ゲイリー・シェフィールドがデレク・ジーターとAロッドとのドラマについて本音を語る👀
When I got there, I had a perception of the Yankees that this is this is easy money. Well, look at all these guys on this team and you add me to it, it’s automatic. And when I start seeing the the politicking part of it, the other side, that’s when I said, “Okay, I got it.” Cuz I I’m an observer. I’m the only child. I notice everything and I pay attention. And when I got there, I saw the dysfunction right away. And it came from, you know, I guess A-Rod had made a statement about Jeter a long time ago. You could feel the tension. I mean, every single day you could feel it. So, even to the point where they had to make them go like to have a lunch and try to make it like they was cool was forced. But, as teammates, we knew something was off. And I was just like, man, we got to fix this, you know, like the relationship. And I was thinking, why would they have a bad relationship based on what he said? Mhm. But I could see what, you know, it made Jeta upset and now we’re walking in that as a team and we’re struggling. And when we got A-Rod, they had me hitting fifth. That ain’t my natural position. I should be hitting third because I don’t strike out. And now Joe Tory didn’t talk to me for 2 months when I first got there because he wanted Vladimir Guerrero, which was 5 years younger, which I understood that. But I also told him, you ain’t going to know the difference in the numbers. you know, you can I don’t care how old you is and how old I am, but I’m just telling you straight up because that’s when u the reporters start attacking me, you know, in uh spring training because I I had made a statement, you can write down 300, 30, and 100 and 100 walks. You can write it down now. So, when I made that statement, you know, the New York media try to act some of the guys try to act tough and um they didn’t like the fact that I told them what I was going to do and I went out and did it. Where’s the lie at? That’s it. Where’s the lie?
