He shoots that one right away into center field for a base hit. And that perfect form. Well, the man is a machine. You know, the reality is you’re just adding a really good bat to this lineup. Career 285 hitter. You know, he’s like a 15 home run pace guy, but what he does is what this team desperately needs, right? He doesn’t swing and miss. He doesn’t strike outs. It’s just another good at bat. It looks like he hasn’t missed a beat. And of course, Penny’s in the pocket when he runs. Masa one for one. Very first at bat. Coming back off the injury pile as it were with the bad shoulder. Surgically repaired the labum. Run is going to go a step in the throw and a slide. He’s going to be out. Oh yeah. Going to call a B here. So he’s going to be safe at third. Sensitella with a B. Looks like Barrett kind of gestured to the knee. We got to see this one again. So Red Sox have a runner at third on the Bo. You know, Carlos isn’t a guy that usually kind of takes off here. He came set twice. See what this ball call is here. Right there is when he left home played umpire. Lance Barrett had it. It’s a brief discussion but Red Sox have a runner 90 ft away with the infield in and one down. It’s a tough one there. How many times you been on man on third base, less than one out, you’re afraid of the strikeout. This guy is elite. 95th percentile in whiff and strikeout rate. He just doesn’t. Yeah. To your point in 23 full healthy season, batted almost 600 times, just 81 strikeouts. Yeah. I mean everybody strikes out but gives you a good at bat. 2-1 bounding ball and through for hit. Carlos will score and that’ll make it two to nothing. And Masa, you were missed. Two for two. He’s perfect. I mean, he’s perfect in so many ways. Two for two on the year. And again, it’s it’s it’s just making contact, right? like this isn’t smoked, but we’ve seen it before. You just make some contact, you can find a hole. This kind of just gets out of the off the glove of Toi at first. Good things happen when you you don’t strike out, make contact, you can find holes. Brought in a lefty to get him last time and now you bring in a guy throwing a 100. Halverson out of their pen and a 5-2 game. Yoshida Gonzalez and Meyer due to hit and off the mitt at 97. 37th game for Halverson. Erra 404. That’s good for this bullpen. Fast ball split. Little slider to go with it. One to Masa, baby. You’re a man. The macho man back in the lineup. Good to see and the two-1 home. Last year he played one inning in left field. DH in all other appearances. That’s what he is tonight. fouls that one away. Three and two. You know, they waited a while to get this shoulder right. But you look at this outfield. It’s already crowded, right? How many innings you going to get up there now? You’re already sitting a guy at night. The payoff pitch from Halverson. And he’ll flick that one down the line. That’s going to take a bounce off into the crowd. That’s going to be a double. So, first game back, the macho man with three hits. The return from Masa just stayed out through this little split from Halverson. Kind of length through it. Little one-handed. It was too easy with two hands. We’re going to try one just to challenge himself. This guy’s a good hitter. Lead off double here to try to get a couple of those runs back in the eighth.
