Five-game winning streak, the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks got off to a blazing start in the first inning. After a walk to Jeter Downs, a double by Kensuke Kondo, and a walk to Hotaka Yamakawa loaded the bases, Tatsuru Yanagimachi opened the scoring with an RBI single! Taisei Makihara followed with another RBI single, then Takashi Umino and Naoki Sato delivered back-to-back RBI hits, capping a five-run first inning! The Hawks’ bats exploded right from the start!
