Smoothest Infielder in Baseball History?
Brandon Phillips was one of the most underrated infielders of all time. In 2011, on a ground ball hit to second, Phillips made a through the legs flip to first that just made it in time. With a fast runner at the plate, this was likely the only way to get the out. In the 2013 World Baseball Classic, Phillips made an incredible diving stop and threw from the ground to get the runner at first. Brandon Phillips turned dozens of insane double plays, but in 2013, he bare-handed a ball on second and while on his knees, threw it to first for the double play. After making tons of plays like this, Phillips ended up winning four Gold Glove Awards.
