【ようこそライオンズへ！】J.Dデービス選手の入団会見！
Uh I feel truly blessed. Um I’m grateful for this situation. Um this situation or this uh agreement has been going on for a couple of weeks now. It’s been in the works and uh to see it unfold or come through and I truly am blessed and happy with the situation that I’m at right now. Well, with the rich history and the wisdom and experience that the SEU Lions have. Um, and also with the relationship that I have with Nevin, a teammate with the Lions. Uh, I was teammates with him with the athletics. He spoke very highly of the Lions and it made my decision even easier. He talked about um the hospitality, the kindness, um the openness of the organization, but he also talked about um the great city and the great country that we are in and how great food um and just the overall experience that he’s had so far has been nothing but great. I want to see uh I want them to see a player that has a lot of energy, that plays the game hard, that plays the game the right way, and that can represent the Lions in every way that they wish uh a baseball player would be. Uh I would say hitting wise is my greatest tool. Um I can hit for average, I can hit for power. Um and I’m not a bad defender. I’m not the greatest runner, but uh I would say my greatest attribute is hitting. It is different but it is very respectable and it um very high caliber um very talented um and I’m hope to learn a lot from them. My goal so far, um, to be a good teammate, um, to bring, once again, bring some energy to the team, um, be a, uh, a good bat and play solid third base, and to hopefully, uh, have the Lions get into a hot streak and make a playoff push. [Music] I feel good. Um, a little rusty. Um, a little, uh, making adjustments from the trip over to Japan, but I feel confident and I feel ready to go and I feel like, uh, ready to contribute to the Lions. Yes. Yes. He was very excited to that I signed with with the Lions. Um we haven’t gotten dinner yet and I haven’t seen him just yet, but um he is uh one of the guys that I’ll be leaning on and uh being a great teammate and I’m excited. High Lions fans. Um happy to be here. I’m happy to be part of the team and uh let’s make a let’s make a playoff push. Let’s play hard. Let’s have some energy and uh bring the noise when we come to the dome. [Music]
