there got a pinch Runner Jose aoar running for profar Manny Machado the batter Zar takes off Pitch high and inside the three throw is going to be late stolen basee for his Zar so now the tying run and scoring position with nobody out two- two on the outside corner got him looking 100 milph on the black and Machado is struck out for the third time tonight one out of the nin now Donovan Solano who is struck out three times in tonight’s game punch to the right side mcneel gets to it gets up and throws him out big time play by Jeff mcneel to get Solano two men down a zart to third mcneel with a nice sliding stop quite possibly just saved the tying run and now they’re at two men away so now the Padres are down to their final out the tying run standing on third base and Jake cronenworth is coming to the plate 32 to cronenworth he struck him out and the ball game is over Edwin Diaz for the first time in 39 days locks down a save 39 days for number 39 and the Mets get a badly needed shot in the arm from their closer puts him away with a slider the reaction from Diaz who usually shows no emotion it tells you how important it was for him
