2023年3月22日、フロリダ州マイアミ、ローデポ・パークで行われた日本対アメリカのWBC決勝は、大谷とマイク・トラウトの対戦という球史に残る戦いの末、日本の優勝で幕をとじた。今回のWBCで、アメリカ代表は「最強軍団」と呼ばれ、あたかもそれまでの大会は力をいれていなかったような言説が存在する。果たして、それは本当なのか。今回の動画はそこら辺のことを考えていこうというものである。
