For the Giants, the veteran Logan Webb, truly one of the best in the national league. He is and he’s pitching, he’s in a hot streak right now in June. He’s 1 to 0 with a 17, one. a so here we go. Steven Kwan leads things off for the Guardians ground ball to second Logan Webb racing over. He couldn’t get the foot on the bag in time and Guan is safe at first to start the game. Well, that’s a good start. Stephen Kwan hustling right out of the box looked like Logan Webb kind of got his feet misplaced there didn’t know exactly where he was on the field. He certainly had to get over there in a heartbeat and stephen Kwan can run a little bit and I believe he went around. He did, but it was a check swing and strike three was the ruling strikes out on a changeup that ended up bouncing in the dirt one out. And here is Jose ramirez batting 319 coming in 13 home runs, 35 driven in, swung on line drive base hit right field for Ramirez moving up 90 ft Isan and now the Guardians have a couple a board with only one out great opportunity right now. Just one good swing of the bat right now and you can get a couple of runs in, in that cleanup spot. It’s carlos Santana, that was a changeup and that put him away. He had two strikeouts with that changeup, two down runners at 1st and 2nd for Lane Thomas still scoreless. Top half of the first inning and a shot to left and it will be and making the catch is Ramos and that will end the inning. Well, well is correct and Ramos makes the catch Elliott Ramos with a perfectly timed head for his dive that saves a run and ends the inning. Well, we got the big rig on the hill. Gavin Williams goes to work in a scoreless game bottom of the first inning. He tried to hold up and he chased and you, he strikes out after a really good at bat and that is definitely low with the cutter ball four yet another in a long string of ovations for the giants new slugger Raphy de overall for the year hitting 2 71 15 homers, 59 batted in a 399 on base average. Stays fair. Both ditches. The mask had a notion to go to second but takes the sure out for out number two as adam moves up to second, but now there’s two down. Elliott Ramos, the batter he’s already made a quality play in this game just power to river 97 at the top of the zone that works too. A couple of strikeouts for the big ring and we are scoreless after one in San Francisco Baylor hitting 181 coming in nine home runs, 19 driven in. Got him back door. Slider struck him out looking that is almost like a magic trick. So now Gabrielle Arias will come up, got him. He struck him out with the four seam high fastball. More strikeouts in two innings for Webb fans. Please help us wish Giants broadcaster DNE Ker Happy 75th birthday. Happy birthday, the Giants and the Guardians scoreless here. Giants offense only has one hit in the first two innings and they’ve been frustrated all series and now the Guardians with four hits against Webb and a big time threat with the heart of the order coming up with Webb. If you have a shot, you got to get to him because there might not be many chances and they have a great opportunity here to the Guardians in the third, got him, got to the two strike count and put him away. Steven just cannot lay off. That’s two strikeouts and both times he struck out and he was on the same pitch. So jose Ramirez with runners at the corners and one out ramirez singled to right field runner goes and a good throw got it. He tried to slide to the back of the bat. He did and I’m wondering if he might not have found a way in there. They’re gonna a good look. I think we’re gonna check that the ball definitely beat him there. I think he might be in there. Check this look out right here. You can see the glove not on him yet. He’s on the bag, he’s safe after a year, the call in the field overturned, the runner is safe and retain their. So gives Stephen quad credit for his 10th stolen base on the year. And Jose Ramirez with two in scoring position is hit on the ground softly to first smith has it. He’s coming home the tag out of the play. Tom smith fielded the ball and very quickly made the decision to come home. Nice, nice tag two outs. That’s another part of the defensive game of Dominic Smith. He’s an outstanding fielder, but he’s got a very good arm and very accurate arm ramirez at first, juan at third. Carlos Santana, the hitter. There’s a liner, a little blooper, it’s going to drop for a hit and the Guardians are going to score after all. Juan comes home, Ramirez head long into third and carlos Santana delivers a two out RB I bloop single and it’s 1 to 0 Cleveland just a little bloop, but it gets the job done. Juan scores and the Guardians take a 1 to 0 lead. He’s only allowed one hit when he’s had a base runner in scoring position in each of the first three innings swing. And a Miss Dominic smith with Jason strikeout. Number three for that might have been the best one he’s thrown today. Swung on ground ball to third snared by Siemen throws Lowe good scoop by Santana and he got him at first. What a play by Santana all the way. Stephen goes a long ways to grab this ball and delivers a one run Santana it all the way into his glove. They barely got it. Gold glove play by Santana and the flip to the big rig who beats him to the bag and now the Giants go in the fourth inning, flies by thanks to some nifty defense and it remains 1 to 0. Cleveland stephen, the batter two for two pair of singles and he has scored the game’s long run swung on drive base hit right field and it’s a three hit day for Kwan. Love to see this. He’s fired up to three base knocks here, swing and it’s rolled to second out into right with a dive to his feet, it in the dirt to first and scooped out by Don Smith to get the put out beautifully done on both ends. Nice play all the way. Williams has been terrific this afternoon for the Guardians leading 10, allowed just two hits. Got him look at it. He knew it could not pull the trigger. That was just a four seam fastball. 95 miles an hour. Devers handled again this week by Guardian’s pitching that hit him up and in and it got him. He’s losing patience. He’s looking over at stephen in the Guardian bench. Here’s Smith runner goes 32 swing and a miss on the second in time. They got him strike him off double play. The big ring with the Hammer down headed for the finish line gets out of the sixth inning and keeps Cleveland in front one to another terrific start for Logan Webb. The only run came in a two out single off the bat of carlos Santana in the third inning. Got him back door slider and just took out perfect location up there frozen like a statue. Strikeout number eight. That’s his third called strike three. Got him. That’s the paint right now. 94 miles an hour coming right back to the corner. Nine strikeouts four by called strike three new pitcher for the Guardians in the bottom half of the seventh inning. It’s right. Matt Festa for a third straight game here in San francisco Guardians up one now, a soft liner into center field that’s going to be a base hit for. So Schmidt is aboard with a leadoff single second hit of the game. Giants three hits. He’s got two of them in front of Jung Lee way outside ball four. So Lee draws the walk. The Giants have two on with nobody out. And Patrick Bailey coming up. Now, if Bailey lays down a bunt , I wouldn’t be surprised if you see Wilmer Flores and bunts it out in front of the plate. It will be Santana from first to field and he’ll go to first nicely done and he did it on the first pitch. Does it sound like a big, but it’s a big thing because it adds to the momentum of the inning. Stephen Vogt is going to make a move to his bullpen. Nick Enright coming on. Wilmer Flores indeed is going to be the pinch hitter. The tying run at third is Casey Schmidt. The go ahead run at second is Jung Ho Lee veteran right handed bat trying to deliver for the Giants and right trying to wiggle out of a jam. One run scores score Flores in the second made and the Giants take the lead. Wilner Flores sharply fair down the third base line. Schmidt will score right behind him. Jung with a hit. The Giants have been missing drives in both runners with a double. It’s 2 to 1 giants 35th appearance of the year for camilo de three and one. He’s got 10 saves with a 164. A got him to England as he struck him out with the Lider. Now the ball drops by Bailey to go over to his right to pick it up. And so belatedly, Thomas takes off for first and is thrown out by Bailey 12th strikeout recorded by Giants pitching today. And so the Guardian’s last hope is bey zero for three and the Giants are one out away salvaging the finale, this one and the throw and they got him and the Giants are gonna salvage a game in this three game series. Folks. It wasn’t easy.
