It has been 8 seasons since Scott McGough has pitched at the major league level. But after four seasons in the NPB, the right hander is coming back to North America on a 2 year deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks. McGough was the closer for the last 2 season for Tokyo’s Yakult Swallows. Now he has an opportunity to help the back end of the Diamondbacks staff which was shaky at best in 2022.
