「朗希ヤバいだろ!こっちのチームで本当に良かったよ」歓喜のシャンパンファイトでロウキコールの大合唱w 敵将も佐々木に賛辞「本当に素晴らしかったよ」【日本語字幕】

Fore [Music] Standing. Fore! Foreign! Foreign! [Music] [Music] We welcome you. Hi everybody. Great to have you with us from Dodger Stadium. I’m Brian Anderson with Jeff Rancor. We’ll hear from Lauren Shahadi in just a moment. Phillies finally get on the board and Frenchie the road team has won every game in this series. Now the Phillies feel like they have things turned in their favor. Big story for the Dodgers offensively, Shi Otani. And for more on that, we check in with Lauren Shahad. Hi Lauren. Hi Brian. He’s the best player on any field anywhere. But even global superstars struggle once in a while. One hit, seven strikeouts this series for Show Otani. So I asked Dave Roberts, “What do you notice?” He said he’s just flying so open at the plate. He’s not giving himself any opportunity to take advantage of those misses and those lefties with that lower threearter arm angle. Give him fits, Brian and Jev. So, enter Christopher Sanchez. He said, “I told him just be patient.” Rob Thompson was asked, “Are you excited about the way you’re facing show?” He said, “Uh-uh. I am not talking about that one bit. I do not want to wake the unicorn.” So, we are ready to go on a beautiful California day. You got Otani coming up to the plate. I know he’s one for 17 with 8Ks this postseason. And this will be the sign of ultimate respect right here. And they’re going to put him on. Can’t blame him. No. There is some history, too. Remember that game I told you about in July when Don was a twin and he went multiple innings? Otani hit a two-run homer off Duron in that game. I get it. And like you said, you can look at the numbers all you want, but I got to tell you right here, I agree with Rob Thompson. So it puts Mookie Betts on center stage. Base is loaded. Two outs. Dodgers down one- nothing. High stress pitches. Full count. Two outs. Runner started up and it is ball four. And this game is tied. It’s a bases loaded walk. That run belongs to Sanchez and the presence of Otani despite being 1 for 17 in this series. [Music] And rookie Sasaki is back on the mound. He’ll start his third inning. Frenchie has been very efficient in this one. He’s thrown just 18 pitches to get through six consecutive outs. He is just torn strikes right now. Whether it’s that fast ball or splitter fast everybody’s laid splitter, they’re just so out in front. Sasaki deals a one, two. Cast on the ground. They have a man right there. Perfectly positioned. Muny with a strong throw. John caught up to the analytics team there playing no doubles and Castanos is out number one and it’s seven in a row for Sasaki. Here’s another 2-2 Scott. Did he go? He did. It’s a strike out for Sasaki. [Applause] Cannot overstate how Sasaki’s impact right now changes everything for the Dodgers. So many concerns and questions about their bullpen and Sasaki is eliminating all of that right now. Just look at all that movement. Eight up and eight down here in this 10th inning. The 3-1 Turner a swing of a miss. Full countdown. Tripledigit fast ball from Sasaki. Turner into right field and Hernandez makes the play. Inning is over. One, two, three for Sasaki. Nine in a row for Roki. We go to the bottom of the 10th. No balls in a strike. Pahes breaks his bat. Kirk Ring got to find it. Throws to the plate. Oh my goodness. He throws it away and the Dodgers have won. The Dodgers win and they are moving on to the NLCS [Applause] and a most improbable finish. Pandemonium at Dodger Stadium and your heart breaks for Ryan Kirkering. The Dodgers are moving on as we send it down to Lauren Shahadi. Andy Pah, congratulations. And his interpreter, Juan, I saw you on the on deck circle kind of take the moment in. What were you telling yourself? Yeah, just getting ready for that moment, you know, that knew that one of those that moment was going to come to me and just being prepared for that moment in that situation. What did you see from your vantage point on that hit to the pitchers? [Applause] Yeah, I just try to hit the ball forward, you know, and I saw the play a little bit unfold and when I saw him throw it to home, I knew that it was it wasn’t going to be a good play. So, did you think it was coming to first? Yeah, I thought he was going to throw first, but when I saw him throw it to home, I kind of had a feeling that the game was over. I just saw all your teammates hug you. What did they say to you, Andy? Yeah, they’ve been supportive the whole time, you know, through this bad rut. And they told me that this moment was going to happen for me, and luckily it did. Happened. Congratulations and the moment is yours, Andy. Brian, Dodgers celebrate. Thank you, Lauren. And Kim comes across that plate. He missed it. Yeah, you did see him scramble it. And obviously, you’re not going to have anybody behind the plate at that point. But again, I can just say this. Pressure does crazy things. This game does crazy things. And Orion Kirkering has made that play a thousand times since he was 5 years old in spring training every day. And you know, again, I’ll just say this. Congrats to the Dodgers. You just hate to see a game end that way, right? It was pitched so well tonight. It was a classic game. It was It had all the makeup of one of those classics and you just want to wrap your arms around Orion Kirkering. I mean, that is something that he will think about for a long, long time. He’s a great young pitcher and you hope he comes back and has a great long career. He’s a guy you’re going to root for for the rest of his career after that. But he just forgot how many outs. And I thought it was great. Rob Thompson waited at the dugout and hung and and hugged his righty. But again, congrats to the Dodgers. We’ve seen Alex, this game was insane. Started with Tyler Glass. Now he was incredible just on the mount. How did he set the tone? That he was awesome tonight. I mean 97 to 99. I mean he was unreal. Unreal. kept us in it all the way to the six and then you know bullpen to took over Roki Roi three innings. I mean we we needed him big time and and I’m so happy for him. I’m so happy for him. So um this was a a team win. Everybody everybody chipped in. Everybody did what they needed to do. This is awesome. This is really cool. Roki, what a night for you. What a postseason for you. What does it mean to you to be such a big contributor tonight and in this series? [Music] [Applause] [Music] Now, first of all, I’m really glad that I’m healthy and be able to perform. And, you know, I’m really support, you know, I’m really thankful for all the support staff, all the people who really supported the way during my rehab progression. And most of all, just all the coaching staff from, you know, top to bottom organizationally. They’ve been such a help to me. and they’re the reason why I’m back here. Roki, how have you been able to embrace this role and be so dominant? [Music] [Music] Yeah, my fastball field is up. My splitter feels really good. So, I’ve been able to attack the zone. Congratulations. Go get some champagne. Thank you, Rob. Obviously, heartbreaking way to lose. looked like you had a long conversation with Orion coming off the field. Do you want to share a little what you told him or? Uh just to keep his head up. You know, he just got caught up in the moment a little bit. Um you know, he coming down the stretch there. He pitched so well for us and it’s um you I feel I feel for him because he’s he’s putting it all on his shoulders, but we win as a team and we lose as a team. So, how impressive was Sasaki for the Dodgers? And uh were you surprised at all that he went out there for a third inning? No, not really. I mean, he’s been starting. He’s been lengthened out. When you get into these games, you know, you got to do some things that are a little unconventional. And uh yeah, he was really good. Really good. Robbie, take us back to the I think it was the seventh inning, the decision to obviously Otani’s great. Intentionally walk him, then load the bases. Um and then Durant walks the guy. any concern about I know sometimes you don’t like to walk intentionally walk the bases loaded because it doesn’t leave the pitcher a margin for error there. Yeah, that’s uh Don’s first career bases loaded walk. So, I mean, you’re not expecting that and just his ability to throw strikes. Um really wasn’t expecting that. But [Music] [Applause] first off, uh we got to give a lot of props to uh Roi tonight. [Applause] [Music] Chapi chapori chapi chaparoki hey and and then another shout out guys to uh glass [Applause] hey this is uh glass talked about with he and He and I talked that the thing that he was most excited about about being a Dodger was to be able to pitch in big games on the biggest of stages. And tonight Glass, tonight was your moment, man. Um, we we talked about a couple things. Is that when we started this journey in the postseason, I asked for four weeks. Four weeks of committed focus to just winning baseball games and not stop until we finish our job. Right. Two more weeks. Two more weeks. Two more weeks. Let’s celebrate tonight. Let’s celebrate tonight. Don’t lose that edge, fellas. Don’t lose that edge. Let’s keep going. [Applause] here with Freddy Freeman, the anchor of the Dodgers. Without this guy, they are going nowhere. Freddy, just describe what you were seeing in that 11th inning and how you guys pulled this out. Yeah, that was incredible. Uh just grindy at bats. Tommy getting started again. Uh kind of reminds us of last October when he got that huge in the 10th inning of the World Series, game one. So, a lot of great at bats. KK working the walk and that’s what happens when you put the ball play. Good things can happen. Just a great game. Two great teams going at it all series and thankfully we came out. This was all about pitching this series. Yeah. Yeah. I mean they have they have a great pitching staff over there. The reason why they have one of the best teams in baseball and so do we, you know. So we we pitched our butts off today. Uh whole series. Our starting pitching like we’ve been talking about for about a month now has been the anchor of this theme of why we’re going the way we are. And you know, uh, Glass was amazing today. Our bullpen, Roki, I I mean, Roi Suzaki was absolutely incredible. So, Bes, EMTT, everyone. It was, uh, just all around, we needed every single one of the guy, every single guy today. Without Freddy Freeman’s defense, you guys don’t win this either. How are the legs? I mean, they’re really stretched out. They’re good. They’re good. Uh, I’m just happy I was able to part. It was a tough series. Joy and I facing those lefties. Um, those lefties are really, really good over there. So, we were trying to do everything we could to get on base with these righties, but hopefully next year is our series. All right. This game, we knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but it ended in such an insane fashion. How would you just describe how this one came to an end? I don’t think you can. I mean, that game was crazy. That was two teams really, I mean, fighting. I mean, literally fighting. It was like a street fight but a baseball game. And uh I mean fortunately we came out on top. You look at just how you guys were able to attack them. Yes, early it was limited, but how the Tyler Blast now set the tone. What was he able to do in this game four? He was throwing a lot of strikes. I mean, keeping him off balance. I mean, just filling up the zone. I mean, he did exactly what he was supposed to do. We called on him and he delivered. Saw Sanchez in game one. What adjustment did you make to find different ways to get to him? I didn’t. I I didn’t. That’s uh that’s how good he is. I I didn’t I was I able I was able to get a hit, but I mean he pitched an amazing game. I mean he went that’s that was he they called on him and he he delivered as well. You look at this game is this just a kind of an example of how you guys show fight and how you’re going to battle to the very end. Yeah. Uh say it again. Sorry. That’s an example of how you guys show fight and how you’re looking to battle to the very end. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, we obviously don’t want to do that, but I mean, we’re going to fight, man. We’re going to fight. Everybody, every person in here wants to win a World Series, and every person in here is going to do what it takes. And, uh, tonight it took a little dribbler to the pitcher. And Roi Sasaki, Mari Sasaki, how he was able to take down nine outs. Just what was it like playing behind him? Oh, that was amazing. That was fun. That was fun to see where he started and then see him come back and do what he’s doing. I mean, he’s electric and he’ll be uh he’ll play a huge role in in us winning the World Series. Guys that has the reputation of being clutch without him in the 11th inning. The Dodgers are not in that position to win. Just take us through that line of you, Edmmond, Kik, and Pah. Yeah, it was, you know, Lazaro came out of the ben was throwing rockets. Um for me, at least my bat, I was kind of watching what he had done to to the lefties before me and he was uh [Music] and uh you know he was spinning the lefties before me so I was taking a chance on a first pitch slider was still out in front but I was able to get to a big part of the field and that sneak it through the hole. You did you feel like you guys were in a good position because of yourself and the other guys that were coming up. You’ve been there before. You know what it takes. Yeah, I mean we felt good all throughout the lineup. They made they made a lot of really good pitches tonight. Uh that’s a really really good pitching staff over there. You have to give them a little bit of credit. They kept us off balance but uh you know just finding a way to get it done there at the end. Unbelievable. Max, you won two World Series with this team. Does this ever get old? Celebrating every round and celebration. No, it never gets old. Can’t you can’t ever take this for granted. You got to enjoy every second. You’re a little dry. We got to fix that. Maybe I should call somebody over. Oh, save it. Save it, Dave. All right. We are here with Tay Oscar Hernandez. Before we talk about anything else, let me touch the goatee again. Let’s go. Tea Oscar, you were so big from the first game until the last game. How rewarding is you performing on this stage? I mean, uh I I think that was the team effort, uh team credit, the movement today. It was amazing. This guy right here, incredible. Hello. So, you look a little dry. There you go. Oh, baby. That’s not a shirt. There you go, Dave. You know, if we’re ready, we, you know, we want some uh more baseball. Uh we got a lot more baseball to go. Teao, I feel like you guys have accomplished so much, but there are so many doubters still and so many they love you. Your teammates love you. I love them, too. How excited are you to move on to the LCS again? This is why we play this and, you know, uh, exciting game today. Thank god we got the win. So, uh, now focus on the next round. I love that you let people see your eyes. Let it burn. Let’s go. Let’s go, Dodgers. Hey, don’t forget you can’t spell tail. You can’t spell October without tail. There you go. You heard him. Kik, this game was insane. You think about how it came to an end. What was it like just seeing it there from your perspective? How this one came to an end? How was it? Amazing. Um the whole series uh we really had to earn it. We had to earn it. We we did it the the the hard way. Um our pitching, I can’t say enough about our pitching. Our pitching was fantastic. Um our bats uh showed up when we needed to show up in uh in Philly, but we didn’t really do here. And our pitchers kept us in the game. Our pitchers did this. Our pitchers did this. Rookie Suzaki, what he was able to do late in this game, nine outs, nine consecutive outs, I should say. Can you just describe what he was able to do on that mount tonight? It’s unbelievable. I mean, we’re talking a couple two weeks ago. We don’t know if he’s even going to be a part of this. And for him to, you know, show up the way that he showed up, kudos to him. I’m glad he’s on our side. Um, what a talent. That’s all I can say. What a talent. Mookie called this game a dog fight. Obviously, we knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but how does a win like this a win in this series prepare you guys for what for the goal you’re looking to achieve? I think all three I think all three are a testament to what we can accomplish even when we’re not really necessarily playing great baseball. You know, we can still find a way to to figure out a way to win a ball game. And um yeah, I mean, we’re having a lot of fun. I just saw that the Cubs are up three to nothing and so we’ll see who we got to play. But uh for tonight, we’re going to enjoy it. Nobody had it, uh scripted the way that we were going to win this game, but the only thing that matters is that we did. And yeah, congratulations, Kang. Oh, thank you very much. What was the key to locking in inning after inning today, keeping these guys in the game? I think just knowing what I wanted to do to hitters, uh following Trust Will behind there, and just trying to stay in a nice rhythm. Tyler, you were a part of this team a year ago, but now you’re actually playing in the postseason. Tell me what that feels like to be a part of this team right now. It’s amazing. Everything I think just being from here, it’s just is what I’ve dreamed of my whole life and being able to do it tonight was crazy. Say with you in the dugout during the final innings. Yeah. What is that feeling in your stomach? What the feeling in the middle of your stomach? Yeah. It was almost more nerve-wracking to watch and not be able to pitch, you know, like those innings were pretty crazy. Uh but we pulled it out and now we’re popping champagne. What can you rookie saw the job that he did today? How would you describe that? Incredible, man. like he since coming back coming in the bullpen he’s one honestly one of the best pitchers I’ve ever seen like his stuff is incredible he’s locked in around the strike zone for him to start the season how he did and then come back now it’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen this game was a dog bite to the end but it started with a pitcher stool Tyler Glass now Christopher Sanchez Tyler was excellent what were you seeing from him yeah he was great he was getting ahead getting strike one um his fast ball great his curveball really good tonight his slider was good he’s just dominating he getting ahead and putting guys away and uh it was six really good innings. Yeah. Pass through the bullpen. We talk about passing the baton, but what Roki Sasaki was able to do just to take down nine outs the heart of the order. What were you seeing from him and how he just navigated through their lineup? Yeah, that was impressive. Um he started 100, the splitter was nasty, just keeping him off balance, rocking back and forth. Um yeah, he he did not shy from the big moment and uh we needed those three zeros from him. Isn’t that extra? I’m really happy for Rocky. I feel like Rocky, he’s been a guy uh in the first year that he’s been asked for a lot and he’s been working through a lot of things, but I think he find he found a a home in the bullpen and he feels like really confident coming into the game and shutting the door and I feel like I mean the the the performance that he he’s been having ever since we really needed the ball later in the year, it’s been uh really good to see. You g you gave it number 11. So I think you had a special special uh like emotion about him. So what what do you what do you think right now? Whatever make him comfortable and make him do that that he did today and the last couple days uh I will do whatever for my guys. I don’t care you know. I don’t want I don’t want to be the the the the main person in the team. I just I just want to help the team win. And if Rockies keep doing that, number 11 is going to be retired in the Hall of Fame. for [Music] [Music] speech. [Music]
