HS Softball Plainville vs Beloit Game 1
Anyway, [Music] test one, Test one, two, All right, welcome finally to the bird’s eye view this afternoon. I’ve been dealing with weather, wind, and rain all this afternoon trying to get set up here and we are in the third inning here of the uh first game, game one with Bloit and it was a pretty tight ball game. No score after two innings. We are in the third inning now and Bo has scored nine to go up 90 here in the third. So right now two outs on the field. We’ll try to get caught up on who’s up to bat and who’s pitching and all the good stuff soon as we can. Uh but right now Bloit is putting some runs up on the board and Planeville trying desperately to get them that third out so they can get on to their half of the inning. So again, thank you for your patience if you were waiting for the game to uh get started. Again, we were dealing with some a little bit of rain, a lot of wind, some huge winds. As a matter of fact, they’re coming back on us right now. So, we’re kind of keeping an eye on the equipment, making sure that things do not blow away. And right now, there’s a little uh timeout called by the Cardinals as they talk about things at the pitching circle. So, we’ll take a short time out here. We’ll get a few more things taped down, and we’ll be right back. All right, we’re back into live action. Looks like Emma Fazelle still pitching on the mound and I am trying to pull up my rosters for this game here today. I can’t get my regular sheets out because the wind is just whipping everything around today. So, I apologize for that. Um, right now the score is nine to nothing. and I’ll get that updated here in the third inning. And there will be a game two here, weather permitting. I don’t think we’re expecting too much to come in uh as the night goes on, but uh if it does, we’ll we’ll take whatever precautions we need to for that. Um but this is a remember this is a rescheduled makeup game from April, I think 25th that got rained out. So, they were lucky enough to find a day to get this in. Boys tonight are at Ellsworth. Um, they are taking on the Bearcats there at Ellsworth and we’ll try to pick up their score a little bit later on as I believe they started their games at 4:00. Uh, hopefully they’re not dealing with the weather and things that we’ve been dealing with here. But, uh, we are rolling and again score nine to nothing with two outs here in the third. Looks like up at the plate is Fis with or excuse me, Manning is up at the plate. Folus on first and Strode on second. Now Fis on her way to second base with a steel. Visel’s had 86 pitches so far here in this one. And a long shot to right field. It’s going to carry out to the fence and that’s going to be extra bases for Manning. Going to bring two across and Manning’s going to end up at second base with a double. And that will make it 11 to nothing Bloid here in the third again. Still with two outs and Manning now at second. Goro now looks like Borbin is up to the plate. Strike one on a missed pitch. Manning sitting at second. Two outs here again. Top of the third. No balls and two strikes on Borbin. That one just on the outside but not on the plate. So ball called there. Pitch on the way inside. Manning staying at second. Borbin 0 for one so far today in this game. Two balls and two strikes. Pitch on the way. Swing fouled back. Stay two and two. All right, two- two pitch on the way from Fisel with Manning on second and that one’s going to be inside. Ball three, full count on Borbin and Manning will uh run over to third. So, she will be in scoring position. So 3-2 count here. Full count on Borbin. Inside pitch. She will walk and the ball gets passed. So Manning will score. That will make it 12 to nothing. and McMillan up at the plate for Blo inside pitch ball one. McMillan one for one on the day and the 10 pitch on the way. Called strike one and one. Borbin staying on first and 1-1 pitch on the way. Swing down the third base line. Nice snag over there by Molina to second base and the third out has been recorded. But Bloy doing some damage in that one and it is 12 nothing as the Cardinals will come to the bat here in the bottom half of the inning. Uh we’ll be right back here after a short break for the Cardinals. 12-0 bullet. Top of the third. Mental health is crucial, especially during high school activities. It is a time when we’re juggling a lot of school, sports, and clubs, and it can get overwhelming. Sometimes we might feel stressed or down. And that’s okay. It’s okay to ask for help when we need it. Taking care of our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Remember to support each other and create a positive environment in our high school community. All right, Cali will be the first batter up here for the Cardinals. Pitching will be right for Bloit. She’s had 33 pitches so far in two innings. And here we go. Bottom half of the third. First pitch on the way. That one’s going to be high and outside. Ball one. Tough day to hit. It is cold. Wind is blowing from the northwest. So, anything hit the left field is going to get just pushed down. Uh Boyd did have a couple of home runs in that last inning, but they uh were kind of hit up high in the air and drifted and kind of went center to right center field. Ball three on whit and that one in there for a strike. 3-1 pitch outside. Ball four. Cali Whit will walk up to the plate. Emma Gable Gable of has not been up to the plate I don’t think yet. And Whit will stay at first. Outside ball. One and one. The count. Pitch on the way. Low ball. And that’s going to get lost there in the dirt. So, Callie on her way to second, standing up with nobody out. One ball, one strike, or excuse me, two balls and one strike to Gable. And the pitch on the way. Swing and a miss strike. It’s foul tip, but still strike. So, two and two the count here. And that one’s going to be outside. Full count. Three and two. 3-2 pitch on the way in there for a strike. So third strike there after the full count makes one out for the Cardinals. And Molina up at the plate for PL for Planeville. That one’s called strike as well. So, still a one-1 count here with one out. Runner on second. That one’s fouled back for a strike two. Third strike and that’ll be two outs on Planeville. Wit still sitting at second base. And up to the plate should be Arpin. Arpin 0 for one. Gets one down the first base line. Just fouled just over the first baseman’s glove. Good contact with the ball though. Just a little bit behind it. And the pitch on the way. Swing up high. Popped up in the air infield. Third baseman running over to make the catch. And that’ll be three outs for the Cardinals. So they leave one stranded on second. No, no runs scored. We’ll go to the fourth inning with Bo uh leading 12 to zero. We’ll be right back. We all know how hard it is to play sports outside work and school. But sometimes we forget that we are not the only ones that are taking the time outside of work and school for these sports. Coaches spend a lot of time outside of school at practices, games, and other team events to help other athletes succeed. They set things up before practice and stay after to help their athletes. So remember to thank your coaches for all the time and effort they put in to make your experience the best it can be. A message from the Kansas State High School Activities. All right, welcome back here to Maxoline Ballfield. Looking at the box score for this one. So far, eight hits for Bo, 12 runs. Cardinals no hits yet, no runs. Had a batter walked in the last inning. Three errors on the Cardinals results in that 120 lead by Blo. By the way, you can uh catch all this information on on Game Changer, the Game Changer app or Game Changer online. You can sign up for an account and watch the games live or at least the uh information. I think Blo might be streaming in as well. You can stream through this uh app. Uh right now we’re streaming through our YouTube channel, but all the live coverage is on that game changer. So, if you haven’t checked it out, do so. Again, we’re going to use that to check on the boys a little bit later as we head into the top half of the fourth inning. We’ll get everything cleared here and see who’s up to bat first. First pitch on the way. swing fouled. So far the uh screen has not quite updated. We got a 01 count here on the foul and that one down the first baseline foul. Looks like it’s Porter up to the plate. So 02 count quickly on Porter. And the pitch on the way. Foul tip. Stay alive. So the O2 pitch here to Porter. Fisel still on the mound. She has 100 pitches as of that last pitch. And pitch on the way outside. I thought she may have caught the corner there, but no luck on that one. One, two, pitch on the way. And that one’s going to be high. Two and two. All right, first batter here of the top of the fourth inning. Two and two count here to Porter and the pitch on the way. It’s going to be a low full count and the 3-2 pitch to Porter on the way. That one swung on down the right first base line again. foul. So, she’ll stay up there for another swing. 104 pitches now for Viselle. That one’s going to be high. So, Porter will get a walk here to start off the fourth inning. Coming to the plate will be Smith, number 44. Pitch on the way. That one’s going to be inside. Porter stays at first. Smith one for three on the game. I was still uh struggling with cables and cameras and all kinds of things uh during the last inning, but I she might have been one of the ones with a home run. Pitch on the way. Swung on down the third baseline. Foul. Cardinals will have one more home game against Minneapolis on May 12th. That’ll be senior night. Make sure you check out that one either here live or on the bird’s eye view. Swing down the first baseline. Foul drifting out and out of the ballpark foul. Two and two count here to Smith. That one was low and inside, but she went ahead and swung at it anyway. Made contact. Foul down the third base line. Stays two and two. That one she swings on. And it’s drifting to the right field. Wind has it, but it’s caught out there. Nice job by the right fielder. Gable out there in right field making a nice catch. That one, I don’t know that you could see it on the camera due to the fence, but that one got up in the air and then just started drifting right as the wind took it. But a great uh concentration out there by Gable to bring that one in. Hawk now at the plate. That one’s high. Border still remains at first. And the pitch on the way. That one. Swing. A swing. A swang. A swing and a miss. Strike one. One and one the count here to Hawk. 113 pitches now for Fisel as we’re in the top of the fourth inning. That one in there for a strike. Nice pitch there by Fisel. Caught her looking a little bit. So now it’s a one uh one ball, two strike count here. One out after that nice catch by Gable in right field. That one’s going to get fouled straight back and into the cars. One or two count stays. Porter on second and Fazelle waiting. And here comes that one two pitch. That one was high. Hawk almost went for it there but held up. So it’s going to be two and two. That one high and outside. That’s going to be full count now to Hawk. Trying to cover up the wind here a little bit as it is still blowing. Not near what it was doing earlier. That one straight up the middle. That one’s going to get into center field. Porter’s going to go to third and Hawk’s going to end up with a single. Long single, but she ends up with a single. So runners at first and third for Boe. One out. Up to the plate number 13. That [Music] is Strode, I believe. I did not get a chance to talk to coaches about names before this one. She hits one out to right field, kind of middle right field, and it’s going all the way to the fence. That’s going to be extra bases. Hawk rounding third. She’s going to be held up there. And a double for Strode brings a run home. Going to make it 13 to zero. The runners at second and third with one out. Pitch on the inside. Nice dig there by Welmer. Right up at the plate now. She’s one for three. And the pitch on the way outside and low ball two. So runners on second and third here. One out. Top of the fourth inning. 13 to nothing. that one. She rockets down. They’re going to say fair. That’s going to bring in two runs and she’s around second digging for third. Cardinals are going to have to get that ball in. And I think they’re just going to give her a ground rule double. I think it kind of went past the fence out there. So, right with a double and two RBI’s. and it’s 15 to nothing now. Francis up at the plate. Francis no hits today so far. First pitch called a ball. Still just one out here. Right at second base. Visel pitch on the way high. It’s going to be a ball. Just throw down to third. Good backup there by the shortstop. I think that’s Makings. Yeah, Makings at shortstop. Good backup play there as the ball went wide. Two and0 the count here to Francis. Pitch on the way low and inside again. Nice dig there by Welmer to keep it in front. Three and0 now. And the pitch on the way from Fisel. That one’s going to be high and outside. Ball three. Ball four, excuse me. So, Francis will get a walk. So, runners at first and third now with one out. And we might have some substitutions going here. They had Manning listed next up at the plate. I don’t have said I don’t have my roster here, but now it’s Fuller. They’re going to say E. Fuller up at the plate number eight. Cardinals need to get the uh Bo team out of here so they can uh get up and get some runs themselves. They’re going to have to score some to keep this game going after five. Nice play there at the shorts stop in time. and Fer’s out but will bring a run across and it’s 16 to nothing Blo. So Fuller on a nice uh out there from shorts stop to first by the Cardinals swinging a miss. Orbin’s up at the plate. One in one count to her. 0 for one is what it says listed here on the game changer app. Now they’re changing that to a 20 count on the board. So, I’m not sure exactly which is correct on the app. It does say there was a strike called earlier. Two and one is what the app says and that’s what it says on the board now. So, we’ll go with that. Hit up high. Foul. Welmer has a chance and she made the play. Nice play there by Welmer to end the inning. Cardinals get out of it here with a chance to put some runs on the board themselves. Boy with nine uh excuse me uh 12 in the third inning, four in the fourth inning. They’re up 16 to zero. We’ll be right back here for the bottom half of the inning with the Cardinals coming up next. Student athletes spend a lot of time at practices, games, and other team events. This can take away valuable time from academics. It is important to remember that academics come before sports. Being involved in multiple sports and activities is great, but so is having good grades. Time management is super important in achieving the goal of good grades while still being involved in your school. Remember, they are called student athletes, not athlete students. I’m Jamie Winsow, and this was a message from the Kansas State High School Activities Association Student Advisory Team. Student athletes spend a lot of time at practices, games, and other team events. This can take away v All right, ready to rock and roll here in the bottom half of the fourth inning. Looks like Viselle will be the first batter followed by Makings and then I believe if anybody or excuse me followed by Makings and then Welmer anybody gets on I don’t have that in front of me but I’ll get it to you as soon as I can. And first pitch on the way to Fisel going to be a ball called one and0. That one’s going to be low on the inside. Ball two. So, right still at the mound. 40 number 42. 51 pitches here. Pazelle 0 for one swing. Foul tip. Two balls in one strike. Little high but playable. Visel swings just a little bit. Uh timing off just a little bit on that one. So strike two. Two into the count here to Visel and a called strike three all on the outside corner. So strike out there by right and that’ll bring Camden Makings up to the plate. Making Z for one here tonight so far. Strike called there. One and one the count to makings. Last time I was here calling a softball game, Makings and Welmer are backto-back home runs. Cardinals could use that in a big big way right now. Strike two there on a swing and a miss by Makings. That one’s going to be high. A little something taken off of that one. Kind of a change up pitch. And Makings was not fooled. So two and two the count there. She makes good contact to the first baseman and they’re going to say they got her just barely. Fuller over there at first base. So making good taunt attack but two up two down so far with Welmer coming to the plate. See if she can get one up there in this wind and have it travel over the fence. Makes good contact. Foul out the right side right underneath the truck. So, no damage there. No balls, one strike to Ryland Wilmer. Good contact up the middle and that’s going to make it through for a single. Well, I think that’s the first hit for the Cardinals today. Nice job there staying alive at the plate by Welmer and substitute runner coming in for Welmer. That’s Brenley Mcdal number 20. She’ll be up first running for Welmer and Dicher up at the plate. She makes good contact but foul down the first baseline. Pitch on the way. It’s going to be outside ball. Mcdal going to make it to second and she gets there in time. Nice steal there by Mcdal. So the Cardinals going to be aggressive here with two outs. Runner at second now. One-1 count Dicher. One-1 pitch on the way. Swing. Contact made but fouled. One ball and two strikes here to Dicher. And the pitch on the way outside and high. Ball two. Two and two. Now one’s high full count now on Dicher. McDow still hanging out there at second base. So 3-2 count here. Two outs. Pitch on the way. That one’s going to be high and outside. And McDow getting lucky there. She was a little bit late on the takeoff, but she made it in safe. So nice job there by Dicher to take the advantage and get the second. So now Dentino up to the plate with two outs, runners at second and third. And Tina waiting for that first pitch. Makes contact. Popped up to the first baseman. And that’ll do the little bit of a run the Cardinals had going there. I had two on, left, two on, three outs. Now we’re going to the top half of the fifth with the boy Trojans leading 16 to nothing. We’ll be right back here on the bird’s eye view. bringing you back here live. That actually is going to end that game as the rule is ahead by 15 anytime after three. So 16 to nothing uh by the boy Trojans at the end of that inning puts that game at a at an end. So we’ll finish game one here. We will reset everything, come back for game two. Hopefully we can get things started at the beginning of the game and not three innings in. I want to thank you for joining us here on the bird’s eye view. Check back with us on the YouTube channel.
