A beautiful Monday afternoon here in Panama for a CSP varsity baseball game against Pine Valley. A CCAA Division 2 league game. Uh, however, does not help the Wolfpack in the class uh standings, just in the league standings. And uh they’ll face the same team they face Saturday. a win on Saturday over Pine Valley. And now flip spots, home and home, so to speak, much like they do in CCA Division 1. And uh the Wolfpack will come on out to get warmed up here in the infield as we get ready to get going. We’ll go through the starting lineups here for today’s game for Pine Valley. Hitting first and pitching is Cameron Slate. Hitting second, playing second base is Meyers. Hitting third and catching is Ivet. Hitting fourth and playing center field is Chase. Hitting fifth and playing shorts stop is Howard. Hitting sixth and playing right field is Jackson. Hitting ninth will be the designated hitter, Lucarelli. And playing third base for the Panthers is going to be Danley. Flipping it over to your Wolfpack. Uh catching today and hitting lead off is Burchchinowski. Playing first base and hitting second is Bryce Hinsdale. Uh hitting third and playing shortstop, Tate Katnese. Had a nice pitching day the other day and uh he’ll have an opportunity to get things started here for the Pack as he’s been the leadoff guy all year. the Wolfpack in on game two of seven games in eight days. So definitely seeing some different pitching than you had seen to this point in the season as it was mostly Hinsdale and Kney’s up until Saturday. Saturday uh Burchinowski and Abers and now today Max White. But right now, the Wolfpack bats will have a chance here in the bottom of the first as Burchinowski steps steps in to face Cam Slade. Slade, the standout football player from Pine Valley. His first pitch high for ball one. 102 Burchinowski. That pitch over his head. Chinowski will walk low in the dirt. 200 to Hinsdale. That one’s inside for ball three. And there goes Burchchinowski to third. The ball got away from the catcher, got under his feet and by the time he was able to recover it, Burchchinowski was more than halfway there. No throw to be made. And Gavin now safe on third. So now Gavin just one base away from being the first run of the game for the Wolfpack. And they’ll walk Hinsdale. Max who had a really good game on Saturday, three hits on Saturday. Uh I believe it was two singles and a double and he had a really good game on Friday against Lake as well. So Max has really been solid. The mound conference is over. Slade ready to go. White in the box and we’ll get this thing back to action. First pitch to White low for ball one. The second inning, thanks to a double play on a Howard’s uh ground ball that went uh from the pitcher White back to second and then to first. Um and then a strikeout from Jackson to end the inning. As mentioned, the Wolfpack took over sole possession, a second place in CCAA Division 2 over the weekend with their win over Pine Valley. And on a six-game winning streak, now ahead by a whole bunch here. And we’ll see if Max White can keep his pitching domination going, throwing only 17 pitches through two innings. First to bell is a strike. The 01 ball. One-1 now to Bell. Swinging a miss and it’s one two. Max’s pitch called strike three and sets Bell down. That’ll bring up Herman, the first baseman. Herman will try to get the offense going for Pine Valley. They do have one hit back in the second. That was Chase and then he was doubled up on the double play.
