【オリックス宮崎キャンプ2024】山下 舜平大

開幕投手でデビューした昨季は9勝（3敗）で新人王を獲得した山下舜平大投手。ドジャース・山本、日本ハム・山崎が抜けた今季は宮城とともに先発陣の柱として期待される。

宮崎キャンプ第4クール初日の14日に今春初めてライブBPに登板し、腰の張りで緊急降板した昨年8月26日のロッテ戦以来、172日ぶりに打者と対戦。打者5人に5球ずつを投げて安打性3本に抑え込み、早くも最速155キロまで上がった。
　「最低ラインの球速はクリアしたけど、全体的なバランスはダメだった。実戦といっても（本格的な）投球は3回目なので、もう少し数をこなしていけたらいい」　

　離脱中から励んだ肉体強化の効果を解禁した実戦投球で実感。開幕まで約1カ月半の準備期間を残し、21歳の大器には底が見えない。
