“We Got To Stick To Our Game Plan Execution To Win Games.” | Chris Finch Post Game Sound | 12.08.24
Chris where did you see this one starting to go after that strong first quarter yeah I mean this game you know normally there’s like one one point in the game I like the point two where you lose the game but this game had two you know um first was the start of the third quarter you know they had 10 transition Point uh baskets I think to start in the first five or six minutes and a lot of them came after we had scored which is inexcusable um you know we did a really good job with our half court defense they they decided they needed to push the tempo and we didn’t we didn’t answer the Bell right we gave up open threes dunks and you know layups in that period of time so that was the first part then the second part you know was our we lost our composure down the stretch just you know just uh um hero shot after hero shot sou well yeah I mean you know obviously they were aggressive on them and I think um you know he he he took some tough shots I finished I think he finished one for seven and you know it’s those are shots that’s really hard to make over and over and over um so but we when we did move the ball we got good looks you know then keel got into the game through good ball movement so any thought to putting Mike back out there to try to facilitate better looks or was running was going ke was going good I thought about putting Mike out there but ke was going good you know so with ant in in those moments if you sense he’s maybe playing a little too much herob ball can you can you communicate that to him in the moment Howes that yeah we did we yeah we we we you know I told him there were guys open all over the floor um so they the Warriors had a lot of offensive rebounds and and 50/50 balls in this did you see that to be a product of them trying to play faster and push the pace in this game I mean they made it a possession game you know in all all ways they pushed they crashed um you know we turned it over a bit too much at times uh but you know we’re not going to survive many 44o quarters and that’s where the game changed you know so first half it was all offensive rebounds by them you know that was the only thing that they really had going seemed like Jaden had one of his I mean better games Steph had had a really big individual game but but Jaden really seemed to deliver I mean is just kind of continue in the trend what you’ve seen from him defensively yeah I mean we expected a a much more aggressive step tonight um you know they did a good job of trying to get him freed up a bit more um and uh you know we uh we were able to survive that you know we still gave ourselves a chance that we came back um so yeah but Jaden’s been playing great so overall kind of a lesson in consistency or or just maybe minding the things that that got you that 4 game win streak uh whether it be the transition or the cleaning up the glass yep 100% you know it’s just uh the margin for error is still thin you know you got to do these things all the time um and uh you know and we got to get back to executing down the stretch making the right play hey coach uh you you guys have four days off now before your next game what are some of the things you really want to drill to your team to kind of get to that next level to get back to that winning yeah I think we still you know just all the basics right now um work on some offensive execution some spacing issues on offense for sure um you know keep getting better at the things that we know we’re going to have to need to do um which is our foundation over and over
