Rangers Report – June 2025

[Music] Welcome into Rangers Report presented by Chalk Talk Casinos and Resorts. I’m Hannah Wing. June was a solid month for Marcus Simeon, Josh Smith, and Jacob Deg Grom. Texas had two 16-run games, a player of the week nod, and a Rangers Hall of Fame induction for Elvis Andrews. As Texas rounded out the first half of the season, Marcus Simeon was red-hot. He was in the top 10 in the AL for both batting average and OPS, had four homers and 16 RBI. [Music] This ball hit well. A towering shot out to left. It is gone. Simeon’s second home run of the night. The runs kept coming after that. The Rangers scored a whopping 16 runs in two of the three games in Minnesota. In the second big win, the team combined for a season high six home runs. There’s Garcia. A towering shot. A soaring flyball. And that one is long gone. I love a parade. Round and round they go. One of those homers was hit by utility man Josh Smith, who was named the American League Player of the Week in midJune. Smith became the first Ranger to win this award since Marcus Simeon last May. Smith hit .423 with two homers, nine runs scored, and a 500 on base percentage. And Josh Smith, he’s really starting to turn things on. Back track out of here. Smith hammers one to right center. It is gone. Extra bases for Josh Smith. Six straight games with multiple hits for Josh. The Rangers had two walk-offs with El Bombies against the White Socks and Simeons against the Mariners. June 14th marks the sixth walk-off in Garcia’s career. Swinging a hammered ball to center, Robert racing after it. It’s going to fall and the Rangers win. Six career walk-off hit for Adoleis Garcia. On to Baltimore we go. In Jacob Deg Grom’s 16th start of the season, he was back in vintage form, throwing a perfect game through six innings. one back up the middle. Simeon will grab it and go to the bag himself and the inning is done. No hits allowed for Deg Grom. We go to the eighth. Yeah, it was fun. The offense went out and put up runs, had some good defensive plays behind me and, you know, it was just fun to be out there. Congrats to Jacob on becoming a 2025 all-star. We can’t wait to watch him put the tea in ATL. The grand finale in June was a Rangers Hall of Fame ceremony honoring longtime shortstop Elvis Andrews. He became the 27th member of the Rangers Hall of Fame. I’ve been thinking a lot to how I can finish today. So much gratitude uh from me and I find this it does make a difference what you believe because what you believe determine how you behave. So be happy, be joyful, be thankful, and most important, be loved. Thank you very much everyone. God bless you and let’s go Ranger. Let’s win today. Thank you. Congratulations to Elvis and his family. And just like that, we’re on to the second half of the 2025 season. Stay tuned next month to see Jacob Deg Grom take the mound in Atlanta, who the Rangers drafted, and so much more. [Music]
