◆Mynavi All-Star Game 2025 All Central vs. All Pacific (23rd, Kyocera Dome)

The Shinjo Theater kicked off at the All-Star Game. Nippon-Ham Fighters manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo, who is now the third base coach for Pacific League, sent a surprising sign wearing sunglasses.

With Pacific League leading by four runs and two outs in the fourth inning, Orix ‘s Wakatsuki came up to bat. When count was 2-2, the word “squeeze” lit up on the custom-made sunglasses worn by Manager Shinjo, which cost 1.6 million yen. As the sign said, Wakatsuki attempted squeeze, but the three-bunt failed due to a foul. Manager Shinjo collapsed on the spot, clutching his head.

Manager Shinjo was an illustrious All-Star MVP in both the Central and Pacific Leagues during his playing days. Before the All-Star game, he said, “When I’m on that stage, I’m a different person. I suddenly switch on, because I’m on the scene. The players are the main focus, so I won’t go and steal, but I’ll go and steal a little bit.” This party man livened up the All-Star game.
