a radical turning point in the club’s history. What is Napoli’s story, and how did they literally return from nothing to glory? With Maradona at the end of the 1980s and beginning of the 1990s, Napoli achieved the best period in its history, winning five titles, including two league titles, one Italian Cup, and one Italian Super Cup, in addition to the most important title in the club’s history on the European and international level, the UEFA Cup, now known as the Europa League.
