Yoshinobu Yamamoto was DOMINANT in May 2025 for the Dodgers! | 山本由伸ハイライト
Yoshobu Yamamoto who is just having so far an incredible season. Pitcher of the month in the NL and you can see why. 190 batting average against an absurd amount of strikeouts to the walks and just a 1.06 RA. Yeah, it’s three. Excellent pitch right on the bottom part of the zone. Whoa. The bat goes flying and then ends up in the first base coaches box. An emphatic strike out for Yamamoto. Slow it down. Got him. Third punch out for Yamamoto. Two gone in the third inning. Think Mark React like that. Three pitches, three strikes, back-to-back punch outs for Yamamoto. Cap third. I mean, I think that the Braves are making a conscious effort just to not swing at it. Elevates and gets a swing and a miss for his fifth strike out of the game. Two gone in the fourth. That’s strike three. painted perfectly in the inside corner. Six Ks in four shutout innings for Yamamoto. And you’re 02 against Yamamoto right now. You’re getting a splitter or a curve. It’s a splitter. Two out. Here’s another one. Two. Fast ball speeds by him. Strike three. Backto back Ks. He’s put even bigger expectations on himself. Sometimes been a little bit too weighty. Swings and misses. And he’s the third strikeout victim of Yamamoto’s already. Three and two. Langalers off first as the payoff comes home. He runs a swing and a miss. A throw down from Smith not in time and a stolen base. The one-two from Yamamoto finished him off with a splitter. His fifth. This young man Nick Curts who’s down swinging and Yamamoto’s got his 6K. Six strikeouts all swinging. Shobu Yamamoto as prepares for his 10th start. Well, his stuff is very very good. For the first seven starts, everybody knows he had an erra under one, but the last two have been a little rough. Got him swinging. Pumped the fast ball by him at 96. Say that curve was effective getting strike three on Thomas. Froze him and got him. Backto back punch outs for Yama to finish off a one, two, three, third. Swag and a miss. Strike three went to the split. I love that you use the center of the plate there. Another two- two. Got him. painted a fast ball on the outside corner. Strikeout number five for Yamamoto. That’s three. Fast ball in the inner third. He struck him out with a splitter. Back-to-back strikeouts to open the six. He has seven in the game. At the knees called strike three. Here’s the 2- two. Yoshobu Yamamoto. Seven shutout innings. Eric Scooble yesterday to Yoshobu Yamamoto today. 186, second in the National League. Behind just Kodai Sena and he strikes out. Quan on three pitches. Steven Quan’s one of the hardest guys in baseball to strike out the last few years. On a two- two from Yamamoto Naylor swings and misses. Backto back Ks on that splitter. And opponents against that pitch six for 73 this year. When you have sporadic light like this, you want the ball to start one place and then move. Got him with a high fast ball. Three Ks over the first four hitters for Yamamoto. Getting a lot of Ks with the split finger through the year. And will tonight with this lighting, but here goes with the high fast ball and just rides it by him. The one two from Yamamoto gets him swinging. And that splitter is going right where he wants it to. That’s his 35th K on the splitter this year. 6 for 74. That’s down below 080. Crazy good performance with that pitch. Two-1 Dodgers. Bottom three. One, two from Yamamoto to Naylor. Strikes him out with a butterfly splitter. Diving away from it. Swing and a miss. He gets Quan again. Second hardest guy to strike out in the league. Has gone down on strikes twice. Watch the depth of this split finger. Comes in looking like a fast ball and just bottom drops out of it. First time Quan has struck out twice in a game since the 1st of May. His back leg is always moving towards home plate, which makes him very athletic. Never has to stall and collapse that leg to kind of restart his engine. He’s using linear motion. Wow. Backto back case. This curveball starts above the zone and ends under it. This is where you work really hard on your curve ball even compared to your fast ball because you got to get your fingers to the front of the baseball. So it takes more discipline and more strength to co throw the curve ball than it even does to throw your fast ball. 3-1 to Thomas. That’s swung out. Had in the air to shallow center. Coming in as Pah still coming in. Wind was blowing it back toward the infield. Andy makes the catch. Alamoto’s night has come to a conclusion. Left-hander Alex Bessia will take over out of the Dodger bullpen.
